We had a great time in the house. The home is cozy and had everything we needed to make a memorable Thanksgiving meal with local family. The layout is great for giving privacy and together spaces. We loved the location and being able to walk to everything. So much great food and shops near by. This house is fun and we highly recommend. We would definately stay again. Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

All communications were prompt, and the house instructions were clear and well-organized. Our holiday family gathering was truly priceless! The home was perfect for two toddlers and six adults, and the dining table easily accommodated everyone plus two dinner guests. We especially appreciated the decorated tabletop Christmas tree — an unexpected and thoughtful touch. The kitchen was well stocked, the amenities matched (and even exceeded) the description, and the prime location put shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.It was a memorable week and we appreciate the owners' attention to detail.

The house exceeded our expectations. We stay in vacation rentals multiple times a year which gives us a realistic idea of what to expect for the money. This home really delivers. The inside is comfortable with personal touches such as artwork and beautiful handmade tables throughout. The kitchen well stocked, lighting pleasing, guestbook helpful, internet fast, front porch cute, neighborhood excellent. I can’t stress how historical and wonderful this neighborhood is. Don’t miss going for walks and spend some money at the local businesses.

This property was perfect for our group—just a short walk to Mississippi Street with a great coffee shop right next door. Having a parking spot was ideal, especially for driving to the wedding we were attending. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the hosts were wonderful to work with!

Short Stay

The location is amazing. We found that it was central to everything that we wanted to do. We attended a Thorns game and it was quick and easy to get to and from. The parking spot is very close and was very much appreciated.

Amazing stay!

My friends and I, all ladies in our 40’s, booked this retreat for a girl’s weekend and it did not disappoint. The property is adorable and cozy and absolutely perfect for hanging in or going out, cooking, catching up, and spending some much-needed quality time. Highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyed this cheerful home

This home was fun, and the property has an inspiring story of renewal. Easy to park in the lot next door. Homeowner was very easy to reach. Short walk to good food (Prost restaurant and food pods). Very nice communal space: living room, dining table, and kitchen. Comfortable and quiet night’s sleep. Easy drive to the Oregon Zoo. Lots of wonderful umbrellas available, which captivated our grandchild. Thank you for renting your lovely home!

Post Portland to Coast

We had a great stay after participating in the Portland to Coast. Very cute house, worked great for our group. Fun neighborhood with ability to walk to coffee shops and restaurants. Would stay here again!

Great Homebase

Our family had a great stay. Location was the perfect homebase for us to explore Portland and other areas of Oregon. House has everything you need, is comfortable and clean. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and easy access to other parts of the city.

Wonderful little get away

It was really nice! The basement was well furnished! The duel showed head on either side was really great! Close to so many great little locations. Would recommend to anyone staying in Portland.

This was such a beautiful property. Perfect for a girls weekend. Plenty of space. We spent so much time chatting around the beautiful wood table. So much info available for places to see/go. We loved walking up the block to the cute coffee shop. We would definitely stay here again.

We are a husband and wife team who love to travel, mostly on bicycles, and love designing houses. We put both of those passions together with the two businesses we own. Encircle Design and Build is our home remodeling side, where we mainly focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and whole house remodels. We started Shift Vacation Rentals with our duplex on Alberta Street. When we were getting married we looked for a house that could accommodate all of our family members and couldn't find anything. This experience sprouted our idea to create well-designed, modern, artistic lodging for people coming to Portland in our favorite neighborhoods. We adore Portland and think its, if not the, then one of the best cities in the USA. We are excited to share our home and neighborhood with you as it offers so much. In the house there is a list of recommendations of what to do and see in PDX!

The location is amazing. Walking distance to some of Portland's coolest bars, restaurants, and shops. Mississippi District is the area that exemplifies what makes Portland unique, the locally owned businesses will inspire and wow you.
The house is adorable, extremely clean, well looked after and beautifully appointed. The house is only used as a vacation rental, so you don't feel like you are staying in someone's personal space. We strive to provide a home that is perfect and hope you have an amazing stay.
