This incredible post and beam ‘eco’ house was built in the 1970s with century’s old beams from a barn in Renfrew, salvaged river rocks and lumber. There’s no other house in the world quite like this one.

Renovated in 2022 with modern touches throughout, this country house is ideal for entertaining and relaxing.

We LOVE to cook, so on the main level, you'll find a fully equipped chef's kitchen with a large island and bar seating for 3. Brand new appliances include a new dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and smart refrigerator with built-in speaker and touchscreen TV.

The main level continues with three spacious living areas; a sofa lounge with two single sofa beds, a wood burning fireplace (wood is provided complimentary for your use) and Smart TV (streaming services like Netflix included) and a dining area with a travertine dining table that seats 6-8.

Also on the main level is a powder room, as well as a bedroom with a queen bed. This bedroom has a desk and office chair if you need to work “from home”.

On the intermediate level is a sitting area with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. This space is great for board games (pick one from our extensive library!) reading and lounging with a drink. Enjoy your morning coffee here as you watch deer, fox and birds wander through our garden!

The TV on the main level is on a swinging arm so you may watch it from any space on the main or intermediate level.

On the upper level are two large bedrooms. The main bedroom is exceptionally large with two spacious wardrobes, a king bed and a Smart TV. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, dresser and desk.

A large full bathroom on the upper level includes a shower, bathtub and brand new washer/dryer.

The kitchen opens onto a 3-seasons outdoor living and dining room, fully enclosed by bug screens and with outdoor heaters and lots of lighting for your comfort. This gazebo space opens in May. Outdoor sofas seat 8-10 and the outdoor dining table seats up to 8. In the summer months, we also have a swinging chair in the porch area. A propane BBQ is provided.

The house has Fibre Optic high-speed WiFi throughout and enjoys full mobile service on all major networks.

The house also has air conditioning and fans throughout.

Art and antiques throughout the house were collected on our travels throughout Europe and the Mediterranean.

Many homes claim to be one of a kind. This one really is. We hope you’ll love its unique features and beautiful scenery as much as we do!

Guests may access and enjoy all areas of the home, with the exception of the unfinished basement and some closets.
