About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This property presents a perfect headquarters for exploring Yellowstone National Park. Located just 16 miles from the north entrance to the park in Gardiner, MT the house is ideal for day tripping into the park and being back in time for a nice dinner on the back deck nestled among the mountains. We also offer pasture space if you are traveling with horses and we are pet friendly with advance notice.

Wildlife of all kinds are in abundance on this property and your privacy is protected by a gated, private road. A caretaker/guide is available to help you with every aspect of your stay. The accommodations are clean, comfortable and convenient. Fishing, rafting, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing are all around you. No need to travel great distances, you are right in the middle of all of it. Please remember that there are plenty of luxurious and high priced rentals throughout the valley, but this is not one of them. This property is specifically for those who plan to use the day light hours exploring and then having an affordable, clean and comfortable headquarters to come home to. Although we provide satellite TV, free long distance phone and internet connection, this is a very utilitarian and practical rental for those who do not desire expensive art and sensitive furnishings throughout. It is set up to be used in a way that allows for some carefree adventure…………..have fun, live a little and enjoy!

About The Owner

I live and work in Wilmington, Delaware and bought this dream property about 5 years ago. Although I don't get out nearly as much as I'd like, I take pleasure in knowing that others will get to experience the drama and excitement of spending time in this glorious valley.

Great jumping off place for all around Paradise Valley and Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

Steve, the owner was very informative and helpful and allowed our dogs to come with us for our trip. So quiet and peaceful there. Was a little stressful in Yellowstone but the house was great to come back to and the dogs loved the huge yard to play ball in. Scenery is just beautiful everywhere. Some places even nicer than Yellowstone. Much to do outside Yellowstone. My husband loved the hammock and spent a bit of time in it. Brilliant stars at night and lovely to look at. Bigger than the pictures show inside and well kept and cozy. We didn't have to pack as many clothes with being able to wash and dry clothes. Darci and Scott easy to talk to and we felt if we had needed anything they would have been more than happy to help. Thanks for us two older people with their pets having a great adventure.

Great vacation house for all ages and the pets in the family too!

  • 5 of 5

Let me first say that the photos do not do this house justice. The setting is absolutely spectacular with 360 degree views of the Tom Miner Basin and elk grazing on the front yard. The house also is much more spacious than the pictures leave one to believe. We had a family group ranging from 19 to 84 and everyone had a great time including our dogs who loved the huge yard around the home. The caretakers were attentive to our every need , picking up items in Livingston for us and providing us with a detailed list of nearby hiking trails. We hope to come back and stay soon!

Beautiful spot

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay. Great location. Close to Yellowstone, which is not to be missed, but we found that we also couldn't wait to get "home" to relax on the porch or around the outdoor fire pit, crank up the BBQ, and drink in the gorgeous views of rolling meadows and hills, surrounding mountains, big skies, brilliant stars and mule deer in the yard. We preferred Paradise Valley to Yellowstone. Beautiful, peaceful, without the crowds. Scenic drives/walks, and access to river fishing and kayaking -- all right there. Don't miss Old Yellowstone Trail (near the house) and the Cinnabar Basin to drive/walk. The house worked out perfectly for us; not luxurious but nice, and comfortable with really everything we needed. Darci and Scott, the property managers, were terrific, and owner Steve very helpful, accommodating and responsive.

Great Family Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin during our 6 day trip to Yellowstone, and it was exactly what we needed. The description is accurate that it isn't luxurious, but it definitely has more than all the necessities, and was extremely comfortable. We loved waking up to deer in the yard each morning, and enjoyed hiking the nearby trails. Scott, the caretaker, was friendly, and since he works in Yellowstone, was incredibly knowledgable and informative, giving us great pointers we hadn't read about. The north entrance to Yellowstone is a quick drive away, as well as Gardiner, where we rafted the Yellowstone River. The cabin is very close to the Yellowstone River, and obtaining a fishing liscense is easily done at the market in Emigrant. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great Vacation Getaway

  • 5 of 5

An outstanding base to see Yellowstone and check out the local area. We went to Mount Rushmore and had an easy drive to find the house. The caretakers were excellent and a great source of info for Yellowstone. Lots of great day hikes close by. I recommend the book the owner has provided. There is a bakery in Emigrant that can't be missed either. We were lucky to see a double rainbow while traveling back to the house our last day. A true paradise valley!

Perfect setting for our summer vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved staying in this cabin and the kids already miss it. The layout is perfect and provides spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Deer, rabbits and beautiful magpies visit the yard each day. We were just under 20 minutes to the North entrance to Yellowstone making our visits there very convenient. The cabin is well maintained and has everything you need including super fast internet. The propane grill on the deck worked great. We had a great time here during our stay and were not disappointed. Thank you!!!
