About Steve & Bobbie
Captain Steve has spent may years working on the artificial reef program for the State. He also has extensive knowledge of the fishing and crabbing available on the Broadkill River. He's happiest when he's fishing, planning on fishing, or talking about fishing. Bobbie is recently retired from the hospitality industry and is enjoying every day she no longer has to leave the beach. It has always been in her plans to offer her hospitality to those who wanted to experience the laid back lifestyle that comes with being on Broadkill Beach.
Steve & Bobbie purchased this House in 2006
Why Steve & Bobbie chose Broadkill Beach
This property has become one of the greatest blessings Bobbie and I have ever received because of the wonderful experiences we were able to share with our family and closest friends. Fond memories of breathtaking sunsets over the Wildlife Refuge while sitting on the back deck and then watching the stars appear in the sky; finding the north star, big dipper and identifying other constellations. Turning to the moon, we would determine its phase and discuss the way to remember “Waxing” and “Waning” crescent. The children would search for shooting stars and make a wish. I hope you and your family can create similar memories here at our home at the beach. This southern section of Broadkill Beach is amazing in that it gives you the true feeling of peace and serenity. When you walk the beach with your morning cup of coffee, you might not see another person anywhere! Privacy, tranquility and serenity are what you experience while walking on the sandy shore of the mouth of the Delaware Bay. Although individuals do not own the beach front, this is a very private area, possibly because there is no legal place to park your vehicles unless you own the property in this section. There is no public parking. This is a beach experience you have never had before. It is perfect for families. It is located on the Delaware Bay and great for smaller children to swim and play, older ones to fish, swim and operate water toys and for parents to let their guard down a little because your family is easily seen at all times due to the fact that there are few or no people within 100 yards of your beach chair. You will not ever find this beach too crowded and will be able to create your own fond memories to carry you into the future. Discover why the southernmost part of Broadkill Beach is the best kept secret in Delaware.

Welcoming, clean, peaceful... perfect get away!
A friend and I stayed here for a couple days as a Mothers Day/birthday retreat from mom life. It was just wonderful! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the kitchen is so cute and stocked with tea and coffee. You've got the channel to enjoy from the back of the apartment and the beach right across a low traffic neighborhood street on the front side. I'm an early riser so I would grab my book and sit on the back porch soaking in the beauty of the wild life reserve. It's a very quiet peaceful place. Steve and Bobbi are the loveliest people, we enjoyed them so much and they made themselves available for any questions or needs we had - like where's the best the best place to get crab cakes :). They invited us back with our kids next time, look forward to staying with them again!
Perfect weekend getaway for the whole family!
We had a wonderful time at Steve and Bobbi's place with our 4 year old twins this past weekend. They made us feel very welcome and the apartment had everything we needed and more. We loved having meals on the screened porch looking out onto the nature preserve. Steve kindly showed our boys how to fish off the dock and it was the highlight of their trip. Broadkill is so tranquil and a place where you can really get away yet only a quick ride down to busier Rehoboth if you want to go out to dinner or have rainy weather.
A Gem of a Find
Loved Broadkill Beach and loved this home. It is immaculate and cozy. It has a great deck from which you can zen watching the osprey and numerous varieties of birds. I watched a muskrat swimming for awhile which was so cool. This place is a real find. From the moment I got off the highway, I felt like I was going back to the old days before other beaches became so busy and built up. When I took the first turn down onto South Bayshore drive, I was amazed at all the trees and I just thought 'wow". The owner was really great, helpful, and nice. He was there to greet me. I felt very peaceful, serene and relaxed there. I loved that you could hear the ocean waves and take in the views of the bay. I wish I could take that home with me. This is really the best place in the best spot with the best views. The home is well stocked and has everything you need and comfortable sleeping accommodations. My girlfriend and I took long walks on the beach and found cool shells. The only thing between me and getting back here again soon is my busy schedule.
I am so happy you girls enjoyed our home we love when people take advantage of the nature and beauty of Broadkill Beach hope to see you and your family soon You were great guests
Clean, quiet place with nice views and delightful hosts. Three very nice nights.
Perfect place for 2 couples
The owners are very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The location is beautiful with sunset views from the deck and beach access directly across the street. We had a great time and will be returning again!
Thanks for the great review Come back soon You were great travelers
Nice lodging for 2 to 4 people.
Very quiet beach and preserve area (at least over Easter weekend), very nicely decorated, and well equipped. Kind owners live upstairs. Close to Dogfish Head brewery (which is great), and close to Rehoboth Beach also.
Glad you had a nice time it was wonderful having you here. Hope you come again

The home is located on the border of the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge with Deep Hole Creek. There are lots of things to do, from fishing or crabbing off of the dock and birdwatching, to swimming and surf fishing off the beach across the street on the Delaware Bay. 2817 South Bayshore Drive, Milton, DE, 19968, US
