Our family really enjoyed our week at this house. The newly remodeled bathroom is beautiful and the neighbors were great. The deck was a terrific time to spend together relaxing and recharging. I truly feel refreshed. The fishing was hindered because of all of the rain from the week before but we did manage to catch a few.
We had a wonderful stay... did run into a few issues with a/c but owners quickly responded and resolved. We enjoyed our stay and the fishing pier. Was the best!!!
We enjoyed our time at the Crab Trap. The pier was very nice. Our only complaint was waiting over a hour past our check-in time to get the entry code. Overall an enjoyable experience.
We had a great time at the home. The view of the bay from the deck & pier was great. The house was clean & well equipped; new kitchen & bathroom. There was another downstairs room that had a den & washer & dryer. The location is close to a lot of activities. The owners were very helpful with directions, etc.
The girls and I wanted to find a place where we could kick back and get away from our daily chaotic lives, and we found it right here! The peaceful setting of waking to the quiet atmosphere of a sunrise that breaks way to a gentle breeze coming off the ocean view as we set outside on a beautiful deck enjoying our coffee and company of friendly neighbors. There is no city noises that we have to experience in our daily lives back home. However, there is a quiet little town less than 15 minutes away, where one can find the old fashioned hospitality that is rarely found in the city. Palacious offers friendly people, little out of the way antique shops, family owned restaurants, and fresh, huge shrimp right off the boat! The home we stayed in provided everything we needed, except food! We found Nice fluffy pillows on comfortable beds, and a nice newly remodeled bathroom. The back of the home has windows all across where there is a rustic family room that provides a full view of the bay, where we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets!
The private pier provided the perfect opportunity to catch up on some long overdue fishing, & unexpected opportunity to watch a spool of dolphins come into the bay and play!
At the end of our weekend, when it came time to leave, we all decided that we will look forward to coming back, only next time it will be for a week!
My family and I grew up at Jensens Point and decided at the last minute to rent the crab trap to spread my Moms ashes in the water where she grew up. The owners worked with us on this last minute rental and were amazing and very sweet people. When we pulled up to the house we realized it was one of the homes where we spent many days with the couple that use to live there. The house was wonderful, felt just like home. The deck and pier were amazing, what a beautiful sunset. We even were lucky enough to catch some fish. I see some negative comments on here about chairs not being on the upstairs deck and old floors but these comments come from people that have never lived on the water apparently because if you have furniture upstairs the wind would blow them straight though the Windows and salt water plays havoc on your home. To my amazement this home has withstood many years on the water, the owners have put love into this home to keep it in such great shape. The house was very beautifully decorated, very clean, wonderfully peaceful just what we needed to bring our sweet mother back home. I will definitely be going back to this wonderful home away from home.
