Enjoy a relaxing feel of this Miniature Horse Farm, a rare find in the city! Located conveniently to shopping,dining and entertainment. Relax on our farm overlooking the view of horse's grazing,small orchards, tennis court and mini vineyard. The space feels private and cozy. Decor is Cottage Chic with a modern twist. A large kitchen space with a large area, big screen TV with ability to log into Netflix and other accounts. Also have DVD's for adults and children, puzzles & games.

Girls getaway

My friend and I had the perfect stay! Sonya was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the get go. I loved the peacefulness and the animals were an added touch. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful!

My sisters and I loved this VERY cozy and comfortable cottage. Everything we needed was conveniently there. Living space was perfect for all five of us. Sonja & Andre were so welcoming and lovely to talk to as well. Their ponies & goats provided nice entertainment for our outdoor sitting.

Very cozy cottage

We enjoyed our stay and time in Roanoke. Sonya is a great host and was very responsive to the couple things we asked her about. She showed us around at check-in for safety items, locations of anything we might need, etc. She recommended eating at Montano's, and it was a great meal! The goats and miniature horses are very cute. We used the hot-tub. It's very nice, but it's at the main house where the hosts live, so they asked us to let them know when we wanted to use it. Not a problem to do that, just stating the process.

Visiting a Slice of Paradise

Sonya, and Andre are very accommodating hosts. Kids loved the goats, and miniature horses. Beautifully kept property, and very close to activities, and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Slice of heaven in Roanoke

We had such a fabulous time staying at Sonya’s and Andre’s place! We were looking for a relaxing place to unwind and we found it. It felt like we were away, but we were close to everything. It was an easy trip into downtown and to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We especially enjoyed visiting with the animals each day and picking grapes and pears to snack on! They thought of everything - from a greeting including fresh bread and fig preserves to flashlights on all nightstands. The personal touches made such a difference! Sonya and Andre are as available as their guests would like. I would recommend chatting with them as they are both extremely personable, but if you prefer not to interact, I feel certain they honor that. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Roanoke. We may make another trip just to stay at their place again!

Fantastic weekend!!

What a great girl’s weekend! Andre and Sonya are amazing hosts. The cottage was adorable, just as advertised, and well equipped. We enjoyed our daily chats with Andre and Sonya. They were so informative about the area and offered suggestions for food/activities. It was nice to be able to visit with the goats, and Sonya’s goat’s milk soap is a must have. We will definitely be back again!!

Wow! A wonderful retreat, super close to town

Having traveled extensively, our family has experienced many accommodations and situations the world over, and this honestly might just take the cake! So many stays these days are not hosted, and it is super special to be welcomed by real humans. Sonya and André are incredibly gracious hosts and made our visit cozy and fun. The steaming hot, freshly-baked bread and the fresh, homemade preserves for it were such a kind touch. They are a lovely family, the farm is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and the cottage is exceptionally well designed and outfitted. The animals who live there on the farm make it feel calm and welcoming, and this is a great place to actually spend time rather than just pop in to sleep at night. Speaking of sleep, the beds are very comfortable and restful. Our family was comfortable and wanted to stay longer. We are already scheming our next visit there! :)

G E M Wonderful property inside and out

Very tranquil - tuck away just enough. Our host greeted us even we arrived quit late at 9PM. We were received with homemade bread and jam. The building property inside, plenty of room for the 4 of us. Separate from the main house. Inside is perfectly air conditioned. The side porch is a great place for morning and evening chill time. Outside, taking walks or runs are ideal. Interaction with ponies, goats and chickens of course are optional. If you are concern about farm smell, don't be. The animals are very clean and the property is extremely well managed. Lots of charm - let you experience this G E M on your own :D I would come back, CERTAINLY.

Lovely farm stay feels like home

Sonyas place was just lovely; clean, well-cared for, filled with beautiful things. The grounds of their estate are manicured enough for your bare feet, and the animals are so sweet and friendly. Highly recommend this stay.

Wonderful Experience & Great Hospitality

We all really enjoyed our stay! This was our first experience with a vrbo and it was simply the best. From the homemade bread, homemade jam, and soaps made from their goats milk, we were just totally blown away. We were also taken back by the kindness that was extended to our small grandchildren with respect to feeding the miniature ponies and the goats; those smiles were priceless. The cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more. Thank you so much for your hospitality....hoping we get the opportunity to stay again in the future.

Perfect for a getaway!!

This was the perfect site for our sisters getaway- 4 40-something year old sisters had a blast relaxing, enjoying the baby goats, and Sonia and Andre themselves were a pleasure to interact with! They have thought of everything you might need so that when you arrive, you can truly relax. Everything was safe, clean and well provided. Would highly recommend!

Loved It Here!!

My friends and I had the BEST time here! We have already decided we will meet back up here in the future. There is so much to do that we figured we wouldn't even have to leave the property if we didn't want to. We actually ended up forgetting about all the outside games they had there, and we just sat around talking for hours. We also got to pet the mini horses, play with the goats, etc. We had such a fabulous time. Next time we are definitely staying longer as this trip was too short. I'm rather picky when it comes to places, but everything was clean and welcoming for us. Sonya and her husband were fabulous and I loved that they lived right on the property. Sonya baked us bread and they gave us some honey from their beehives. Such wonderful hosts. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful ladies getaway

We had a fun and relaxing antiquing and shopping getaway weekend at this lovely cottage! The cottage was perfect for our group, very clean and cozy. The goats and horses were so much fun to see every morning. Very hospitable hosts!

Awesome!

What a wonderful property and unusual experience! This is a small, working farm that has miniature horses, goats, chickens, grape vines, fig trees, and more. The house is charming, very clean, and easily fit our family of 5 (including a 3 year old). The hosts, Sonya and Andre are very nice, helpful and great communicators. Sonya made sure we had everything we needed, which included a welcome gift of freshly baked bread and honey from their own bees. Andre took our 3 year old for a ride on the John Deere Gator! When we return to this area this is where we will stay!

Comfy cottage getaway

This cottage is an absolute gem! It was very peaceful and the kids loved waking up to miniature horses, goats and chickens nearby. The cottage has everything you need for your stay and will feel like a home away from home. Sonya and Andre were gracious hosts that made this trip extra special, even welcoming us with warm, homemade bread and honey! We will definitely visit again and would recommend this lovely cottage to anyone who needs a a quiet and relaxing break!

Perfect girls getaway (or family vacation spot)!

We had a wonderful time at the property! Sonya was an excellent hostess. We were a group of 5 women staying for a long weekend girls getaway. We all had plenty of room to spread out, comfy beds with nice linens and towels. Sonya even provided big towels for the hot tub! The miniature ponies were SO STINKING CUTE and there were 3 day old baby goats to pet. There's a lovely view of the mountains when you walk around the property, as well. Seriously, Sonya is the best VRBO owner/host I've had the pleasure to deal with! Excellent communication, and she even baked us bread. :) My only teeny, tiny quibble is that I didn't realize the hot tub wasn't right by the rental, but rather up by the main house, it's like a 30 second walk up a paved path to get there. I may not have read the listing well enough to realize that. Of course when we said we wanted to use the hot tub, Sonya went and got it all ready with the lights even in the rain (I told you she was a great hostess). I plan to come back with my husband and two young sons so they can enjoy the animals on the property and all the fun stuff to do in Roanoke!

Weekend getaway for 4 girlfriends

The property is beautiful, and the house is very well kept and very clean. Sonya and Andre were friendly, communicative, helpful and accessible. Comfy beds. We loved sitting outside and enjoying he fire pit at night. Wonderful stay. Thank you!

Country cottage, horses, goats, quiet, convenient!

Beautiful, spacious cottage, comfortable beds, all the comforts of home. Our hosts were attentive and responsive and absolutely delightful to work with. Wish we were staying longer. The horses, goats and chickens were were friendly and welcoming hosts as well.

Fantastic boutique farm stay

Had a wonderful stay at Bent Tree Farm. The cottage was impeccably clean and had everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The mini horses and goats were so enjoyable to watch and definitely created a serene environment. The hosts were accommodating, communicative and so very kind! Will definitely stay at this awesome property again when i am in the area
