Garden Mini Villa with pool and jacuzzi

Bedrooms 1
Space 1,100 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

House, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3)

Now with with new pool, jacuzzi and outdoor kitchen/living area. Spacious mini villa in beautiful lush garden. Gated and secure property.

New 2 stories guest house. Stunning architecture, bedroom loft with garden views.

We are located 3 blocks from the 'Malecon', the beach and Marina La Paz. Walk to everywhere.

Wake up to the sound of the church bells, at a distance you may hear a chicken or the water man driving down the street delivering water to the 'abuelitas'. From this great location our guests can enjoy all the flavors and colors of La Paz. This is real Mexico. Just a short walk to little 'hole in the wall' restaurants or some of the city's best taco stands. We are 3 blocks to the famous Rancho Viejo, aim towards the beach, follow the smoke and you'll find it!

The house is in a large garden with access through our home with a fountain, pool and jacuzzi. Comfortable furniture to enjoy the outdoor living lifestyle of Baja. The outside eating area is equipped with a proper Weber gas grill. There is a charcoal grill as well. Most importantly there is a hammock for naps. The new outdoor kitchen has everything you need.

We provide an ice chest and towels and chairs for the beach. All the windows have lined curtains for privacy. The bedroom loft has a queen size bed, and the living room has full size sofa/bed. Enjoy high quality bedding and linens. There is WiFi and AC. Gated parking. No children.

Must love dogs! We have a large friendly dog (Jelly Bean) and now a rescue (Mimi Coyotte). Mimi is still a bit shy, she was found emaciated by the side of the highway in January 2017. She was afraid of her own shadow. Doing much better everyday with love and kindness and her big sister Jelly Bean looking after her.

Keywords: B & B, Two story mini villa in beautiful garden. Gated and secure property.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved our stay with Christine and Kevin. The place is immaculate, comfortable and we felt like we were visiting friends. They helped us out greatly with advice about places to go. Christine will make you anything you want for breakfast, truly amazing. We also enjoyed the cocktails on the roof top for sunset. We will be back next year! Jelly Bean the dog is a sweetie, she helped us not to miss our own dogs!

Great Location - Awesome Hosts - Clean Casita

  • 5 of 5

We loved this property and the owners!! The location was great and the casita was spacious! The villa was within walking distance of the malecon and the city center. Christine and Kevin (and Jelly-Bean!!) were very welcoming and fabulous hosts – always giving us suggestions for things to do, places to see and where to eat great food.

The weather wasn’t in our favor so we didn’t get to take advantage of the Jacuzzi but we did take advantage of the BBQ grill one night. I loved the outdoor kitchen – it had everything we needed to make dinner one night, and I’m sure if there was something we required, Christine and Kevin would have been more than happy to supply it.

We went snorkeling one day and Kevin hooked us up with some snorkel gear and jackets to wear when we got out of the water (it was overcast and windy that day, so the jackets were a lifesaver!!) When we went to the beach they lent us some beach chairs and a cooler.

Being the gracious hosts that Christine and Kevin are, one night they invited us out to see a band named Mala Rumba play at one of the marinas and after we enjoyed the taqueria right around the corner, which had some amazing food (highly recommend it).

We will definitely be back again!

Great !

  • 4 of 5

This is a great property. There is a BBQ, jacuzzi and private outdoor kitchen. But who wants to cook? There is a taco-rea a couple blocks away that served the most amazing Mexican food of my life. The Baja is safe and so fun to explore. From the big surf of the Pacific and its secluded beaches to the calm waters of the Cortez, its all within reach. The hosts are so nice and their dogs fun to play with.

Beautiful casita, lovely hosts

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing. The casita is lovely, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The owners, Kevin and Christine, are the most hospitable and warm people you will ever meet. It's about 6 blocks to the malecon, and if you enjoy walking, you can get anywhere you want on foot. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, you can eat at a new place every day and always get an excellent meal. Kevin and Christone know the town well, and can help you with any questions you have. It is the hosts that really make this place the great place that it is. We will be back.

comfortable and well cared for city abode

  • 5 of 5

Christine and Kevin are overwhelmingly hospitable hosts.

Their "Mini Villa" is just a short walk from the city centre, many restaurants and shops, and is in a relatively quiet neighbourhood which is easily accessed from main roads in La Paz.

It has every amenity one could need for a quick stop or long stays. All amenities are in good working order, clean and cared for. The indoor living area is tastefully designed and decorated with a " modern, funky, flair" and has easy access to the pool and garden as well as the outdoor kitchen. One unique feature of it is that you must pass through Christine and Kevin's home to access it, but they are more than comfortable sharing their living space. That being said, there is no lack of private space.

There are plenty of resources to help navigate La Paz and the surrounding area, as well as tips on restaurants, shopping and activities.

I would not hesitate to return there in the future.

Boulder, Colorado

"Above and Beyond Expectation" is a silly understatement. "Spectacular" is more like it.

  • 5 of 5

Imagine you had a dream where you woke up in a luxurious villa artfully decorated with Mexican textiles and colors, and went downstairs to make your breakfast in a fully stocked chef's kitchen - outside - to the sound of birds chattering. Then your hosts offer to take you snorkeling among the sea lions, on their boat. Spend the day exploring town, and then wonder where to eat dinner. Choose a restaurant from the list of recommendations and heaven is yours again. Truly, Kevin and Christine give you the entire vacation experience as personal concierges, adventure-equipment suppliers, and kind friends. Every detail of the house has been thoughtfully considered from the choice of decor to dressers and shelves for your clothes - unpack, as if you live there. Need a snorkel? Kevin will personally outfit you. They will make arrangements for every whim, offer advice, and steer your vacation toward the time of your life. Each day, we awoke amazed and giddy in our exquisite environment, pool, home, kitchen, and of course JellyBean the wonder dog. If you truly want a vacation that requires nothing on your part but enthusiasm, this is where you stay. They are foodies, so don't bother with trial-and-error dining. Just go to every restaurant they've listed, as they reviewed them personally, the foodies that they are. We're still savoring some of the indescribable meals we ate. This is a complete vacation in every way, from the spectacular house, to sumptuous food, to peaceful relaxation.
