Welcome! Our sweet Mississippi family loves the Smoky Mountains, and we are excited to be bringing some "Magnolia State" hospitality to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Go find and like us on Facebook at Magnolia Bear Retreats!
Magnolia Bear Den is a 3 bed 2 bath newly renovated cozy cabin nestled at the end of a cul de sac in Gatlinburg's Arts and Crafts District. Spend some time on the Arts and Crafts Loop where you can find the perfect souvenir to remember your vacation by. It is truly amazing to see the talents possessed by the local craftsmen. Magnolia Bear Den is less than ten minutes from all of the action in downtown Gatlinburg, less than thirty minutes from Pigeon Forge or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, and approximately five minutes from our favorite spot in the Smokies, Greenbrier Cove. Take a short walk to Mills Park and enjoy all it has to offer, including a playground, picnic area, disc golf course, and Gatlinburg trolley stop. Also nearby is the Gatlinburg Community Center. For a minimal fee, guests may take advantage of the community center's fitness facility, bowling alley, or indoor swimming pool. For you golfers, Bent Creek Golf Course is only ten minutes away.
Or enjoy time together with your family just hanging out at the cabin. The master en suite's custom built tile shower or the common bathroom's jacuzzi tub are both great ways to relax and wind down after a busy day of sight-seeing. Eating out is always a treat, but sometimes you may want to just skip the wait at the restaurants and grill out or prepare a meal in the fully-stocked kitchen for your family. The little and big kids alike can enjoy the multi-arcade game connected to the tv in the bunk room. Get a good night's rest and wake up the next morning to enjoy coffee and quiet time on the deck. Then, go get ready for another day of making Smoky Mountain memories with your family.

IMPORTANT DATES - Guests may not check-out on certain holidays or days thereafter. Please note that you will be asked to change or cancel your booking if check-outs fall on the following dates: Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, or July 4th.

PLEASE NOTE - Refunds are not available due to inclement weather, natural disasters, power outages, acts of God, or other things beyond our control. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover such instances.

The location is perfect. The kitchen is well stocked. We were in the go most of the time so we basically just slept and showered there. There is plenty of space for the whole family. Our kids loved the bunk room.

Very clean cabin. With the king bed, I sleep like a baby. chances are I will return to this cabin. Oh, and by the way, there are bears there. Did not feel threatened but, I did give them a lot of respect.

Jodi’s cabin was peferct for our mountain trip. Only about a 10 minute drive to downtown. Cabin was well furnished and I loved the fall decor. Beds were comfortable as well.

Great Stay with Family

I stayed here with my kids, ages 6 and 9. Check-in and check-out were completely painless. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. Beds seemed clean, and there were plenty of extra blankets. Bathrooms had toilet paper, lots of towels and washcloths, and hand soap. Kids loved the video game in the bedroom. We saw two black bears at the top of the driveway, including one that came onto the porch and right up to the front door. Location is convenient, but also has great privacy.

LOVED IT

Had a great time here! Hosts were so great and so reachable !!! Would absolutely book with them again. Very quiet neighborhood, all amenities were available, the only downfall was we had to leave! Thanks again

Family Summer Vacation

Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Location was perfect, rooms are big enough. My only complaint would be there is no dresser in kids rooms (bunk beds) would have loved one but used the one in the master room.Besides that we loved the cabin.

Great and easy location - cozy perfect cabin!

This property was great. You are in the woods on a quiet culdesac but still close to everything you need and no scary roads. The cabin had all the amenities needed and was comfortable and cozy for our group of 7. Would definitely stay again!

Great family stay

Spent a week at the cabin with our family and had a great time! Centrally located to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, we were able to do a lot. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Hot tub was great after a long day.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay in this quant cabin. Great location and adorable neighborhood. Clean and comfortable. The only negative I could say about this place is that the bed is that it was incredibly firm. Hosts are great and the hot tub after a long day is perfect.

Great Experience

The cabin had everything we needed and more! Extra trash bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, coffee...everything you usually have to bring along. It was nice! Great location, easy access to everywhere we wanted to go! We used the one dresser in the 2nd king bedroom because there wasn't one in the kid's room. Not a big deal, but would have been harder to unpack with another couple utilizing that room. No complaints here, just an observation, because it worked for us! Thank you for everything!

The Perfect Location

The cabin was great. The bedrooms had the most comfortable bed and pillow I have used in years. The set up of the cabin was perfect for our family. There was a nice playground within walking distance and a super easy drive to the grocery store and downtown Gatlinburg (10 minutes). It was a quiet area that made it feel like we were out in the mountains yet still so close.

Great for a family stay

Clean cabin close to Gatlinburg. Great for a family stay. We loved the hot tub and appreciated having the washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner as well.

Magnolia Bear Den was purchased, renovated, furnished, and decorated with families in mind! There's a master king bed suite with a custom tile shower, a king bed in the second bedroom, a bunk room with two bunks for the kids, and a large common bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi tub. The open concept kitchen and living area or deck areas outside make the perfect spots to hang out and spend time with each other.

Magnolia Bear Den is nestled in a quiet, wooded corner in a cul de sac. It's quiet and private yet close to all of the nearby attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The roads to the cabin are paved and in excellent condition. (No scary mountain roads). Greenbrier Cove is five minutes away. This is our favorite spot in the Smokies. The Little Pigeon River runs through it. The scenic drive is breathtaking. This is our favorite picnic spot, and there are plenty of hiking trails and places to explore here if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy nature.
