Three certainly isn’t a crowd at Ocean Pearl in St. Augustine Beach. With three floors, four bedrooms, and two additional sleeper sofas, this beachfront house can sleep up to 13 people with ease, making it ideal for a multi-family vacation, a wedding party, or a school reunion.
Although the house was recently updated and professionally decorated by the owner, who has an interior-design background, sandy feet and wet swimsuits are definitely allowed. That’s a good thing, given that in addition to overlooking Crescent Beach—there’s even a private walkway to its white sands—Ocean Pearl has its own in-ground pool. You can catch some ocean waves in the morning, then enjoy a luxurious swim in privacy at night. Perfection!
In addition to the roomy patio surrounding the pool, Ocean Pearl has decks spanning the front of the house on both the second and third floors. There you can relish the fresh ocean breeze while enjoying a drink and watch seabirds and surfers alike on the beach; the house is in fact located just off a popular surfing spot, so don’t forget your board.
Of course, you can savor the ocean views from inside as well. The open-plan third floor has a wealth of windows as well as a spacious living room with roomy couches (one of which converts to a bed for one), a 50” HDTV, and even an Xbox. Adjacent is a dining area and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. You can serve the kids at the breakfast bar before joining the adults at the dining table—a setup certain to make everyone happy. With its sparkling appliances and gleaming counters, the fully equipped kitchen will make anyone who enjoys cooking happy as well. There’s grocery shopping nearby, so feel free to stock up on all the food you’ll need for your stay; there’s plenty of room in the fridge, the freezer, and the cabinets to store it all.
Also on the third floor is the master suite, complete with a king-size bed, a TV, and patio doors that open onto the deck—because nothing’s more romantic than enjoying the moonlight sparkling on the ocean in the arms of that special someone. The en-suite bathroom has both a slipper tub for long, relaxing soaks and a shower for when you want to quickly kick-start the day.
Three additional bedrooms are on the second floor, one with a king-size bed, one with a queen bed, and the third with a double bed and a single. All three rooms have their own HDTVs—no squabbling over what to watch. Two full bathrooms are on this floor as well. There’s even a second sitting room with its own 50” HDTV, perfect for the kids to hang out. A sofa in this room converts into a bed as well.
The ground floor has a spacious entryway—talk about making a fabulous first impression!—
Ocean Pearl is so luxurious, you may be tempted to spend hours, if not days, lazing and lounging inside, on its decks, or in its pool. But because of its prime location—we did mention the private walkway to the beach, right?—there’s plenty to do nearby. The house is just off the stunning A1A Scenic Highway. Nearby you’ll find Marineland, St. Augustine Lighthouse, and a wealth of parks for biking, hiking, and bird-watching, as well as historic St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city. Even the Orlando theme parks are just a day trip away.
Whether you’re planning a relaxing getaway, a family fun fest, or a chance to spend quality time with the gang, Ocean Pearl is a perfect place for it, combining easy living with extraordinary luxury. So what are you waiting for? Make your reservation today.
Hi! My name is Steve Milo and I started Vacation Rental Pros in 2006. Our family stays in vacation rental homes whenever we travel, both domestically and abroad! I own several vacation homes and listen carefully to all our guests' feedback. Our greatest compliment is when folks refer Vacation Rental Pros to their friends and relatives. We now manage over 1,800 properties in Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. We have homes in Ft. Myers Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Hilton Head and Gatlinburg. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2016. Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
The location of the property was excellent. Just a short walk down the stairs to the beach and a short drive to downtown St. Augustine. We even found a wonderful restaurant 3 miles down the road. The property was clean and well maintained. I would reccommend bring more cookware and storage containers if you are planning to do a lot of in-house meal preparation.
Overall it was a wonderful place to stay. My son was in the third bedroom and said that the bed was horrible. The 2 King size beds slept very well. The kitchen was stocked with the bear essentials and didn't have enough forks and spoons, but most people don't usually cook that much on vacation. But I do. The accomidations were wonderful, also the view and everything else. There were alot of steps, but I loved the exercise. Sincerely hope that I can stay there again. Renee
When we got there, the place we rented was still occupied. Fortunately, somebody was there from vacation pro. He showed us the one next door, which was totally unacceptable to us. He then found one vacant two condos away, and that was acceptable and very nice, until two hugs dogs moved in next door. We did not use the downstairs balcony the last few days of our stay. I would not stay in a pet friendly condo ever again.
I really enjoyed the location of the house. I didn't enjoy having to wait over an hour to get into the unit because we could not access the lock box and nobody at VRP's knew what to do. The stairs in the home are not "senior" friendly and I had my elderly parents with me. That will be something I will look into more carefully in the future. There weren't enough washclothes (4 for a house that sleeps 8), and there were 2 spoons in the kitchen. My granddaughter was just the right height for a broken ceramic lamp to cut herself, and the coffee pot had a big chip in the glass. There were lots of light bulbs out, an ironing board that wouldn't stand, and little things like that. For the amount of money we spent (to not even get a full week), things should have been much nicer. We did enjoy our time there and I liked the fact that the beach wasn't busy. I will know more of what to look for next time and am quite hesitant about using Vacation Rental Pro's again. I figured they would have offered some sort of compensation for the inconvenience of not being able to get in, but they didn't.
Minor issues were: No hot water on arrival, this was easily remedied by flipping a switch in the fuse box with the maintenance staff instructions.
Kitchen did have some dishes, a service of 7 which meant washing dishes and flat ware frequently- Next time I will pick up paper plates and plastic utensils and cups,TP, papertowels and dishwashing stuff on the first day.
Outside seating was limited to 3-4 chairs per unit, which on a beautiful morning was encouragement to walk the beach! Overall, we enjoyed this property- the inside was comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is big enough for a couple of people to prepare meals, and had plenty of storage.
The upstairs hall bathroom toilet runs- not a problem for us but I wouldn't want to get that water bill.
Beds were comfortable, and nicely decorated-master bath-ohh so nice!
We were pleasantly surprised to find the rental was not the same one pictured on the website--it was much better. The only thing that could have been a problem (but wasn't, since another renter came out to greet us) was that the key was not where we were told it would be. The lock boxes have moved. If it weren't for the kind lady who pointed them out to us, we might have been locked out--except that the property was left unlocked. You might want to update the information sent prior to check in. However, all that said, it was a wonderful wonderful place to be! The condo was beautiful, extremely clean, and we all had a great time! Many, many thanks! We'll definitely be back.
