Welcome to Hazel Mae's Hideaway (formerly called Sweet Pea's Dream), a charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom beach cottage nestled in the scenic surroundings of West Beach, Gulf Shores. Just a short stroll from the public beach access, this picturesque retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for your seaside getaway. The cottage features large windows that flood the space with natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere throughout. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening relaxation on the inviting front porch or unwind on the spacious back patio after a day of sun and sand. Guests will love the wine/coffee bar, perfect for whipping up a drink no matter what time it is!

Hazel Mae's Hideaway is thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to two pets, each weighing up to 50 pounds, making it an ideal choice for pet lovers. The property includes covered parking under the house and additional driveway space, comfortably accommodating up to four cars. Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat or an adventure-filled vacation, Hazel Mae's Hideaway provides the perfect home base, combining modern amenities with the charm of a classic beach cottage.

Area Attraction:

Gulf Shores is renowned for its beautiful beaches, where travelers can soak up the sun, swim in the Gulf waters, or partake in thrilling water sports such as parasailing and jet skiing. You can enjoy live entertainment, good food, and relax around the fire pit at The Hangout, a popular spot in Gulf Shores. Families will find plenty of fun at attractions like the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, home to a diverse array of animals, and the Waterville USA amusement park with its water slides and amusement rides. West Beach, Gulf Shores, features a host of local-favorite restaurants such as Lauria's Italian Beach Bar, The Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails, and Surfside Pizza. History buffs can explore the well-preserved Fort Morgan State Historic Site. Perdido Key and Orange Beach are just a short drive away for more fun!

House was very clean with comfotable beds, linen, and pillows. We brought our two dogs and they were no problem. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Great location only 10 mins from tourist attractions. A vacation spot!

3rd Time Was A Charm

We love staying at HazelMae’s Hideaway and our family tries to book here every time we come to Gulf Shores. The location is great, a quick walk to the beach and lovely sunsets over the boardwalk. Always clean and welcoming!

Great little beach house

Great location close to the beach and lagoon, very clean, cold AC, and above average cookware! The furniture and appliances are outdated and the TVs are small but other than I would recommend staying at this beach house.

Wonderful Beach House

We loved this beautiful beach house. It was immaculate and provided everything we needed for our stay from a well-equipped kitchen to a folding beach cart to haul our belongings to the beach. We will definitely book this house again!

Great for winter escape.

We enjoyed this cute home which had well appointed decor on the interior. The front and back porches were great if seeking sun with a breeze or shade for reading. There were wonderful book choices. The location was very convenient to the beach and a nice neighborhood for walking.

Great stay at Sweet Pea’s Dream

We loved our stay at Sweet Pea’s dream! This was our first visit to Gulf Shores and it was great. Loved the beach, the waves, saw some dolphins ... And loved this cute and colorful beach house. All very clean and had everything we needed for our family of four. Just a short walk to the beach.

Enjoyed our stay

Sweet Pea's Dream was great. House was very clean as advertised. A couple of the burners on the stove were not working but this did not take away from our experience. It is a little far from Orange Beach but doable. Overall was a get place to stay and would do it again if have the chance.

We had a great time at Sweet Peas dream. It was clean, neat and ready for us when we arrived. No hassel to get in, no key as it was a code to enter, no lost keys etc. Off the main road and no traffic noise. Neighbors were nice and friendly. Had a great stay...

Great house

This was a great house for my son and his dog we lost my wife and his mom June 10 th and we needed a quiet getaway for a weekend to just relax and enjoy each other thanks for making that happen we will rent this property again
