  • Beautiful House/Central Location

"We are a family of 5 and this house was great! We didn't realize how detached the 3rd bedroom was going to be, our children are 5, 8 and 10, no one would sleep in it so Yolanda brought an air mattress, no problem. That bedroom would be fantastic to bring along grandparents, that will be the plan next time. La Paz is a beautiful city with loads to do. A bus station that will take you to the beaches is about 2 blocks away. The malecon is a lively place in the evening and we all enjoyed walking in the evening. The whale sharks are not to be missed, an amazing day. We went out with Benjamin Duarte, he was an awesome guide!! Go with him! I even lost my phone along with credit card and it was returned to me! This was such a welcome surprise! You should go to La Paz and this house is highly recommended. Enjoy!"

  • Villa de Estrella in La Paz is a hidden gem, off the beaten path!

"Had a great 10 days on the Baja. The Villa has all the comforts of a wonderful vacation home and more. Loved golf, walking on an endless, uncrowded beach, swimming with whale sharks, visiting Todos Santos and having amazing dinners at Sorstis and Tres Vergenes in La Paz. Met great people from all over on the ferry rides! Hats off to Martha, whose beautiful, smiling face greeted us each day as she made sure we were comfortable, and to Chewy at the Cactus Restaurant. His breakfasts and lunches were memorable, but the dinner he cooked for us in the Villa was incredible...a very talented chef! Book water excursions through Alonso Tours, a family operation... the father piloted the boat and the son swam with us...sorry we didn't get to Espiritu Sanctu Island with them! Best of all, take Humberto's advice for the best vacation ever!"

  • Beautiful

"This was the nicest vacation rental I have ever stayed in. Extremely spacious, with excellent views . Once you get the hang of the water taxi, easy access to town, but allows for quiet time back "home ". Super nice people. Would definitely return."

  • Loved it!

"We arrived into La Paz mid-afternoon on New Years Day. We met the 'contact' for the house, Antonio, at his Gelato shop near the Malacon. A short drive away was this villa. As others have stated, the curb appeal may leave a bit to be desired. However, once you enter the courtyard, you will be amazed at the quality of this Villa. We rented the villa with two families - 4 adults and 3 teenagers. One couple enjoyed the 'main house' which is in the back of the property. This has the spacious and well-laid out kitchen, the living room, a huge bedroom and bathroom. The other couple enjoyed the spacious upstairs suite, which had its own private staircase entry. Again, a good size bedroom and large bathroom. One of the boys stayed in the lower room, with a bathroom he could use across the courtyard, while two other boys enjoyed the separate apartment, which had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living/kitchen area and its own balcony. So we ultimately had five bedrooms in use, and each bedroom had access to its own bathroom. The villa was VERY comfortable. We really enjoyed the huge open courtyard, with a private pool, several comfy sitting areas, two covered sitting areas, and a tangerine tree that provided us with our daily dose of fresh fruit. We cooked several meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and used the gas grill in the courtyard. The LEY grocery store was located a short two blocks away and had absolutely everything we could have wanted, all at very reasonable prices. We had two cars, so we parked one in the protected garage, and the other directly in front of the villa, on the street. We considered it a safe area. The wi-fi worked great, and they even had SKY television in the lounge, although we really didn't watch TV. We particularly loved how they decorated the villa, and we appreciate the excellent style. While in La Paz, we took advantage of the whale shark snorkeling, we went fishing (about a 1 hour drive away, took a day trip to Todos Santos, and enjoyed walking around and exploring. There are only two complaints that we had: there was a bad smell in the living area of the apartment; and please note that the villa is located directly next to a museum, which had some traditional Mexican dance lessons going on - the music and foot stomping was loud, but usually over by 9pm. If you are looking for a private home, away from any crass tourism and in a fun, local neighborhood, this is your kind of place. We highly recommend it."
