A self-catering apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & king size sofa bed

'Aigua Blava' is a fantastic, contemporary and modern apartment, which has completed a full refurbishment. It is large (over 1200 sq ft), light, and has a wooden oak floor throughout. The kitchen is high specification with granite work surfaces and a central island for breakfast or drinks. The dining table is solid oak which can be extended to fit up to 12 people, with comfortable leather chairs. The huge living space has been beautifully designed with stunning furniture and soft furnishings. The front of the apartment has a wall to wall window with the most amazing sea views, from St Ives to Hayle Estuary and beyond to Godrevy Lighthouse. The 2 bathrooms, one an ensuite shower room with a large shower enclosure and the other a family bathroom with a bath and over head power shower, have been finished to a high quality. Aigua Blava provides parking for one vehicle, however, there is a train service through Carbis Bay to St Ives providing easy access into town.

Parking: There is one covered parking space available for use. Further cars may be parked on the roadside.

The kitchen is fitted to a high specification and has black granite work surfaces, breakfast bar island, integrated dishwasher, washing machine oven and hob. There is also a free-standing fridge/freezer and tumble dryer. The dining area has a large, extendable oak table with leather seats for up to 8 diners. The lounge is open plan and the full width window overlooks Carbis Bay. There is a wall-mounted 40' screen TV, DAB digital radio and Ipod docking station, a king sized sofa-bed and corner sofa, together with 2 swivel tub chairs in window. The 2 bedrooms are light, comfortable and contemporary and also have oak flooring throughout. Both bedrooms are fitted with wall mounted, flat-screened TVs. The apartment lends itself to being rented by couples or families alike as it has 2 bathrooms and the extra available sleeping area in the lounge

                                                              We found the property every bit as good as it appeared on the website! On arrival we were struck by its cleanliness and pleasantly surprised by the generous welcome hamper! The decor and colour schemes were lovely and all the furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and centrally located in the apartment, yet still took advantage of the gorgeous views towards St Ives. We enjoyed watching all that was taking place on Carbis Beach and up the coastline. The regular train between Hayle and St Ives brought a charm and a rhythm to our experience of life in the apartment.

                                                              There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure which made showers a pleasure! We appreciated all the available information regarding electrical appliances and the practicalities of staying there. However we could find no information about the washing machine. We were confused about gaining access to the apartment since the key box was actually located in a concealed cupboard between the front doors of number 23 and 25.

                                                              The WiFi worked well and mobile signals were strong. For those new to Cornwall, the number of channels on Freeview is extremely limited (clearly outside the scope of the property owners).

                                                              We found staying in Carbis Bay to be a great location for touring around Cornwall as it gave easy access to the A30. The local and regional information left in the apartment was very helpful to 'first-time-visitors' like us! Taking a holiday in the UK is always a risk weatherwise - we found this apartment to be a great place in which to stay even when the wind was driving the rain across Carbis Bay!

                                                              This is a lovely property, very tastefully decorated, furnished to a high standard and has everything to make it home from home (well almost). It is very clean and the welcome pack on arrival is excellent.

                                                              Carbis bay is absolutely beautiful and the apartment gives a privileged view over the bay to St Ives, you can sit for hours taking in the views and if you're lucky, as we were you may even see an inquisitive seal popping his head up through the waves or the RNLI practicing in the bay.

                                                              The apartment is an ideal place to tour west Cornwall, the Lizard point is stunning and a trip Porthleven is well worthwhile.

                                                              Our only observation is that the main TV in the lounge will only pick up a limited number of the freeview channels, despite numerous attempts to re-tune, it is probably due to poor signal in the area, for us sad people that enjoy a night in with a bottle of wine and a TV fest this was a little disappointing, especially in the digital age that we live in. A Sky package would make this apartment truly complete.

                                                              All in all a truly beautiful apartment that is a credit to the owners.

We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your TV entertainment and if you had contacted us during your stay, we would have advised that being in a block of apartments, we are unable to have satellite dishes. This is why we have provided a Smart TV giving access to all major catch-up and streaming services like Netflix. Therefore every major, popular, current TV or film would have been accessible. We are happy you enjoyed the rest of your stay and that you found Carbis Bay beautiful.

                                                              The views, the proximity of the beach, the space in the apartment and the communications with the landlady contributed to an absolutely brilliant Easter break.

                                                              Our children loved looking through the binoculars, or admiring the view. The house was well equipped, lovely interior & quality of towels, bedding etc. When a maintenance issue arose the landlady dealt with it promptly. Lovely welcome pack. I even got to swim with a seal in Carbis Bay!

                                                              This is a great apartment which is handsomely furnished and very well equipped. The stunning view is also amazing, and added considerably to our enjoyment of our stay. A pair of binoculars was provided and came in very useful for boat and bird-spotting. Location-wise this apartment also comes up trumps as it is only a short walk away from the beach, train station, coastal footpaths, a couple of cafes / restaurants, convenience store and play park. We really valued the convenience of being able to pop into St Ives either on foot or by train. Carbis Bay beach is a beautiful, family friendly beach. As well as splashing around and swimming the setting is also perfect for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. Equipment and lessons for these are available from a friendly company based on the beach.

                                                              Carbis Bay has a large, sheltered beach with perfect white sand (dogs are banned from 1st May to 30th Sept between 8am & 7pm). Patrolled by lifeguards during the summer, the calm sea and sheltered aspect ensures safe bathing - perfect for families and ideal for windsurfing and water-skiing and is an unbeatable base for discovering Cornwall. Take the scenic branch line to St Ives where you can wander through cobbled streets full of history, visit Tate St Ives (part of Tate Gallery, London) or sit by the harbour where boats still land good catches of the freshest fish for local, world class restaurants. Take a leisurely walk along the coastal footpath to Lelant or a more energetic hike to Zennor and Gunards Head. Visit National Trust houses and gardens, quaint fishing villages like Mousehole and places of beauty like The Lizard Point. Not forgetting the nearby Eden Project, Minack Theatre and Flambard's Village for the perfect family days out. Also visit the Isles of Scilly from Penzance
