Space and location was great but needed a good deep clean. Didn’t feel comfortable that door didn’t lock when we left house so anybody could enter.The restroom showers needed a good scrub. Toilet seat had dried urine in the lid. Roaches downstairs

The good- the host is very nice and very quick to reply to messages. Having 4 bedrooms was very nice for our group. The stairs are steep, but there’s a rail, and also a baby gate if needed. The not so good- I hate to complain as the host is so nice, but I also have to be honest. As other reviews mentioned, the house could be a lot cleaner. A good cleaning would do wonders for making guests more comfortable. Dirty floors, sticky spots on floors and nightstands from spilled drinks, kitchen surfaces that haven’t been wiped in a long time, etc aren’t what guests want.Also, the backyard play set is not safe. It has floorboards missing, braces unattached, etc. There is also a lot of construction material scattered around the yard. Have a play set was a main consideration in choosing this rental, so it was very annoying that it and the whole yard weren’t safe for kids. The kitchen and bathrooms needed a few more items to be fully functional for guests- washcloths, hand towels, hand soap, a blow dryer in the bathrooms. The kitchen didn’t have any dish, hand, or paper towels, or any cloth or sponge to wash dishes. Either the dishwasher didn’t work, or we weren’t smart enough to get it started.With just a little care and work, this house could be a 5 star, but it wasn’t during our stay. A deep-clean and regular mopping, etc, a few more towels and such in the house, and tearing down the play set and removing construction material from the backyard would get it.

My family and I were very pleased with the home location, yard and setting furniture.

Family and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights in this beautiful home that accommodated our every need from all essentials necessary. Owner Velma and her brother were very nice and friendly. They made the stay even more comfortable to trust family with there previous home.Thank you Velma & Andes

Appliances not working and place could have been cleaner

-Smoke alarms had been pulled out of the ceiling and wires were hanging where smoke alarms should have been.-Thermostats were hard to use to adjust the temperature, especially for someone who never used that type before.-Microwave had no power to it.-Toilets did not flush when we arrived; we had to fix them ourselves.-Stove did not work well. Only 1 out of 4 burners worked properly, and it was a small burner on the very back of the stove, so it was difficult to cook.-Kitchen was poorly equipped. We had to buy a pot to cook soup in, and borrow a skillet and other cookware.-The dishwasher was dirty or moldy inside, so we did not attempt to use it. We washed the dishes by hand.-The pipes under the kitchen sink leaked.-The ironing board was dirty.-There was a car parked in the driveway, so we only had one parking spot, and other family members had to park in the street.-There was play equipment for the children in the back yard. Most of it was OK, but the swing set was unstable so my kids were afraid to use the swings.-I think if all of the above problems were fixed, it could be a really nice house to stay in. It was spacious and had lots of bedrooms, and a place upstairs where the kids could play and work on their online schooling, and the dining area was a nice place to host family and friends. The washer and dryer were extra large and they worked well. The house is in a nice neighborhood and convenient location. The flowers in the yard are pretty.

Applances are being REPLACED for NEW ONES, this month. The ceiling is in the process of being rid of popcorn ceiling, howver it is being done one room at a time and between bookings. ALL smoke alarms in process of being changed as well.
