Drift Away es un alquiler de vacaciones que se encuentra al borde de la costa y cuenta con vistas icónicas del océano. Justo afuera de su puerta hay aguas turquesas poco profundas, ideales para nadar, remar, navegar en kayak o explorar, y a solo 1 milla de distancia se encuentra la prístina playa de arena blanca que se extiende por toda la costa norte de Spanish Wells.
Drift Away tiene 2 dormitorios / baños en suite, ambos con impresionantes vistas al mar. El dormitorio de invitados de arriba también se abre a su propia terraza privada. La cabaña tiene una sala de estar y cocina abierta con techos altos y agradables y se abre a un porche cubierto, ideal para disfrutar de cócteles por la noche o una relajante taza de café por la mañana. El salón tiene un sofá cama queen que también puede alojar a 2 personas.
Drift Away tiene un gran patio bien cuidado con mucho espacio para que los niños corran y jueguen y también un mirador que se encuentra justo sobre el agua; ideal para relajarse mientras vigila a los niños o para una barbacoa con la familia. También se incluyen 2 kayaks para explorar la costa o las áreas circundantes, ¡y una ducha al aire libre!

I loved reading all the details in the previous reviews, so I’m going to do my best to share lots of details about our recent stay at Drift Away so that others can enjoy dreaming about this place as much as I did! And, yes… Drift Away is an absolute dream! Let’s start with the property manager, Becky Sands. She was so lovely to meet and went out of her way to help us get to the cottage after our flights were delayed and we were late arriving to Spanish Wells after a long day of travelling. It was so reassuring to be able to communicate with her when we were feeling inexperienced at getting to this island and it was dark out because we were so late and we were feeling quite worn out. She was so kind and helpful during the whole process and she made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Thank you so much, Becky!I would then like to draw attention to the people who maintain the property. This place is immaculate! When we arrived, the place was spotless… I mean, there weren’t even grains of sand on the decking, there wasn’t a spot of dust anywhere, and all the linens (including the white couch cover!) appeared to be brand new. The exterior of the cottage, along with the decking (which has been improved since the photos in the listing), has all just recently been freshly painted and everything seemed new.

On a calm day, you can enjoy floating into the bay and walking back again.

We had an amazing time staying at Drift Away! The listing was very accurate and the pictures of this place do not do it justice! We kayaked up and don russell island and Spanish Wells. I think Drift away is the best spot on the entire island! The beds are very comfortable a the view is spectacular! We are already looking to book our next trip to this exact spot!

Great property. Very clean, convenient access to the water, with all the appropriate amenities to make for a great stay. Lucky to be there when the ripe avocados were falling off the tree as well as sour oranges.. spanish-Wells never disappoints and you won’t go wrong with this house

Awesome rental! Clean, cold AC, although we didn’t need it in the living/kitchen area. The ocean breeze was awesome! Great location a little away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful view. This was our second time at drift away.

The house was exactly as pictured. It was peaceful and secluded but also a quick golf cart ride away from town. Becky made the check in a breeze by reserving our transportation from the airport to the ferry and having our golf cart waiting at the dock. The kitchen has everything that you would need and then some. We will definitely be back soon!!

Heaven on earth! Our favorite place in Spanish Wells.It’s so comfortable. The location cannot be beat. Drinking morning coffee on the deck and watching stingrays and turtles and tons of beautiful fish swim by.Love kayaking to the bridge and the swings. The beds are comfy and plenty of towels, beach towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen is well equipped and plenty of space. Family room couches and chairs are comfy. Most amazing house!

Perfect Spanish Wells getaway for small family

It was the first time on Spanish Wells for our family and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. If you are looking for solitude and tranquility, this is the place. The home was clean and well-maintained. Kitchen was stocked well enough, we didn’t need anything. Bathrooms were very clean. Everything was a five minute ride by buggie. Becky was responsive and attentive. Would definitely recommend to others and would also stay again ourselves. Thank you!

Breathtaking! Peaceful! Rebecca is the best host! Everything was a 10. House is fully stocked- thinking of everything. Outside- the private cay was so nice and easy to get into water. I would highly recommend Drift Away! Rebecca will arrange everything for you from ferry, golf carts, lists of restaurants and excursions!

For the 4th time we stayed at driftaway - our little peace of heaven. It‘s the most perfect place to relax and my husband‘s favorite place on earth. We can‘t wait to come back again next summer. Thanks to Becky and Sarah - you guys are wonderful!

Amazing property

My husband and I just returned from this amazing property. If you have been to this island that you know it is pretty laid back. This property is so beautiful and we laid out all day everyday on that back deck. Although there are neighbors it is very quiet. The home is well stocked for cooking (not that we did it often) and also has some floats in addition to the Kayaks. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

30 year anniversary trip

Driftaway was all the pictures show and more! Waking up to that view every morning is a DREAM! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need! We used the kayaks in the morning and watched the sunsets at night! It is the nicest house and island you can go to and feel like you are off the grid, but you aren’t! We had dinner at Wrecker’s almost every night! Rented a boat for the week not far from the house and saw starfish, stingrays, sharks and dolphins! It was a perfect place to celebrate!

Well appointed, Beautiful View

Drift away is a perfect sized home for 2 couples or a small family. The house has everything you need and has fun, clean artsy feel to it. Covered back porch and a covered area at the water. Also a tucked in area perfect for reading or napping. Unobstructed view of the water and a great area to kayak or float down a couple steps to the ocean. This is our 2nd year in a row; I expect we’ll be back in ‘26. Laid back, quiet, perfect!

A dream!

If you’ve found this spot, you should book it with no hesitation. You will have private waterfront access, on a property and in a home that is meticulously maintained and contains all the amenities you could need. There is a list provided of many of the food, groceries, water jug refills, activities, etc on the island - with contact info, hours, etc - as well as menus for many of the popular spots to eat. On top of this, lots of info about the house itself is written and provided. Amongst all of this are business cards for local charters and activities as well. It was nice to have a full-sized washer and dryer for clothes. It was also nice to have air conditioning for sleeping - but it wasn’t necessary during the day, as we simply opened all of the windows to cool down the big, airy living space. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, bakeware, and appliances, plus some spices, oils, and condiments. Beach and water gear is provided (rafts and chairs), though we only found a single beach chair.Kayaks are provided as well, and there is a helpful kayak ramp along the rocks to help you get the kayaks down from the house to the water without damaging the boats. There are child and adult life vests as well. There are some books, a pair of binoculars, and smart TVs (which we used to stream some music while we ate some dinners at the house). The wifi works well.A dream of a stay.

hammock on the beach

we loved our stay on Spanish Wells / Russell Island and the ease that comes with driving around on a golf cart was so fun for the kids. The best part about the house is the multiple spaces on the water - hammock / sun deck / covered porch and enjoying the ocean right out your steps. Highly recommend

Dreaming of Drift Away

As you pull into the property- you are greeted by a beautifully painted driftwood sign with Driftaway - that takes your eyes down the impeccably landscaped property - and landing on the magnificent bougainvillea that surround the front entrance of the cottage. Your eyes travel immediately from the front entrance- through the windows of the back of the house -permeated with the many shades of emerald and turquoise of the ocean. The pictures online do not do this property justice- as if possible- is more beautiful than we could have imagined. Every detail thought of, everything looks brand new. From the beautifully appointed furnishings, to the pristine and healing colors of paint on the walls. The kitchen - held every utensil and fully stocked with all the essentials needed. The outside area- could not be more surreal, comfortable, and picturesque. Lounge chairs situated in the perfect spot- surrounded by tropical shrubs, allowing for a feeling of privacy and complete tranquility. Beach towels galore- Not to mention- Kayaks and an incredibly crafted kayak ramp to make even that effortless. A hammock for an afternoon nap, or to star gaze at night. The owners- a dream team of craft and design to make this a dream come true. Thank you for sharing this dream house with us all.
