The Woodland Cottage: Private Retreat In The Trees

Welcome to The Woodland Cottage! In our guest house you will find yourself immersed in the beautiful Ozark Mountains and surrounded by large mature trees. You'll be greeted morning and evening by a wide array of birds, squirrels, whitetail deer and many other beautiful animals native to Arkansas. While our guest home is attached via the garage, rest easy knowing you have your own private space inside and out! We look forward to hosting you soon!

As you arrive you'll find a long paved drive that leads back to our home and guest house. There are 2 designated parking spaces towards the back of the driveway and next to the guest house for you. To access the home you'll have a code specific to you that you'll use at the smart lock on the front door of the guest house. Walking in you're greeted by tall beautiful vaulted ceilings and and open concept home. Feel free to leave your coats and shoes in the coat closet near the front door and venture into the home. The living room in very accommodating with plenty of comfy seating, throw blankets, pillows and a smart TV for streaming from your own accounts. There's also a half bath in the adjacent hallway to the living room.

Off of the living room you'll find a dining area comfortably seating 6 people and a fully stocked kitchen with all that you'll need for cooking and baking your favorite meals. Pass through the kitchen and into the sun room which is arguably our favorite room in the entire home! You'll want to spend a lot of your time here, especially in the mornings! It's the perfect place to enjoy watching the birds, squirrels and deer anytime of the year.

You'll find the master bedroom directly off of the dining area and equipped with a cozy king size bed and designated work space. The master bedroom faces the back of our property and has a spectacular view of the woods and nature. Attached to the master is the oversized full bathroom with a walk in shower and large vanity space. You'll also have plenty of storage space in the huge walk in closet.

Up the beautiful staircase overlooking the living area you'll find the Loft! The Loft is such a quaint space for the kids to have their own activities or for another couple to have their own privacy. Three plush twin beds with luggage racks, a smart TV for streaming and leather lounge chairs all make up the loft space for you.

Of course we can't forget the outdoor patio space since you likely came to enjoy the beautiful Arkansas weather we have! Enjoy the patio year round with great shade in the hot summer months and wind blocked by the trees in the winter months. Listen to the crackle of the fire in the pit or toss some corn hole for a little friendly competition.

Guests will have the entire guest house to themselves with privacy inside and out. There are 2 patio spaces, an outdoor fire pit, corn hole and plenty of greenspace. Guests also have 2 designated parking spaces that are clearly marked. We ask that guest not exceed the 2 vehicle limit.

While we do live here full time and we might catch each other coming and going, we respect your space and privacy. We'd ask that you respect ours as well while you enjoy your stay.

We're in a great location just 6 minutes from Historic Downtown Rogers with lots of great restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and more! In downtown Rogers you'll also find The Railyard Bike Park which is a world class bike park for riders of all skill levels; Lake Atalanta which is a beautiful spring fed lake with paved and dirt trails all the way around it, multiple playgrounds, mountain bike trails, fishing dock, etc; & Pleasant Ridge walking/biking trailhead is just 2 miles from the house as you're approaching Downtown Rogers.

In the other direction you'll find the crystal clear waters of Beaver Lake with the largest marina, Prairie Creek, only 10 minutes from the house. Prairie Creek has camp grounds, swimming area, boat launch, restaurant on the water, and more!

We're located in a well established, quiet community near Beaver Lake, Prairie Creek and Downtown Rogers. The Woodland Cottage is our guest house and is attached to our home via the garage. We are quiet folks and are incredibly respectful of your privacy and request that you are of ours too. We hope you enjoy your stay in our cottage and enjoy the bird, squirrels and deer!

We offer parking for 2 vehicles or 1 vehicle and a trailer. If you are traveling with your boat, you're welcome to park it on site but it is a bit of a tight turnaround in the driveway so would not recommend anything longer than about a 25' trailer.
