About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This property is the perfect headquarters for exploring Yellowstone National Park and surrounding northern range. Located 17 miles from the historic North Entrance, this property is ideal for day tripping into Yellowstone and the surrounding area. You can easily settle back in time for dinner on the scenic deck nestled in lower paradise valley. We are a rural Montana experience with easy access and pet friendly (with advance notice).

Wildlife of all kinds are in abundance on this property and your privacy is protected by a gated, private road. A caretaker/guide is available to help you with every aspect of your stay. The accommodations are clean, comfortable and convenient. Fishing, rafting, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing are all around you. No need to travel great distances, you are right in the middle of all of it. Please remember that there are plenty of luxurious and high priced rentals throughout the valley, but this is not one of them. Great family cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

We did NOT get enough time here. We will definitely be returning. The cabin was spacious, private, stocked with all we needed, and gave us easy access to Yellowstone. We enjoyed a wonderful evening by the campfire and the kids ran around playing on the property. Internet worked well. Cabin was clean. Only caveat, which I totally get, is that we had to dispose of our garbage. Maybe suggest some spots to do this as we had no idea of any nearby dumpsters. Our kids haven't stopped asking when we are going back! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for family escape with quick access to Yellowstone and other beautiful sites in Montana. Thanks!!

Lovely wildlife!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a quick trip to Yellowstone as part of longer travels to the west coast and this was a great place for Yellowstone adventures. There were elk and deer in the yard in the mornings, which was fun. Plenty of space for our family, though we didn't spend a lot of time at the house since we were taking in a lot of adventure each day.

Great Yellowstone Escape

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed staying at this property. The views are absolutely stunning and you could just sit on the front porch all day. We woke up to deer and elk in the yard each moring. The house was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to spend time in Yellowstone.

Beautiful Private Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

My 2 adult sons and myself stayed for 4 nights. I was private, quite and relaxing. My son brought his dog who loved playing and running in the nice backyard. Sitting on the wrap around deck each night was the perfect end to days wandering Yellowstone Park or floating the Yellowstone River. Elk and deer were seen everyday in the yard, and heard calling each night. The house was very clean, well stocked and plenty of room for everyone. I will return.

Great jumping off place for all around Paradise Valley and Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

Steve, the owner was very informative and helpful and allowed our dogs to come with us for our trip. So quiet and peaceful there. Was a little stressful in Yellowstone but the house was great to come back to and the dogs loved the huge yard to play ball in. Scenery is just beautiful everywhere. Some places even nicer than Yellowstone. Much to do outside Yellowstone. My husband loved the hammock and spent a bit of time in it. Brilliant stars at night and lovely to look at. Bigger than the pictures show inside and well kept and cozy. We didn't have to pack as many clothes with being able to wash and dry clothes. Darci and Scott easy to talk to and we felt if we had needed anything they would have been more than happy to help. Thanks for us two older people with their pets having a great adventure.

Great vacation house for all ages and the pets in the family too!

  • 5 of 5

Let me first say that the photos do not do this house justice. The setting is absolutely spectacular with 360 degree views of the Tom Miner Basin and elk grazing on the front yard. The house also is much more spacious than the pictures leave one to believe. We had a family group ranging from 19 to 84 and everyone had a great time including our dogs who loved the huge yard around the home. The caretakers were attentive to our every need , picking up items in Livingston for us and providing us with a detailed list of nearby hiking trails. We hope to come back and stay soon!
