Wake up to breathtaking Caribbean Sea views from this luxury villa, featuring a large private pool and seamless indoor-outdoor living. Designed for comfort and privacy, this exclusive retreat is perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and unforgettable island sunsets.
Beautifully landscaped grounds provide a peaceful sanctuary to enjoy the breathtaking views from both levels of this large two story villa. Inside, the 5 double doors open to the pool area, making for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Villa Destino also boasts a state of the art solar energy system featuring the Tesla Powerwall II Battery. This is to ensure that our guests have consistent and reliable eco-friendly power during their stay.

ABOUT THE SPACE

The first floor features a well-appointed kitchen, living room, indoor and outdoor dining and full bath, all open to the 30 foot pool. The upper level has 3 bedrooms, each with its own full bath. Also on the second floor is a den/study for watching movies or lounging with a book, and a generous covered porch that provides a peaceful place to enjoy the incredible views. The covered porch leads to the garden terrace where you will find a secluded tropical garden with banana and papaya trees.

Our 3 bedroom villa is designed to comfortably sleep up to 6 people.

Main Guest Room
The large main suite has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and french doors leading to the private garden terrace.

Second Guest Room
The second guest room with Queen bed and ensuite bath offers dramatic Caribbean views.

Third Guestroom
The large third guest room has a private bath and includes a king-size bed (which can also be set up as 2 twins), a separate sitting room with sofa that converts to sleeping space, and views of the Caribbean and pool area.

Villa Destino has all of the amenities you would expect to find in a luxury rental including a gated motor court with security camera*, Wi-Fi, flat screen satellite tv, quality appliances, four burner gas outdoor grill, washer/dryer, and so much more. It also has everything you need to enjoy Vieques' spectacular beaches . . . plush beach towels, beach umbrella and 6 beach chairs, coolers, toys, and some snorkeling equipment.

Villa Destino is located in the hillside neighborhood of Destino on the edge of the National Wildlife Refuge overlooking the undeveloped shores of the Caribbean Sea. It is just a short drive to the best beaches on the island as well as the two main towns of Isabel Segunda and Esperanza.

Villa Destino is located on Vieques island which is 7 miles off the main island of Puerto Rico. You will need to fly or take the ferry from the main island. We suggest you secure your rental car as soon as possible as they do run out during busy months. Also, there are no Uber/Lyft services on the island, so a rental car is your best option for getting around the island.

Our group of three couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations are very nice, very comfortable and very clean. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. Never needed it in the common areas. Wonderful pool and patio with an amazing view. The central location makes it easy to get to any beach on the island and it is a short drive to most restaurants. I would stay here again in a moment and we highly recommend it..

Great stay

This property is exactly as pictured and is stunning. Check in was seamless and they had everything ready for our arrival. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor seating spaces immensely. The bathrooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable. The location is good, located relatively close to Isabel II, but is up a very steep drive, so make sure to have a vehicle with 4WD (you need one on this island regardless). We had a lovely time, thank you!

Villa Destino is just an amazing place to stay. It was perfect for my family of 5. I was absolutely floored by the views when I first walked in the gate. The pics do not do it justice. The owner, Mary Kay, made our stay super comfortable and was just a text away. Gina, the property manager, was always a available for questions. The property grounds were beautiful and the house was super clean upon arrival. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and beach gear supplied (coolers, chairs, towels, snorkel gear). We made quite the memories here and looking forward to coming back!!

We had a fantastic, most memorable island vacation at Villa Destino on the Isla of Vieques! Beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and great snorkeling opportunities..To scrumptious breakfast bakeries, and fresh catch dinners.. The crown jewel was kayaking the surreal biobay! The only disappointment was we couldnt stay forever 😪 If we can make it back I will definitely book the Villa again. Five Stars!

Fun in Vieques

We enjoyed our stay in Vieques. The villa was amazing, we loved the layout, beautiful view, and the pool. Mary Kay was helpful in setting everything up and Karen answered all our questions when we arrived. A jeep was recommended and definitely needed to reach the property and explore the island. Hillside view and pool!

we thoroughly enjoyed this home, it was perfect for our holiday trip with our family of 4 with plenty of room to spare. the open floor plan also seemed to include the pool area which had a nice flow for our week on the island. traveled to many beached daily and we were close enough to all of them from this home all was clean neat and orderly. the property has a full bathroom for each bedroom which was nice. we would rent here again for sure.

Delightful Destino

The house is perfection and the pool is the cherry on top. There was no issue with electricity for the AC in the bedrooms at night (I actually got cold). Vieques is a top 3 place for me and I would stay at Villa Destino anytime. Good kitchen supplies and the grill worked great. You will not regret a stay here.

We had a great stay on Vieques at Villa Destino. Karen was very nice and helpful. The Villa is very nice and the pool was wonderful. The ac took a long time to cool the bedrooms but the pool cooled us off quick after a day of beaching and sight seeing. The Villa was very well equipped for cooking in some nights. We went to different beaches every day and the island is pretty. I would definitely stay here again on Vieques.

Scenic and Peaceful Stay

Our family loved our stay at Villa Destino! The pool was one of the best we’ve enjoyed at a vacation home! Our kids kept wanting to swim at the house rather than the ocean! We opened all the doors in the morning and kept them open to enjoy all day. The views on the deck are beautiful and peaceful. We had visits from Iguanas and peacocks daily. Loved the horses all over the island and the general island vibe. Recommend Vieques and Villa Destino!

My family and I fell in love with Villa Destino and Vieques! This was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last. Karen, the house manager, was wonderful. She got us settled in on check in day and communicated with us during our stay. Mary Kay was great to work with as well. The home and the location are perfect! The pool was our absolute favorite. Gorgeous view of the Caribbean

We wanted for nothing. The views were stunning. The pool refreshing. The many places to relax were well thought out. Kitchen supplies were just what we needed (we even cooked a 13-lb turkey for thanksgiving!). Three bedrooms and four baths perfect for three couples. It was fun to explore the island and return home to this oasis. Property manager was very helpful and kind. We look forward to coming back!

Paradise!

Amazing experience - one of the best views on all of Vieques and so much space for everything we would need to do and more. The entire stay was perfect. The property manager Karen is communicative and fun to talk to. Very helpful. And Mary Kay was great to communicate with prior to the stay too. We had 6 of us staying there and we each had enough privacy but great communal spaces too. We grilled a few nights and loved listening to the coqui while stargazing. We hope to come back again soon!

When we moved to Wisconsin in 1998, we started visiting the Caribbean to escape the cold winters and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the beaches. During our many visits, mainly to the US Virgin Islands, we started dreaming of owning a vacation home in the Caribbean. Then, in 2014, we visited Vieques for the first time, fell in love with the island, and knew the time was right to make our dream come true. We started looking at homes for sale during that very first trip, and purchased Villa Destino one year later in March 2015. Since that time, we have come to appreciate the many things that make Vieques such a special place. From the incredible bio-luminescent bay, to the spectacular beaches in the National Wildlife Refuge, to the wild horses that roam the island, Vieques is a true vacation destination. We want Villa Destino to be a special place on this special island... and we are off to a good start as Villa Destino has received the highest 5-Star "Exceptional" rating based on guest reviews. We will continue to do everything possible to make sure that these high standards are maintained.

Why they chose this property

Vieques is a beautiful unspoiled Caribbean island. The harder choice was which side of the island was better suited for the perfect vacation experience. Initially, we were tempted to buy a house in the Bravos de Boston neighborhood, where most of the vacation rentals are located. These properties are generally situated on the north side of the island (Atlantic Ocean side) close to the ferry and the main town of Isabel Segunda. While the Bravos de Boston neighborhood is relatively close to the water, the area is more congested and the north shore beaches are not very good for swimming because of the waves and rocky shoreline. During our visits to the island, we learned that the best swimming beaches are located in the 18,000 acre National Wildlife Refuge on the south side of the island (Caribbean side). Imagine calm blue and turquoise waters and miles of remote white sand beaches. Villa Destino sits on the edge of the wildlife refuge overlooking the south side of the island and it is perfectly positioned to take advantage of these breathtaking views. Even better, it is just a short 2-3 minute drive to the entrance to the wildlife refuge.

What is truly unique about Villa Destino is that the villa opens to the outdoors on both levels and allows you to really enjoy the warm tropical breezes, sparkling pool, vibrant gardens and abundant sunshine, whether indoors or out.

Villa Destino has also installed a state of the art solar energy system featuring two Tesla Powerwall II Batteries. With minimal energy conservation practices ,Villa Destino is able to run completely off grid. However, the property remains connected to the grid to offer back up energy when needed.

Villa Destino provides an incredible luxury experience at a fraction of the cost of a stay at a hotel or other high end vacation home.
