Nathan Colmer was extremely responsive with answers to any questions we had regarding our stay. The house was very clean and located only seven houses from the beach in a nice neighborhood. There are many restaurants and stores within walking distance, and we throughly enjoyed our stay. My husband and I hope to rent this home again in September 2019.
Amazing location, house had a layout that was perfect for spending time together without being on top of each other. The owners were responsive, friendly, and extremely helpful for anything we needed! It was a breeze to walk to anything we needed or wanted! We can’t wait for next year!!!
Perfect 2 family rental in the perfect location!
Extremely Dirty Home WAY over priced
Unfortunately the one star is only for the condition of this house. The location and the weather last week were 5 stars. The house was extremely dirty. We called the owner numerous times over the course of the week along with pictures to show him how dirty the house was. He did have the owner of the cleaning company come back twice to dust off the ceiling fans and blinds and actually clean the floors and counters that were left sticky and dirty. The ceiling fans and blinds had coatings of dust on them, under the beds and furniture were dust, crumbs and garbage. We literally tore this place apart ourselves. I did not want to be inconvenienced on my vacation with a cleaning crew. It would have taken them all day to actually clean this house. The owner promised us a gift certificate to our favorite restaurant which never happened, I asked for a partial refund on the rent and he offered us $300! This house is old and needs upgrades the pictures are not what they seem, the furniture is so dirty and underneath the cushions were crumbs and dirt! This house is so over priced for what we had to encounter. I have pictures to prove how dirty this house was, he is a realtor and should be embarrassed by the condition of this home, he obviously did not inspect this home all summer because this place was disgusting. There were dog hairs left all over the bedding in one of the bedrooms. The AC vents were coated in dust and mold! The two bathrooms are so small for a home that accommodates 10 people. The outside shower had left over soaps and shampoos. This house was not cleaned! I have been renting in LBI for over 25 years and have never seen anything like this.
I too am disappointed at the experience of Ms. Plescia as I take great pride in each of my rental properties. This is reflected by my 5 star ratings across the board for each home, including a 5 star rating from the guest who was in the property prior to Ms. Plescia.
Ms. Plescia contacted me about an hour or so after check-in and informed me that she was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the property. I immediately told her I would have my cleaning company come back and clean to her satisfaction. The cleaner arrived less than an hour after she notified me of the situation. The cleaner was instructed to clean until the tenant was happy with the condition of the property, which he did.
Ms. Plescia later informed me of additional cleaning being needed. She sent me several photos of dust, etc that was underneath or behind large sofas, chairs, dressers, etc. that are not able to be moved each and every week for cleaning. The furniture in my rental houses, specifically the sofas and chairs, have slip covers that I periodically change out over the rental season. When doing so we clean behind those larger items. I do not dispute that there was dust, crumbs, etc behind these large items, however, the expectation that each and every piece of furniture be moved and cleaned behind in a summer rental house is both unrealistic and impossible to satisfy. I know of no rental house or cleaning service where this is offered. Far from the floors being as dirty as Ms. Plescia claims, she, "tore the place apart" to find the dust, crumbs, etc that she mentions in her complaint. That being said, I offered to have an entirely different cleaning company come in, which she refused.
I understand that Ms. Plescia was not happy with her experience and it upsets me that I was not able to resolve this matter. That said, I feel she has greatly exaggerated the condition of my home. The photos shown online were taken about 18 months ago. Both bathrooms were gutted to the studs and renovated in April of 2017 and are standard 5x8 bathrooms. As I mention above I take great pride in my rental properties and take them very seriously. If Ms. Plescia's claims were true I would not carry the very high rating that I do (5 stars out of 5 stars on each of my properties) nor would I have as many repeat renters as I have. I did everything I could to resolve the situation and I welcome any prospective tenant to come and inspect this or any of my properties for themselves.

We loved it! Nice spacious rooms, clean, well appointed and a location that can't be beat. We walked to everything. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
119 3rd Street is about 7 houses to the beaches of Long Beach Island and within walking distance of all the attractions in Beach Haven (Fantasy Island is located on 7th Street, Bay Village is on 9th Street, Chicken or the Egg is down the street, etc)
