Comfortable 1200sf, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, renovated 1850 single located in old historic district in downtown Charleston in the active Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood. Private courtyard with off-street parking for two cars or one large truck. Walk out the door to the King Street design and restaurant district, the Visitor Center, the Farmers Market, and everything Charleston has to offer.

The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and antiques. It includes a fully equipped open kitchen, a living and dining room and a powder room downstairs, a master bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom upstairs. Also included is a washer/dryer, flat screen TV with cable, hi-speed internet, and a docking station. The outdoor area includes a table, chairs, gas grill and chiminea. Outdoor dining area limited if two vehicles parked off street.

Check out d'Alessandros Pizza, Barsa Tapas Bar, The Daily, Chez Nous, Brown's Court Bakery, Revolution Coffee, the Grocery, Lana, Lucca, The Ordinary, Indaco, Leon's, 492, The Darling Oyster, Little Jack's Tavern, Cannon Green, The Rarebit, Sugar Bake Shop, Wild Flour Bakery and The Macintosh... all within a few blocks. Shop the King Street stores or explore the Cannon/Elliotborough boutiques like Indigo & Cotton, Mac&Murray and Beads on Cannon. Day spas, salons and yoga studios are also located in close proximity.

Located convenient to College of Charleston, MUSC, Charleston School of Law, and The Citadel. 20 minute drive to beaches and 15 minutes to Charleston International Airport. Quick access to all major transportation routes.

Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows:

100% of rental fee and taxes if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the Check-in Date

50% of rental fee and taxes if cancelled 14-29 days prior to the Check-in Date

The entire deposit plus any balance of the rental fee (less cleaning fee and security deposit) will be forfeited if the cancellation is less than 14 days prior to the Check-in Date. Shortened stays will be considered a cancellation and subject to this cancellation policy.

We are long time Charleston lovers and love food, dining out and the city in general. We both moved here about 15 years ago and like so many others never left...

The house was very clean and in a great location. We were close to everything.

We loved it. It was a nice sitting on the porch in the morning. A quiet area. Would like to see the gate opening a little wider tho.

Great location, cute house!

Very sweet that there was a bottle of wine waiting for us on our arrival. Lots of great restaurants nearby and about a mile or so to downtown area with even more restaurants and shopping. Also, the owner gave great recommendations for my first night I was spending solo.

Really cute little house...perfect for girls weekend.

We loved this house and especially the porch. We walked practically everywhere during the day, and most evenings too. You MUST walk a lot just to be able to eat all the food around here! LOL. Thanks for a great stay...and your graciousness. So many of the details are taken care of and it's an easy vacation. As three moms, we SO appreciate that! Highlights are the two bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms always a plus with three people.

Absolutely Perfect!

We had a wonderful experience at our Southern Purple House! The color attracted us but it was everything we hoped for and more! My daughter lives 2 blocks away and we came for a quick weekend visit from MD. Accommodations were super, everything you could need and more! Even left a bottle of wine chillin' in the fridge for us! Highly recommend this home and owner Frank was available by text or phone if we needed anything or had questions!

perfect location

Great property for 4 sisters on an annual weekend trip. very easy to walk to bars, restaurants and shops. Quick 5 minute Uber ride everywhere else. Frank, the owner, was very helpful answering emails for restaurant suggestions. Had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Would absolutely stay here again.
