Esta es una casa Lake personalizada de 3000 pies cuadrados, construida en 2011 y ubicada en el mundialmente famoso embalse de Toledo Bend.

Ubicado directamente en el famoso 'Chicken Coop': estamos ubicados en un tramo del lecho del río Sabine que toca el lado oeste del lago y permanece cerca de la costa durante casi 2 millas. Esta excelente zona de pesca es bien conocida por los lugareños como The Chicken Coop. Host was always in contact with me. Amenities were amazing, shampoo, coffee and several small things were included, helped so much for things we might have forgot to pack. Plenty of room for several families. Beautiful house, and beautiful views. And, hottub was so nice for when the kids went to sleep. I have zero complaints, and will absolutely be returning again.

Very spacious, everyone could visit across the house but also had their own space in the evenings to relax away from everyone. Kids loved the bunks. Fenced in yard was amazing. Neighborhood was very quiet. View was great. Communication with the owner was great, never felt like I was bothering them. Top notch family/pet friendly place if water access isn't a necessity.

Beautiful home & place, quiet & relaxing

It was a great place to stay. We just had a few issues: one couldn’t be avoided as large upstairs fan broke the week before and couldn’t keep it cooled enough. Previous renters left food, candy wrappers under bunk bed mattresses and ants were all over. Otherwise, we enjoyed the home and yard.

Great place for a group of friends.

We had a wonderful time. 13 adults enjoying an annual vacation together. The house was spacious and comfortable with wonderful views. Very peaceful. Kitchen was big and well stocked. Communication with host was perfect and very responsive. Our only suggestion is better quality bedding. The beds, pillows and bedding had seen a lot of use and did not match the overall high quality of this lovely home and property.

Great stay and awesome location.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Bardomenium over Memorial Day weekend! With 14 of us under one roof, we never once felt cramped—there’s so much room in the house that everyone had space to relax and enjoy. The kitchen was a standout—extremely well-stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for our big group (pots, pans, utensils—you name it, it was there!).The hot tub was a total hit and became the go-to spot for winding down each night. The views from the property were beautiful, adding to the peaceful and scenic vibe of the whole trip. And to top it off, communication with the owners was fast, clear, and super helpful from start to finish.Our family had the best time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Lakeside view very beautiful

This property was absolutely beautiful breathtaking a country style getaway. We all felt so secure and comfortable. We sit out on the balcony at the back and just watch the lake with the fire pit going. It was gorgeous. The way the home is designed the pictures on the Internet does not do it justice. You have to come hmand see this home in person. I would definitely come back. I would definitely recommend this home if you bring kids, they can be on one part of the house you can be in another and everybody can enjoy themselves it has areas where the kids can hang out everyone will be spaced out. No one has to be on top of each other. I would definitely be back.

Memorable 82nd Birthday Celebration

The home and view is nothing short of amazing. We rented to celebrate my mom’s 82nd birthday and it was perfect. There was plenty to do for the adults and kids alike. Unfortunately there was a burn ban in effect during our stay so we didn’t get the opportunity to use the fire pit, but still enjoyed just sitting there taking in the view. Missy, the host was very responsive, informative and a pleasure to in which to interact.

2024 Cousin Weekend

A group (8) of 50+ year old cousins spent the weekend at the lovely Barndomnium. It had plenty of space for all of us to relax, visit, cook and sleep. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved having the large garbage can in the kitchen. We didn't have to take the trash out as often because of this. The pantry was an added bonus. We didn't have to have all of our food and snacks on the counter/island. I reached out to the owners a couple of times for minor questions. They were very responsive. We found some firewood for a small fire in the fire pit. We sat outside and enjoyed the stars and the fire. There was only 1 minor issue about cleanliness. The floors could have been mopped better. Family fun

We took a multigenerational family vacation. There was something for everyone at this spot. The teenager who thought it would be boring had a great time. The octogenarians had fun. The place is well appointed with things to do inside and outside.

Girl’s Getaway

We highly recommend this very unique Barndominium. The house is very spacious, very clean, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were extremely comfortable. The view is fantastic!!! Excellent communication from the owner - very clear and easy check in and check out information. We hope to stay again!

Relaxing Beauty

We had an amazing stay! Place was so relaxing and beautiful. Couldn’t ask for anything better! The area was nice and quiet. We had a large crew and all had more than enough space for everyone. Beautiful Property

We struggle to find places big enough for our yearly family vacation and this place was perfect! So much space for everyone and comfortable rooms/living spaces. The view of the lake is relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect House on Toledo Bend

The pictures do not do this property justice. It is very spacious and open. Perfect for a decent size gathering. We had a group of 10 adults and it was awesome for us. The yard is great for playing various games and there is a marina 3 minutes up the road with water access if you want to swim or fish as this house is on a cliffside. I highly recommend this place. I will absolutely be staying here again when I return to Toledo Bend.

Great weekend stay!

We had a great time this weekend. The place was clean and plenty space for us. We cooked crawfish, used the grill, and went fishing on the weekend. There was plenty room for our group of 10. Beautiful view of the lake and quick access to a boat launch. The hosts were excellent communicators, checking in before during and after our trip. Would stay again!

Fabulous

This VRBO was over above what expected. The home was beautiful and so cozy. Everything that’s on the site is accurate BUT even more than described. The host was quick with replies, no issues at all. Although we did think from photos we would be able to fish from the deck, there was no way lol but it was so peaceful and relaxing we didn’t miss the fishing. It was such a pleasure communicating with Missy and we are already planning our next trip….to this place!!! If you’re looking for anything similar to this, I suggest you choose this place!

Great house

The house is exactly what you see in the photos. Very nice for a large group. The firepit and pool table were great for the teens. The only drawback was no access to the lake but the house and hot tub made up for it.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at this property. The owner initiated a text to ask if check in was ok and that opened a line of communication. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a large group of 11 including kiddos. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked and there were even some holiday decorations up! The set up inside is really great for cooking and eating and we enjoyed the outside fire pit and hot tub as well. There is a fenced in yard which was great for our pet. Toledo Bend lake is beautiful as well. The town of Hemphill was about a 20-25 minute drive away, where they have a few more places to eat and well stocked Brookshire brothers. I would stay here again and would rate the accommodations as excellent. I would recommend bringing hangers if you have a lot of hanging clothes as well as extra paper towels and paper, etc.
