Old Glam with lots of fun!

  • 5 of 5

Back in the day this house had the top of the line everything! While the interior is very retro it is comfortable and was very accommodating to our group of 10! The full kitchen downstairs was great! Now to the best part, the outside! When you walk in the house and see the view of the lake it is breathtaking! The view is then upped by the enjoyment of the upper deck, porch, and basketball court, and lakeside dock. Having the neighborhood Mari is with boat ramp right next door and the boat lift we spent about 35 hours on the lake! The homeowners are very fast to provide answers to any questions and have a network of locals that can show you around or help with anything! The BEST family vacation ever!

This property is amazing. It was exactly what we were looking for for our annual 4th of July.

There were 6 of us - all family + dogs. We were in love with this property from the get go. It has amazing river accessibility, fantastic large covered dock, beautiful grounds - everything you could want.

We fished, canoed, ate, explored the area, swam, rafted, and dreamed of having a place like this of our own. We watched a pair of bluebirds feeding their babies in the "duplex" bird house. So beautiful!

The fireworks on the 4th, at the surrounding homes, were fabulous. We watched from the bench and patio area close to the dock. The fireworks went on and on! Perhaps a competition between neighbors.

Speaking of neighbors, they were the best. Upon arrival we were greeted by Scott. He offered us anything we might need. We noticed a shortage of trash bags and he promptly brought us some. Other neighbors rescued our float that drifted to their dock after a windy late afternoon storm. My son-in-law capsized his canoe while fishing, and they rushed out to see if he needed help. He was fine, just a little embarrassed.

We roasted marshmallows for s'mores in the portable fire pit. I don't have to tell you how good that was accompanied by fireside chat and family stories.

Loved that each couple had their own bedrooms and full baths. Enjoyed a little basketball (too hot to play that for long), and had great family fun with ping pong "tournaments" at night.

The owner was quick to answer all questions and problem solve. Would recommend this property to anyone for a wonderful family get away.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful lakehome with us Cort. The only bad thing was realizing our time was up and it was time to head home.

Beautiful views, full lake access, very private

  • 4 of 5

Interior is dated, but obviously in its day this home was top of the line. Tons of space, huge fireplaces on both levels, full kitchen both levels, 4 bathrooms. Very well stocked with towels, pillows, extra bedding, dishes. The lake front view and access is the winner - large covered private dock with slips for boat or jet ski and lifts for both. Several hundred feet of open bank to fish. Everyone caught fish. Covered parking in front for upper level and paved driveway to back and lower level. Exterior has complete full lighting. Basketball court and ping pong table. TV had limited channels so bring DVD's. We didn't watch much TV we stayed outside and on the water or fishing. Evening sunset views were amazing off the deck. Good communication with owner. Answered questions quickly. 15 minutes from Lenoir City and anything you may need. We only left one time - you always forget to pack something. We had a wonderful time all week.

Awesome lake home! Total enjoyment!

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent one week of bliss in this wonderful home! Outside, there's so much room to breathe and waterfront to enjoy, we truly felt like we had our own private park! Inside, there was so much space, we felt guilty that we didn't even spend time in a few of the more beautiful rooms. Two bathrooms for the master bedroom spoiled us for our return home! River Sports Outfitters delivered our rental kayak and SUP so we owned the refreshing water. Fishing was fantastic and the ping pong matches in the game room were epic! The dock and boathouse are huge -- we spent most of our days there in total relaxation. The spacious porch provided wonderful lake views and a great place to read and relax. We have never rented a house with our own basketball court before! The home is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood of nice homes, which enabled us to go running and take walks with our dogs. Everything you'd need/want (restaurants, shopping, gas, etc.) is in nearby Maryville (10-15 minutes) and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a short drive away (30-40 minutes). Our outstanding experience was matched by our dealings with the owners -- they were first-class, attentive, true to their word, and genuinely caring. We never stayed here before (or knew anyone who did), and we don't know the owners personally, and we were not familiar with the area (we're from Florida), so, truthfully, I was a bit unsettled about what I was getting my family into... at least until we arrived, unpacked, and enjoyed our best family vacation ever! We plan to return next year!
