About this property

Pet Friendly and Peaceful!

The retreat is close to nature with birds and deer all around the cabin. There are quiet country roads to walk your dog up the mountain or down to the river. No worries if it rains, the front porch is covered and overlooks the trees.

The primary bedroom has a king bed and has access to the bathroom and the back deck. The second bedroom has a twin bed and a desk in case you need to work while you are away.

Remember those nights of campfires and smores.... yes, the fire pit allows you to enjoy those memories again. Easy access off of the front porch.

The side porch has a fountain during warmer months for relaxing with your family and friends or to sit and read that book you've been meaning to enjoy. It also has seating and a small table. A gas grill and charcoal grill are provided so you can choose how you would like the hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks to cook on.

This peaceful mountain retreat is waiting for you and is only 10 minutes from the grocery stores, restaurants and downtown. There is even a doggie daycare and grooming for your dog to enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin has all the amenities one could want. Our Host Karen was terrific and responded promptly to any questions. We cut a Christmas tree and stayed an extra day to enjoy the 3 inches of snow we received, what a bonus. We look forward to our next stay!

We loved staying in peaceful paradise! The cabin is close to West Jefferson . It's such a quiet place to unwind . This is our second time visiting . Everything is clean and comfortable Could not ask for anything better!

This is the most charming cabin, very clean and had everything we needed with some special goodies waiting for us and our golden doodle. Enjoyed sitting on the fenced patio which was excellent for our pup! Deer visited a few times each day. Highly recommend this cabin and plan to revisit in near future.

Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable cabin, we loved the location and were very impressed with how clean the cabin was. The bed is very comfortable which is a must. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Owner thought about everything you would need even down to a welcome basket. We loved the bed sheets! The cabin was very clean. Saw many deer in the yard and across the road. The cabin name is perfect…Peaceful Paradise!

Amazing cabin and Experience

My wife and I love this secret get away. Karen is amazing and responds to any question very quick. Great area to get your steps and and only a quick drive to downtown West Jefferson. We prefer this cabin over any other in the area!

Calming even in the storm.

The cabin was a perfect getaway for us to unplug from technology and connect with nature. We saw deer, wild turkey, hummingbirds, even a big harmless snake, during our short walk to the river. That is where our puppy was able to experience the water for the first time, he thought we was swimming. The last night it stormed but it was so enjoyable with the metal roof and awesome covered porch. We definitely plan for an annual visit.

Wonderful cabin

Just lovely. Looks brand new. Every convenience inc. spotless. Peaceful setting with walks along the river. Our Golden Retriever and myself found a little piece of heaven. Cannot say enough of how we enjoyed our 5 days. . We will be back.. Close to West Jefferson and Boone. Yet off the beaten track.

Wow! Peaceful Paradise alive up to its Name

We stayed for one week and each night was a different, cozy experience! The fire pit, the short trips to shops in downtown, the cozy nights and morning making our meals with a well equipped kitchen…all so perfect! Porch time, outside eating with twinkle lights in the evening and fresh wild flowers in the morning! Karen…at the ready for any and all questions! Very clean, comfortable and inviting! We loved every minute at Peaceful Paradise! And so did our dogs!! Especially when we took them to Elk Shoals river beach!!

Wonderful Getaway

The cabin was beautiful! The pictures were very accurate; the cabin was very clean, warm, welcoming, and had all the items one might need. I found the check-in out process simple and cleaning instructions reasonable. The location itself was very convenient for our needs, quiet peace surrounding the cabin and only a 10-15 minute ride into West Jefferson. Any communication was responded timely by the hosts, one can tell they truly care for their guests and home. Thank you again! Would definitely stay again:)

WOW! THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!

Great location to Boone,West Jefferson or Todd. Very clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. Well stocked bathroom also. Plenty of towels,toilet paper and toothbrushs and toothpaste if you forget yours. They even had supplies for our dogs! Water and food bowls. Very quiet and friendly neighbors. We will be back!
