Great stay for family and kids

We loved our stay with our almost 2yo, 4yo, and pup. The space was open, great proximity to beach and downtown area, and owner was responsive.

Wonderful stay in Cape Charles

House was perfect for our group of four, with a bedroom for each of us. House was well equipped, clean and in a perfect location just a block and 1/2 to the beach and shopping/dining. The house has been remodeled beautifully. Host was very responsive and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

Location, Location, Location

This property is beautiful with a short walk to the beach, park and town. Everything we needed, was supplied. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out with comfortable seating in the living room. Every bedroom had a television and I especially liked the master suite on the top floor. Very doggie friendly! Look forward to returning next year.

Nicely decorated house close to there a beach

This is a new rental property. It was a nice place to stay. Since it's new you may need to bring some kitchen tools (strainer for pasta or cleaning fruits and veggies, etc.). It has the appliances you'd expect plus an air fryer. The owner is ordering more chairs for the dinette set. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Good location, friendly neighborhood

House is nicely remodeled, had everything we needed, and was an easy walk into town and the bay. Parking was easy. I wasn’t expecting the living area to be on the second floor… anyone with mobility issues should be aware of the steep stairway. A few hooks would be a welcome touch in the bedrooms and bathrooms, but I have a feeling this remodel is a work in progress and I think it will continue to improve! No complaints… we had a nice time!

Great spot

We are Cape Charles regulars and like staying different places as they pop up renovated. This little gem was done so nicely and we love that it offers itself to the dog friendly community which is rare to find! We had a mix up with communication for check in but fortunately the host was very on top of direct communication and fixed that almost immediately. Lastly we had an issue with the housekeeping staff not coming prior to our arrival but again the hosts were on top of it, had it cleaned within the first few hours we were there, and refunded the cleaning deposit. They were beyond kind in taking care of us for the mix up. Would stay again!

Great place!

We loved staying here in Cape Charles! The duplex is in a great location, close to the beach and the adorable Mason St where there are tons of cute shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back. The home was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The only caution would be if you’re traveling with elderly family members. The main level of the home is upstairs, also the bathrooms could use some grab bars in the showers. Other than that it really is a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We also rented a golf cart to get around town and it was really fun! The host Steve was a great communicator and made our stay easy. Thank you!

Poor Communication

Upon arrival to the property after not having been sent check-in information (the code to access the door and enter the property) my husband and I had to call & text the owners of the property and attempted to contact VRBO customer support. When we finally were able to reach the owners it was an hour past our designated check-in time. Upon entrance to the property we discovered it had not been cleaned (dirty sheets with unmade beds and dirty towels, dirt everywhere from the beach). Owner stated they had difficulty with prior guests checking out in time and had not had adequate time to clean. Owner requested we wait for housekeepers to clean property and return later. We returned to the property around 8 PM (4 hours after our designated check-in time) after driving 4 hours to reach the location. Overall property was good location and I do appreciate the owners apology however open communication in the hours prior to our arrival would’ve been more appreciated to decrease the stress and inconvenience we encountered to start our trip. Unfortunately given how poor the communication was I would definitely not stay at this location again.

We would also like it to be noted that we did try to accommodate the guests as best we could and did send them $100 towards dinner at Cape Charles while they waited for the cleaning to occur.
