Luquillo, piso 18 con frente al mar

Nuestro apartamento de esquina piso 13 se encuentra directamente sobre la playa de Luquillo. No hay caminos para cruzar para obtener acceso a la playa, simplemente a pie por las escaleras directamente en nuestra playa. A la izquierda está la Pared uno de los puntos más calientes de surf en la isla, a la derecha es La Selva uno de los litorales más extensos inalteradas / sin desarrollar en todo Puerto Rico. Este complejo de edificios doble cerrada se encuentra en lo alto de una roca de granito que se eleva sobre la playa cuyas olas crear un sonido maravilloso como se disipan sobre la arena. En el lugar hay un gimnasio, piscina, sala de juegos para los niños, mirador y mucho más. El complejo cuenta con seguridad las 24 horas y aparcamiento en garaje. La unidad ha sido decorado con los mejores muebles. De los 3 dormitorios dos tienen camas de matrimonio y el tercero tiene una cama doble en litera completa con un nido. Las habitaciones tienen capacidad para 8 personas.

Campo de golf Wyndham Rio Mar y El Conquistador Golf Course son excelentes opciones para los que buscan unas vacaciones activas, pero si prefieres sumergirte en la naturaleza, Playa de Luquillo y Bosque Nacional El Yunque son lo que necesitas. Parque tropical de Carabalí y Reserva Natural Las Cabezas de San Juan también merecen la pena. The condo itself was very clean and comfortable and the staff we met were very friendly. A bonus is the amazing view of the ocean. It is exactly as shown in the images by the property manager. But, if you're looking to swim in the ocean, you can not do it here. The rip currents are too strong and the water is very rough. However, it's only a short 5 to 10 minute walk to reach a safe area with a beautiful beach. The pool is indefinitely closed. Read the fine print in the listing. If you love cats, you can get your fill in the area surrounding the condo. Cats are everywhere. Thankfully we didn't see any on the condo property itself as my husband is deathly allergic. The host was slow to respond to inquiries. We were only in the unit 1 night due to a long day of travel before leaving for accommodations elsewhere.

Right next to an awesome beach

The highlight of the stay was the location right next to the beach. Owner was prompt and honest on some pool closure. We had minor incidents with respect to the elevators which is problem if you need to get to the 18th floor, issue was resolved within a day. Otherwise the stay was pleasant, family friendly and great.

Wonderful Trip

Our stay was very good we were in great proximity to the things that we wanted to do and the short drive to Old San Juan. The view was amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Cool spot

Very good communication and accommodation from host. Place is older/slightyly dated but very clean and secure. Awesome beach w great scenery and a cool river flowing into ocean right out front. Not the best swimming on site but plenty of options nearby. Body Boarding and surfing were good out front.

Trip of a lifetime

Property is beautiful. Sits on almost a private beach. Absolutely breathtaking. Location very convenient for getting to area attractions. Full grocery store, Walgreens and even McDonald's only 10 minutes away. Restaurants galore. Delicious food. Unit has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Huge living room with nice sized balcony. And kitchen fully equipped for any cook. Had a most wonderful time, highly recommend to all.

Location: Awesome! Right on the beach. Note: don’t expect to swim. Water is way too choppy. View is stunning! Lots of area businesses within walking distance. Locals are so nice! Close to Luquillo Beach, awesome beach & authentic restaurants.Condo: secure gated community is a plus. Security employees so helpful & nice. Note: garage is under west building & condo is East building. It’s a walk back and forth from parking spot to condo. Security outweighs walk. One elevator wasn’t working. Long wait. Condo space is great! Can’t beat having 3 separate bedrooms. Walls and ceiling need undates. Otherwise really nice. King and queen beds really comfortable. Bunk beds need mattresses updated. Pool is closed 6:00pm. Would be nice to use in evenings when back for the night. Overall, I’d recommend this property!! Had a great time.

Perfect beach location, close walk to food and bars

Perfect beach location. The beach was close, clean, had silky sand, and had plenty of sand dollars. The view from the apartment is amazing. The apartment had the best mattresses I have slept on while on vacation in a long time. Convenient washer and dryer in the kitchen. The security guards and other residents at the apartment were super helpful and friendly! So many close restaurants and bars to choose from. Favorites were Boardriders (salmon bowel, mahi bowel, and caprese were delicious), La Fonda Gourmet (we tried many items-all delicious, and servers were great!), and Latin Gyros. Close to a grocery store and other attractions. The host sent a packet of information that served to be very helpful!

Great view but location not great

The check in process was a pain as well as getting into the unit. Too many keys. The front door was a real pain to lock. The cooling units are very loud. None of us slept great. The condo itself is decorated nicely and has everything you need for the beach. We went to another calmer beach for the day. The building and surrounding area is very worn. Didn’t feel safe walking around after dark. We were glad we only stayed for 2 nights.

My stay

I love my stay I really did enjoyed it at first I was kinda skeptical about it because I was reading mixed reviews but I actually enjoyed it It's not fancy, but it is a feel of how people do live there in the community. I think it was a really good experience. I felt safe groceries was pretty expensive. I want to Mention that I did see a lot of cats but it wasn't as bad as I read it. I did figure out that someone in the community. Does feed them so they do come out at certain times when it's feeding time Mendez, the security guard was very helpful. And it wasn't hard 2. Get into the condo at all mark. Also was great And responded pretty fast

Luquillo Is The Way To Go

We stayed in the apartment on the 18th floor and all I can say about the view is WOW! Waking up and walking out to the living room to hear the waves crashing against the beach and to watch the sun rise over the ocean is truly a sight to see. There was a perfect amount of space for our family of 5. To save a little money, we shopped at the local supermarket and bought stuff to make breakfast and lunches, but we ate out a different restaurants each night for dinner. The building and grounds were clean, but there were quite a few stray cats and chickens walking around. Because of this, the odor in the air was pretty pungent. The apartment came with a parking space which was very handy being the streets around Luquillo are very tight and parking is hard to come by. And be sure to visit the Kiosks and beach in Luquillo and definitely grab a smoothie and a pastelillo at La Frutera Flores while you're there!

Overall Ok would'nt stay Excellent property though :{

Location is where the property is ok to get a good rating besides the inside of the apartment needs alot of maintanence. One star for the great view and one star for the owners prompt response. The parking garage has terrible smell and terrible entrance/exit so we have to walk three stories to the main lobby since ELEVATOR IS BROKEN !! Already had a late checkin with keys missing but owner was quite helpful. Keys were missing in lockbox while checkin.Tons of thing inside the apartment needs updates, from broken furniture to missing fan blade, missing balcony window glass and broken window stopper, balcony has a concrete deteriorating building needs renovation water leaks when standing in balcony, kitchen sink constantly running water, both bathroom shower has missing liners so water floods outside the tub, kitchen needs plenty update, bunk bed was wobbly kids had to sleep on floor with the mattress pulled out. The maintenence manager needs to keep the property properly furnished and pre-checked before guest arrival. The master bath sink was clogged completely. The swimming pool has weird hours open from 9am till 6pm which is when were out exploring when we return home there is no more swimming available. So if the building and swimming pool has keys why the security guard locks it and even though we went at noon time he didnt show up with keys. So kids could'nt enjoy swimming at all !!! Oh and there is a terrible smell soon as you exit the elevator like a dead animal smell. It horrible while you wait for elevator to arrive its unbreathable!!! However the veiw from the balcony was a million dollar view, which my family and I enjoyed every day. Lastly update needed on list of things to do while at the property seems like its outdated completely.

A diamond in the rough !

So let’s start with the amazing things about this place. The view is amazing !!!!! The condo is clean, well taken care of and very comfortable. The building is literally on the beach. It’s only about 40 minutes from the airport and San Juan. Besides being on the beach and ocean front there is a river mouth that’s on the beach coming from the Rainforest. The ocean is rough to swim if your not experienced but the river is very calm and safe for kids to play in with supervision. The view from the condo is amazing and the beach is amazing! Rusty brown sand that is really soft. Some of the softest beach sand I’ve walked on. There is plenty a restaurants within a short drive and a few local places with in a few blocks of the condo. They have really good security and you are provided keys to enter the building, elevator and condo which is self check in. You have a personal parking spot that’s secure as well. The condo is gated for all traffic. This is also located a short drive to the rain forest which has waterfalls and two historic towers but you must get tickets in advance or wait to see if they have extra tickets the day before when they release them at 8 and 11 am on the National park website. That said grocery store and other essentials and even fast food places 5 minutes away. They even have a Walmart in the next town south of Luquillo. The owner had clear communication and was easy to deal with. Also clothes washer and dryer inside the place is really convenient. So here is the part to help set your expectations. This is not a resort, this is in the city on the beach and has the smells and stray cats and dogs you would see in even parts of New York City. The building has had better days and new management is working on issues that need to be updated like the elevators not working in the parking garage. Again the typical smells of cats and birds in the garage. They have a pool and a hot tub for the whole condo which is nice including showers and bathrooms so you don’t have to go back to your place. The beach side is not smelly and very refreshing. The down side to the beach is it’s a large long flight of stairs which might be a problem for people with physical limitations. That all said I’ve stayed in multiple places in PR and this place is definitely worth the stay. Also you are near a very good surfing beach that was amazing to watch surfers to shred some waves. There is also other public beaches that are really nice as well. Enjoy your stay.

Home away from home with wonderful views

Close to lots of adventures (fishing, rainforest, and beaches). Wonderful communication and thoughtfully supplied by owner. Highly recommend for family trips, especially for an authentic Puerto Rican experience. Would recommend to my own family and friends.

this is a condo. the owner send me a 22 pages of document to read before I arrival. most were repetitious. it did not include the direction how to get there. We arrived after dark. This is an area does not have an adequate cell tower coverage and the the GPS direction was not good. the best part of check in was the security guard. he was magnificent in giving us all the info. the hot shower was intermittent. there were some electrical surges where I was fearful of getting stuck in the elevator. the individual room air conditions did not work well in cooling the rooms. Be aware, I booked this thru Expedia. I got charged by Expedia but later received a bill from Vbro for another property charge. So I ended paying far more than I expected. Since this is the only one available at the time of booking, my option was limited. On the positive side, the property was clean. The view was magnificent. We also able to use the washer and dryer. There were plenty of room for a party of five.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Direct Beach Front. The building sits on top of a large piece of granite jutting out into the ocean. The ground floor is 100 feet above sea level. There is always a breeze on the balcony where you can hear the waves crash hundreds of feet below. If you like to go for a walk you can walk for hours to the right of the property and see no one. It feels like you are shipwrecked on an island. Turn around and you can see waves for miles with a the rainforest as a back drop.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The rainforest is right behind the building. Drive for 15 minutes and you are already in it. I love the beach and watching the surfers.
