Excellent vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family had a great vacation. The unit was everything that we needed and could hope for. The 3 master suites allowed everyone there own space which was greatly appreciated. The pictures do not do justice to the view. The location could not be better. The only time we got in the car was to go golfing. Everything you need is across the street. The complex is clean and well maintained.

We liked it so much we have already booked for next year

Condo Invasion

  • 4 of 5

This has been at least our 4th time staying at Seacrest. We were happy with the inside of the rental unit except we missed the straight on ocean view (builing 3) we had last year. We were extremely disappointed that our condo was robbed in the middle of the afternoon (Monday)!! We lost an ipad and a Nook electric reader. We would have lost more, but one of us came home and the intruder left. We are fairly sure that entrance to our condo was through the balcony door, which was not locked, but we were on the 4th floor! There is a hallway look-out next to this unit and someone probably crawled over that into our condo. We immediately disabled the ipad and put our phone number on it to call if found along with a tracker that could locate it when is was turned on. We reported this to the security guard that night and called your management company the next day, who assured me no one else had our door code. The next day we got a call from a very angry man (yelling ans swearing) that wanted to meet us and return the ipad he "found" on a sidewalk. We had his phone number from caller id and his address from the Ipad tracker and called the police. He looked at the address and said it was a trailer park on the island and they would not go there without back up and did not want us to meet this person. The officer said it was not worth going to this neighborhood just to retrieve an ipad. There were several times we saw people around the condo and parking garage that did not look like they "fit in". Much more than in years past. Also, the first evening we arrived, a piece of our luggage was lost. The airlines delivered it at 4:30am. We had to meet the driver in front of the condo to get the suitcase. He informed us that a suv pulled in front of the Seacrest and 4 or 5 people got out with flashlights and walked into the parking area of the Seacrest. He was sure they were up to "no good". At the very minimum, there should be a safe in every condo so that guests can secure their belongings. We have always loved our Hilton Head vacation but were very upset with this situation. Our children were upset also. We want to feel safe and it certainly bothered us that someone creepy was in our unit! Will have to think long and hard about vacationing there next summer.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry to hear that your stay at The SeaCrest was not perfect. We have never had another guest experience what you went thru the week of 7/11. You took the proper steps by contacting the Sheriff's department. The onsite property manager would have also been able to review all of the camera's footage for you and provided to the Sheriff's department. There is on-site security as well that walk the grounds, garages and buildings. Again, we are very sorry to hear of your experience but this is not typical for any guests stay at the SeaCrest Resort. We hope you'll return to stay with us again. Beth Henzler The Vacation Company
