I am a self employed individual working in the entertainment industry, I have a degree from Emerson College in Boston Massachusetts where I grew up. I love living in Hollywood and feel fortunate to own a great classic Craftsman home here where I can Walk, take the subway, see live theater, walk to fantastic restaurants, Live Music venues, The Famous upscale Arclight Movie Theater, and enjoy the outdoors after living in NYC for a number of years on and off.
Craig purchased this bungalow in 2003
It is a fantastic area and at the time I bought, I knew Hollywood was headed for a BIG REBIRTH! Hollywood has become the IT place to live in Los Angeles these days.
The Hollywood Bowl, The Subway to connect me to downtown, The Kodak Theater, The W Hotel and Spa, Restaurants, Cafes , outdoor weekend Farmers Markets, Live theater and Music, and so much more. I love that I can walk to everything, this makes me feel much more connected to a City community that I have in other areas of Los Angeles.
Everything was amazing, from beginning to end. Craig was so welcoming and hospitable I felt like a real neighbour. His communication with me prior to arrival was speedy and efficient, answering all my questions and ensuring that I made a seamless transition. During my stay, he was always helpful, changing light bulbs when needed or checking in on my general wellbeing. He even texted me to remind me to move my car on the right days to avoid any potential tickets! What a guy :)
The house was like a little oasis! Everything was clean and in good standing order, from the utensils to the appliances. The finish is beautiful and well-crafted. You can feel the love in the space when you walk in.
I've never felt so at home in LA as I did staying here. It would have been nice to have laundry on site but with a convenient wash-n-fold nearby, it was never an issue.
My wife and I enjoyed immensely our stay at Craig's Hollywood guest house. We were in town to run the LA half-marathon.
The location is ideal for seeing and experiencing all of the sights of the famous Hollywood Landmarks. Everything is in such close proximity to Craig's place, that you can walk and enjoy all of the landmarks, eating, drinking, and entertainment spots.
Also, Craig's suggestions for things to do and see, and eat and drink were spot on.
The guest house itself was perfect for our needs for two people. We really enjoyed hanging out on the lovely deck and just relaxing.
One of the great benefits of staying with Craig was the parking. We received a parking pass from Craig and were able to park and not have to stress about the prospects of getting a ticket.
Overall, our stay was a pleasurable experience, and I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of lodging in the area to give Craig a call.
Thanks, Bruce Wilson... Denver Colorado
Craig is a very gracious host. Home had all the amenities you need. Private, cozy and quaint home. You can walk to great restaurants, shopping and the famous Hollywood Blvd if you want. Highly recommend staying here.
My sister and I took a sister vacation to go see Adele in LA and this place was centrally located to Staples and night life of Hollywood. The house is fully stocked and Craig the owner is super sweet. Only downside was the A/C. And for August it was a bit too hot for my comfort but then again I like my house cold. I was afraid parking was going to be bad but not at all. With the parking pass that Craig gives you we found parking next to or in front of the house the entire weekend. Craig always stayed in touch with us to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. He is super nice. Check in and Check out was a breeze. We will definitely stay here again in the near future. Thanks Craig.
Craig was the perfect host, worked with my arrival time, went over all the amenities of the cottage when I arrived. This is a great location, they can arrange for parking, but I had no car and took Uber and Lyft when I needed to go farther than a short walk. Highly recommended!
I loved it here. Period. The property is well taken care of by Craig. This is a lovely quiet neighborhood near many sites in the LA area. If I can describe the property in one word, it would be "oasis."
The space itself is spacious, clean and well coordinated. This is your home away from home. :) Everything you need is here. I was a solo female traveler and upon arrival I felt welcomed immediately.
I felt very comfortable here and Craig would have it no other way. The pictures represent exactly what you will see upon arrival. The owner Craig has great recommendations for restaurants and other events in the area. Book this cozy friendly space, you will not regret it. I hope to stay here the next time I'm in Los Angeles! :)
