The pictures of this property don't do it justice. It's very clean, very comfortable and the view is breathtaking. We had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. Thank you Margie for being so sweet checking us in and answering any questions we had.
Last minute travel to Puerto Rico to visit sick relatives. The condo is in an ideal location just walking distance to the beach... our place for reflection every morning. The owner was attentive... and the check in and check out process easy. The unit was clean and well maintained with a killer view of the beach/ocean. The pool was a nice option to have... especially for evening swims. Would definitely return...
Great apartment on a beautiful beach that is practically private and an amazing place to swim just 200 yds down the beach at MarChiquita. The party and local food vendors at Mar Chiquita on the weekend was fun and sharing it with very few people during the week was awesome. Margie was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. Her place was clean and its outdoor areas and direct access to the beach was great. Highly recommended beach getaway!
Great Seaside Apt
Margie and Lily were very nice. The place is clean and beachy and it has everything we need to make it a good a comfortable stay. Would recommend.
This is a laid back apartment on a quiet beach. Apt is modern, full kitchen. WiFi works well.
Beautiful, quiet beach. The ocean has strong currents but one can swim in Mar Chiquita which is only 300 yards away. Facilities include a modern kitchen but more outlets would be good. WiFi works well. Beds are comfortable and AC works well. The outdoor barbeque uses charcoal so start your fire early. A grocery store a 1/2 mile away is excellent. Get used to narrow roads and drivers that like to tailgate. Also, PR roads are often not in the best repair. Manati, which is the municipality, and Arecibo to the west have all the services needed. Because Manati is quite removed from San Juan, not as many people speak English as one might expect. But everyone helps find someone who knows English. And I got to practice my Spanish.
Away from the apartment and it's router, I often had no Internet and had to turn on roaming. My service is through Verizon.
I found the people to be very friendly. The weather beautiful. I definitely will recommend Margie's apartment and plan to return.
A hidden gem
We typically get houses for the privacy, but we were staying nearby and wanted to extend our trip, and we saw this apartment. It's right on the gorgeous beach to the east of Mar Chiquita. You can sit on the balcony and watch the waves crash, and each of the apartments in the complex has its own walled courtyard with a grill and direct access to the beach. The complex is small, with only four units per building, and it was never fully occupied during our stay, so we had a surprising amount of privacy and quiet during our stay. It's a short walk to Mar Chiquita, which is really neat, but attracts a lot of people. We preferred walking along our beach which was almost always deserted and offered great snorkeling when the water was calm. Just a short distance to the east there's no development and the landscape is stunning. There's also a cool limestone cave just outside the apartment gates and more beaches to the west, if you walk along the rocky cliffs on the shore -- we recommend wearing reef shoes. The apartment itself was very comfortable and safe. The kitchen was plenty big enough for the two of us, and we cooked all of our meals while there (making ample use of the charcoal grill). Margie and Lili were super nice and helpful. We had a great stay!
