Hat Island (aka Gedney Island) is a small private island in the Puget Sound of WA. It lies between Whidbey & Camano Island & is ONLY accessible from a WALK-ON ferry located at the Everett marina. On the island is a 9-hole golf course, yacht club, and beaches for clamming, crabbing, fishing or beach combing.
Once you have arrived on the Island you will be greeted and driven to our cabin. The cabin itself is surrounded by breathtaking ocean and mountain views on every side with a very spacious and inviting living room, fully appointed kitchen, and master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The staircase leading to the large loft space is a hand carved masterpiece. Step outside and take in the stunning views while you grill your ocean bounty on our BBQ, or soak in the *seasonal* hot tub after a day of beachcombing, hiking, or golfing.
The island is very small and there are NO grocery stores or restaurants. We provide a fully appointed kitchen, but you'll need to bring your own goodies. PLEASE no seafood/shellfish in the refrigerator.
The ferry runs Thursday through Sunday at the Port of Everett and is located in front of the northwest corner of Anthony's Homeport restaurant. For more info about the ferry and parking go to
Parking: An area for loading/unloading for the ferry is provided in the vicinity of the northwest corner of Anthony’s. Proceed down the ramp, turn right and go to the end of the guest dock. Up to 72 hours of parking is free; park in any slot marked Visitor Parking.
If you'd like to stay longer or check in/out on a different day we can provide private transportation for a fee.
Guests are responsible for packing their trash out. Hat Island has a designated area for disposal of your trash. It is located in the fenced area on the NE most corner of the Everett Yacht Club Building. The area will remain locked and the ferry crew will open it upon arrival in Everett.
