Picked this space and found it to be super. Balcony over the river was great. Its an older building but very well kept. Everything worked as it should. Super location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Park Place. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms made it very comfortable for all 9 of us. Also, we were glad to have a washer and dryer with an infant and toddler in our group. Check in was easy. And it's in a great location, right off the parkway so it's quiet. It's near the bypass to Pigeon Forge so you can skip Gatlinburg traffic. Only cons was the sliding patio doors off the main bedroom stuck a bit. We just used the one in the living room instead. And the carpet must have been dirty because the kids bare feet were black! We made sure socks were worn. Everything else was spotless. Some in our party saw bears on the property just about every day, too.

Perfect for hiking groups

This condo is located conveniently on the park end of Gatlinburg which makes it perfect for hiking groups. There was plenty of room for 10 of us. The condo needs a good makeover and updates but we would still stay here again. All the vent covers need a good cleaning as do the baseboards. The upstairs bathroom needs a light above the mirror to be able to see good. We enjoyed sitting outside on the roomy balcony overlooking the river. There was a leak under the sink in the guest bathroom but was taken care of quickly with a phone call to the front desk.

Great!

The condo is in a great location. The local scenery is beautiful. We will be staying here again for future large family vacations. It was roomy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay. There were a few minor issues, like the downstairs toilet being very loose, the upstairs closet smelling heavily of cat urine and one of the burners of the stove not working consistently. Other than that, I just wish there was more seating since it's a high occupancy unit. We had to take turns eating at the dining table since it couldn't hold all of us. We also weren't able to all sit in the living room together due to the lack of seating.

Christmas at Ober Mountain

This property was the ideal location for visiting downtown Gatlingburg and Ober Mountain. The facility has 4 floors of units but there are elevators in the parking garage and carts to transport the luggage to and from the condo. The property manager was helpful, friendly, and informative.The unit fit the description and fit the number of people in my group. There were clean towels and bar soap in each bathroom upon arrival. The kitchen was clean and there were dinner sets, a pot, skillet and utensils to use. There was a coffee pot and microwave that had not been thoroughly cleaned. Also the bathroom floor boards were concerningly dirty which created a lack of confidence in the overall cleanliness. The top comforters had a stale unpleasant odor too. Overall we had a good stay because it allowed our family of 7 to stay in one condo and we had quick and easy access to the tram to Ober Mountain and downtown.

Reviewer Comments: The Condo needs a deep cleaning and the mattress in the first bedroom needs replaced.No one could get a good nights sleep on that bed.The baseboards and cabinets were dirty.Change bulbs to LED. The lighting is really poor.This is our fourth stay at Park Place and this was the dirtiest unit that we have stayed in.

Very clean and comfortable, a quiet location with all the amenities but right around the corner from shops, eats, and at least two tram stops. Sits right on the river where we saw people fishing and yes, a bear was spotted, my husband saw it. Pool and hot tub were clean and functional as was the elevator.

Pros and Cons of our stay at Park Place Condominiums

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Park Place several times over the last 20+ years. It is a great location if you want to spend time in the Park. And you can leave your car parked and walk downtown to most of the attractions. The pool is small but not usually crowded so easy to enjoy. But the condo we stayed in needs some updating and some repairs. The kitchen could use more utensils and lids for pans. The refrigerator and some of the vent fans and ceiling fans need repair or replacing. The beds need better mattresses and definitely need new pillows. But the AC worked well(critical) and plenty of hot water. Bed arrangements were good. The balconies are great-all overlooking the creek. It was pretty quiet, too. All in all we had a great time. We didn’t need much from management but they were very friendly and helpful whff we n we did.

We Love Park Place on the River
