Escape to The Kickback, a cozy Lake Huron waterfront cottage near Tobermory. Set on 2 private acres with 120+ feet of shoreline, enjoy sandy beaches, flat rock ledges, stunning sunsets, campfires, and crystal-clear swimming. Minutes from Bruce Peninsula National Park, The Grotto, Flowerpot Island, Little Cove and Tobermory attractions. Sleeps 6 (max 4 adults, 2 children). Off-season 2-night minimum; July & August weekly rentals Friday-Friday. Book your 2026 getaway today!

Rustic charm meats mid-century modern. The Kickback features a well-equipped kitchen and inviting bedrooms as well as baseboard heating and a cozy wood fireplace, ensuring comfort on those chilly Spring and Fall nights. Ceiling fans in the rooms provide relief for hotter nights however the windows all have screens that open for you to enjoy the cool evening summer breeze and sounds of nature.

Enjoy your dinners cooked outside with the propane BBQ provided. A spacious outdoor area provides ample space for relaxation and dining outdoors, equipped with Adirondack chairs and a wooden table and benches that overlook the water.

The proximity to water and the presence of mature trees enhance the sense of seclusion and connection with nature.

Scenic and tranquil neighborhood situated on the shores of Lake Huron. Approximately 7-10 minutes from popular attractions: Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula National Park (the Grotto), Little Cove, Singing Sands and Fathom Five National Marine Park (by boat).

Nearby towns provide additional amenities including shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as many trails and conservation areas.

A vehicle is required to get around the Peninsula.

2 night minimum.

Beautifully situated cottage, very private with lots to do. There are kayaks, paddleboards and bikes. Just a 5 minute drive to grocery store and 10 minute drive into town. Beach chairs around the fire pit, picnic table and chairs in shady grove. Spectacular views with beautiful sunsets.

An absolutely lovely cottage with spectacular sunsets. Close to the village of Tobermory and easy access to some incredible hikes. The cottage is cozy and clean. We just wished we could stay longer.

We had a good experience during our 2 night stay. The hosts quickly responded to our communication. It was appreciated that there were starter quantities already available when arriving like hand and dish soap, paper towel and toilet paper. Linens and towels and pillows were plenty. The place was very clean! The property provides everything you need! Lots of outdoor seating and access to paddle boards and kayaks. An easy hassle free location with all the basics. We loved the rustic beach and inlet location. Great star gazing and location to watch the sunset. Highly recommend if you’re going to Tobermory.

Wonderful

We had a fabulous time at the cottage itself. Lovely spot on the lake. Lots of trees and beautiful rocky beach with sandy areas as well. Tobermory and the Bruce Trail were also wonderful to visit.

Cozy and comfortable

It was the perfect place for our short break. Host was very helpful in directing us to this property which had, essentially, a private beach. Well equipped, we made all of our meals in the cottage, did some kayaking and had some great walks. Would go again.

This cottage is truly amazing, located on the west shore of the peninsula. It offers the perfect spot to watch the sunset while sitting by the campfire, surrounded by family and friends. The cottage was exceptionally clean and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts also provided very clear instructions regarding entry and usage, making our arrival smooth and stress-free.

Weekend friends get away

Very well set up. next to the beach. Clear instructions put up all round. Plenty of options for seats, clean, well stocked. Lovely and quiet, beautiful views and just chill. We had a lot of fun, and managed to relax from the hustle and bustle of Toronto.

Was there for a weekend with my dogs and a friend. Was great. Nobody around. Not even a bear. (Told my friend and dogs we might see one) Nothing. Very private. Pictures at night and day time

What a lovely cottage. And great location. A convenient destination near all the attractions of Tobermory. The only point of contention is the uncomfortable beds. My husband chose the Upper bunk bed not made for a grown-up because the main bed was not comfortable. We did appreciate the well equipped cottage and beautiful lske side location. So peaceful.
