This was the perfect location and condo for our family ski trip to Mammoth. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is that the HVAC system/thermostats were not responsive. The weather was pretty warm all day and then cooled at night, but this condo was very tough to cool off without opening the sliding glass doors, which we could not leave open overnight because they’re accessible from a common balcony area.
This property is in walking distance of Canyon Lodge and lifts and is bright, clean and spacious. The kitchen is very usable and the furnishings are nice and comfortable. Overall, a nice place to stay.
AMAZING LOCATION!!! The big storm did not stop us we walked about seven minutes and took the sweet Canyon Gondola ride into the village! Easy walk to the slopes for sure! The jacuzzis (there are three - two outside and one inside) and game room are only steps away from the front door. And yes! The views are so amazing! I had my coffee every morning looking out the large windows to the trees and mountains. (see pix)The condo is cozy - we had a wood burning fire every day. We were snowed in the day after Christmas - the mountain was closed - so we just enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and had good quality family time! Make sure to bring your own games! It's a cozy condo for sure!
Nice relaxing place to chill out after skiing. The place has a '70s Vibe with all the modern amenities. Just note it is a concrete building, you will need to use Wi-Fi calling.
We loved the location and the spacious great room area! Wide open windows and fun ring toss game added to the ambiance. Such an easy walk to the slopes and access to the parking garage. Everything was smooth from checkin to checkout. Thank you!
The property is a great location. We enjoyed the big sun room and amenities like pool, BBQ. The only issue we had upon leaving was not being able to turn the thermostats down to 50. I called the number provided but since it was a Sunday no one was available to assist with that.
Best location in Mammoth. Unit was clean and the management company was able to offer a late check out. Be aware if you want to request early check in or late check out they will not accommodate same day requests.

Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! We hope you will think of us again for your next visit!
This is an amazing location with underground parking in the building closest to the lifts which was amazing! The unit is also very close to the pool and jacuzzi which was awesome. The condo was comfortable but could definitely use some throw blankets or rugs to make it more cozy. The wood floors in the winter were very cold. It would also be helpful of the condo had some Tupperware and tinfoil in stock. There was nothing to store extra food in.

Great location for snowboarding trip
Location is great for the snowboarding trip, walking distance to Canyon Lodge, save the hassle of finding a parking spot near the lodge. Upon arrival, I followed tablet to check in, but was not success to check in, and the instruction did not show reason of why, gotten me frustrated. Property interior is old, kind expect to have a nice one while paying the high price of it. I tried to have a wood fire in the fire pit for kids to have fun, then the smoke alarm went off crazy, it defeated the meaning of offering wood to burn in the room.
We really enjoyed our stay and location. Property management listed fees associated with every check out item (i.e turn off lights 50) (some of which were impossble to complete because the facilities differed from the instructions (like fireplace instructions made no sense w that fireplace...there was no damper). I started wondering during the trip whether I would be fined for this or that. Ultimately I was not, but I had never seen a property management conpany assign a fine to each item like that. Decor is dated but overall it was a good place with a good location.

Everything that is great about this place is inherent and has nothing to do with the owner / manager of this unit, while everything that is terrible about this unit has everything to do with them, which is straight up unfortunate and a total own goal. The location is pretty much unbeatable. The 1849 Condos are super well-located a short walk to the Canyon Lodge. While not textbook ski-in / ski-out, it is almost as good. The unit in particular is in the same building as the covered garage, making loading / unloading / access very easy. The unit is as close as you can get to the pool, 3 jacuzzis, sauna, and clubhouse / game room. The community amenities are truly awesome and really made the experience. That is unfortunately where the good ends. Our unit was very dirty. With literal dirt, hair, crumbs, and grime everywhere. The dishes and utensils were scattered and were not properly cleaned. We were provided 4 thin towels and none for the jacuzzi area like all other units receive. The unit is old and poorly maintained, almost negating all the great things about the community, amenities, and location. There is no pride of ownership. Some very inexpensive upgrades and a better maintenance plan would make this place ELITE.While the owner does not take good care of the unit, they do provide a comically itemized list of potential charges if you do not do everything to a T upon move out. Stupid lists like this are why people are returning to hotels instead of STRs.
Great location during ski season...but check to make sure Canyon Lodge is open before booking!
Great location and exactly what is on the listing. The view was beautiful from the living room and we loved being so close to the hot tub/pool area. A few things to note: We booked it for late April to do spring skiing, but Canyon Lodge closed 3 days beforehand, which made the location a bummer because we had to drive and park at the Mill or Main lodge. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but we were traveling with an 8 month old, so it's a whole extra thing when we have to drive to a lift and park. Not the condo's fault, just make sure you check your dates when you book to make sure it will actually be Ski in/ski out :)A minor complaint is that they did not give us enough towels for everyone to have one shower towel and one pool towel, and they didn't tell you to bring your own pool towels anywhere in the listing or in the checkin instructions.... which was a bummer because the hottub was a big draw for me, so all weekend I was using a wet towel for showers and hot tub. Had I known I would have packed pool towels. Even being there in the off season, it was a bit noisy - the back room had banging heater pipes all night and in the front room it sounded like the family above us was bowling... so I would imagine it may get pretty loud during high season. These are not major complaints but just good things to know before you book :) Still think it deserves 5 stars
