This bright and spacious beach house is located on a private landscaped lot nearly an acre in size. Large deck and well-lit stone patio for evening cocktails. The house is on a paved street that is a short stroll to The Boulevard which offers tranquil views of Sengekontacket Pond, beautiful sunsets and water access for paddle boarding and canoeing. The Felix Neck preserve is also a short walk away and accessible through a neighborhood path. It is a quick ride to Edgartown or to beautiful State Beach – both are just a mile and a half away. The large open floor plan features vaulted ceilings in the sunlit family room. The dining room opens to a spacious rear deck running the length of the house. The deck is huge – perfect for hosting a family gathering. Bedrooms include the main floor master bedroom with a private bathroom and two spacious bedrooms on the second floor with a roomy bathroom. A finished walk-out basement provides extra recreation space featuring a foosball table and a second TV. Plenty of water pressure in the outdoor shower for a relaxing rinse after a day at the beach. This house also provides air conditioning for warm days and a gas stove fireplace for chilly nights. The house is well-maintained and updated and is loved by the owners who want guests to feel at home during their stay.

We loved this house! It has the most incredible deck, yard, and outdoor shower. Nice quiet neighborhood. The house is well stocked and had everything we needed. It also has so much beautiful artwork, such a nice bonus!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. The owners were very responsive and awesome to work with. The house was so clean, incredibly spacious, and had everything you could possibly need and more. Check in was a breeze. We enjoyed our time having meals on the gorgeous deck. The kids enjoyed playing outside. The bus stop is at the top of the street. Home is conveniently located close to the main streets in Edgartown as well as to VH & OB. Cannot say enough about how much we loved staying here and look forward to future stays!

You won't want to leave

We have rented many homes in the past but this by far was our favorite. The property is amazing. The house is beautifully renovated and has all the amenities you need. The wrap around deck was my favorite. Great to sit on in the morning or after a long day of touring. The basement was a great bonus. My kids loved playing the foosball table. There are outdoor games as well which was great for my kids to spend time together away from their phones. Everything was very clean and organized. I am a realtor and and a professional organizer which makes it hard to find the right rental. The owners were very responsive with any questions I had. We really enjoyed staying in this lovely home. One week just wasn't enough!

Island Oasis

I cannot say enough positive things about our 2-week stay at this incredible home. From the moment we pulled up and were struck by the large yard and exquisite landscaping, we knew we had found a gem. The house is quite large, very sunny and beautifully decorated. I love the contemporary design and big windows. The deck and patio furniture is wonderful. The outdoor shower has a little changing room next to it - an amazing detail that we appreciated. I loved the layout of the home - and did I mention how clean it was?? SPOTLESS. The location was perfect - about a 10 minute drive to downtown Edgartown depending on traffic...also, at the end of the little road is the Felix Neck Sanctuary - you can actually access the trails from the end road - also the Jaws pond is right at the end of the street. If we were coming back to MV, we would snap this place up in a nanosecond...we look forward to returning one day. You will not be disappointed. The nicest rental we have had so far - and we've rented many places on VRBO. (We have 3 little kids - there was plenty of space for everone...beach toys, chairs and an umbrella in the basement plus a foosball table and lots of games)

Exactly what we were looking for

This property is in a super convenient location on the island. It was very clean, the lot is big and landscaping is immaculate. The deck is huge and great for hanging and cooking out. Very responsive owners, we would love to stay here again!

Family Beach Trip - OSV / Edgartown

This house is amazing. Fully setup for family adventure and beach week. The house was spacious, open, and clean. The property and grounds were very well kept. Our two boys (1 yr and 4yr old) got to bond with family and loved the huge deck for the firepit and outdoor games. Just down the road from Edgartown we were in reach to all the conveniences of the east end of MV. My inlaws had plenty of space to relax and really take in the natural beauty of the area. Perhaps the best feature of the house is the outdoor space, and the fact that everything is ready to go. All gear (Bikes, SUPs, games and beach stuff) was in good shape. We packed everything in the jeep and went off-roading just down the road in Katama. South Beach. Brilliant House, great location, couldn't ask for anything more. We would like to comeback ASAP.

Beautiful house with great access to Edgartown

This house is very well situated, close to Edgartown, with easy access to very nice nature trails and water views. The house has all the conveniences any traveller would need, and is very comfortable and well designed. It is also very modern, beautifully maintained, and has wonderful spaces for enjoying the outdoors (very nice and spacious and well- appointed balcony), lovely rooms throughout ( with lots of light and space) and a very nice kitchen and dining room. We were all very favourably impressed and our stay here helped make our days on Martha’s Vineyard a fantastic experience. The house owners were very thoughtful in both the “big things” that matter and many of the details that make a visit first- rate. Highly recommended

Great stay

We had a lovely stay at this property July 2019. The house was clean, stocked and well laid out. It has a large deck and outdoor shower which we used when returning from the beach. We used the bikes on several occasions to cruise into Edgartown and the beach. The owners were very attentive, & responsive. I can't really think of anything this rental was lacking, and can highly recommend.

Beautiful Home!

This home was perfect for a week long stay on Martha's Vineyard and you literally just need to pack your clothes and personal items! The owners were VERY accommodating on all of my questions and many inquires I had prior to going and responded within a few hours. The house was very clean, neat and organized upon arrival and had everything we needed as far as an incredibly large deck we spent a majority of our time BBQing and enjoying breakfast while making local friends with the chickens in the area. We used the awesome outside shower daily, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels all week long and even finished the MV puzzle we found downstairs. The only opportunity I saw for an improvement is obtaining new queen size mattresses or a down feather mat of sorts as they were very firm, but we are high maintenance sleepers. It was a magical week at the house relaxing, making memories and exploring all of the towns and highly recommend this home to others, thank you Dave and Leigh, you're the best!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this lovely home. Our kids love it as much as we do. Very well equipped and maintained in all facets. You can clearly see the owners care about their property. The deck outside is the best part and seems to get better each year. Hoping to enjoy many more vacations at this home in the future!!!

dream vacation

We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed our stay. We settled in quite readily as everything we needed was here and our kids remarked how beautiful it was indoors and outside the home. The beds were quite cozy and having the bikes and beach gear was perfect. able to bike to both state beach and south beach, as well as the alpaca farm nearby. The house is also centrally located, just a short drive away from Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluff where we brought food back to eat on the backyard patio. Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home. We really had a dream vacation and hope to come back to visit again one day!

Great Family Vacation Home

We will be staying at this home for the 3rd consecutive summer this year. The location is perfect for short drives to both kid-friendly beaches and downtown Edgartown. The large deck cannot be beat for entertaining and makes an already very comfortable stay even more so. The owners are great and extremely responsive to any concerns. We are very much looking forward to our 2017 visit and would highly recommend this home for a family vacation.

Wonderful stay

We loved our one week stay at this wonderful house in Edgartown. It's great for families. We had our son, daughter in law and 2 year old with us and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is spacious as well as the dining room, living room and outside wrap around porch. (There is more room downstairs which could come in handy if it rained and we were stuck indoors.) We loved the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. The house has nice natural lighting and an open feel. It's clean and well maintained. The location is great. There's a bike path and bus stop at the end of the road. It's less than 2 miles to a Stop and Shop, gourmet meat and seafood market and some restaurants. It's close to beaches and Edgartown center. We would gladly go back there again!

After 6 years of renting on Marthas Vineyard this Washington DC family prurchased this home in 2015. Edgartown has become our "home away from home". As renters we stayed in a different house in different parts of Edgartown each year. We've now used all of our experience as renters to create a home we hope provides the most memorable vacation possible for our renters.

Why they chose this property

After years of renting different types of homes ourselves we decided that the most important criteria to us was that the home be spacious and bright, comfortable and well maintained. As recent buyers of this property we made immediate upgrades before the 2015 rental season and will continue to make upgrades each year. It is important to us that our renters feel as "at home " in this property as we do.

What makes this property unique

Over the years we've rented many different types of home from contemporary beach house to cottage to century old captains houses. When it came time to purchase a home ourselves, we decided that a modern layout with a bright open concept floorplan created the best vacation experience for renters. This house is great for entertaining and the exceptionally large deck provides terrific overflow space. The large, landscaped lot also provides a great deal of privacy. This property is located a short distance form the bike path that leads to town. For this reason 5 bikes are provided for use by renters
