Located in the vibrant Hawthorne District, our apartment is steps from Portland’s best restaurants, cafés, bookstores, brewpubs, and distilleries. Other services, such as banks and massage therapists, are also nearby. About a mile from downtown, you can explore by bike, bus, or on foot. Our sleek, European-style interiors feature high-end surfaces and finishes for comfort and elegance. Note that there may be noise from neighboring units; we’re happy to provide earplugs and a noise machine!
The Space:
Our building’s exterior stands out from the usual cityscape, featuring a blend of rusted metal siding, painted stucco panels, and black, burned Japanese Shou Sugi Ban wood, creating a signature look visible to anyone traveling on Hawthorne Boulevard. Nestled between the vibrant commercial sector of Hawthorne and leafy side streets adorned with architectural masterpieces from the past 120 years, this location offers the best of both worlds.
Inside, each unit is designed for comfort and style, boasting mini-split heating and cooling, stainless steel appliances (including dishwashers), in-unit washer/dryers, and 9-ft ceilings. The huge windows allow natural light to flood in, highlighting the gorgeous cabinetry with glittering quartz countertops. Enjoy modern amenities such as high-speed WiFi and cable TV, ensuring you stay connected and entertained during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors, with no chain restaurants in sight! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, indulge in delicious wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
Getting Around:
Our apartment is conveniently located in the vibrant Southeast Portland neighborhood, making it easy to explore the city. If you're driving, you can access the property from SE Hawthorne Blvd or SE Division St, both major thoroughfares. Ample street parking is available near the property; please check the signage for any restrictions or time limits.
For those using public transportation, the area is well-served by several bus lines 14 and 15 running nearby. Bus line 14 travels along SE Hawthorne Blvd, connecting you to downtown Portland and the Hawthorne District, while bus line 15 travels along SE Belmont St, providing access to the Lloyd District and the Pearl District.
Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Portland and can drop you off right at the doorstep.
If you just plan on roaming around the city and checking out Portland's diverse neighborhoods, there's really no need for a car. The Hawthorne area is a walker's paradise, with a 92/100 WalkScore® and 98/100 BikeScore®. Portland is also known for being bike-friendly, with numerous bike lanes and racks available throughout the neighborhood. Renting a bike can be a great way to explore the area and enjoy the local scenery.
With its excellent location, our apartment offers easy access to the trendy shops, restaurants, and cafes of Southeast Portland, as well as nearby attractions such as Laurelhurst Park and the historic Bagdad Theater.
