Clean and cool

Our room was clean and the a/c kept us nice and cool despite the 109 degree heat index. The beach was a short 4 min walk away. The area seemed peaceful and quiet.

This was our 2nd time staying there. For the most part it’s clean, great location to the beach. But if we decide to go back I will bring my own tools for repairs and extra trash bags. The shower handle was messed up and only one trashcan with one bag. I let them know the shower handle was messed up and all I got was a Thanks for letting me know, not offering or willing to fix it during our stay. And when I asked about trash bags I was told that only enough is provided to get started and not for the whole stay. We love the outer banks. But it might be time to find a new place for next time.

Listing pictures misleading

The best aspect of the property is the proximity to the beach. It is a 2 minute walk. The room was cool and clean. However, the listing was very misleading, in that the pictures for every unit depict a living area as well. It is not clear on the website that it is a community room only and each unit is only a bedroom. Found out when we checked in that this is a community living area, and the property felt more like a hotel room. There was no kitchen access either. Found out when we checked in that only one unit has kitchen access. The decking area was very dirty and had not been wiped down or grills cleaned. There were ashtrays and neighbors in rooms next door who smoked. As a non-smoker and someone who is allergic to smoke, this was very discouraging.
