Villa Buena Vista is a lovely bright villa situated in the urbanization of Cumbre del Sol, Alicante, Costa Blanca, Spain, close to the resorts of Moraira, Calpe and Javea.

The villa is equipped for winter stays, double glazed through out and now has a modern and efficient log burner installed on the upper floor, which keeps the area cozy on a winter's night. The four air conditioners also produce extra heating if needed. In addition, a gas heater is provided on the lower floor.

Our villa has been equipped with a pool heating system. The system allows for the pool to be heated throughout most of the year to around 24-28 C and expands the summer season allowing the use of the pool throughout most of the year during Spring and Autumn. **** Pool heating is offered as an optional extra and it is charged at 200-225 Eur per week from Spring to Autumn. For Winter periods different terms apply. Please email us for more details. Pool heating not offered during Winter. Pool heating needs a minimum ambient temperature of 10 C at all times. If it is lower than 10 C, it will not work. Pool heating needs to be requested minimum of 3 weeks before arrival.

The villa is situated in a picturesque hillside location near Benitachell with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The villa has large windows that are uncommon in most traditional Spanish villas, letting in lots of that lovely Spanish sunlight. The villa is close to well maintained beaches, bars, restaurants, shops and other activities like hiking, water sports and of course, golf courses. For the explorer, the Costa Blanca has plenty to offer. When looking for Spanish villas, go no further, this area is second to none.

VILLA DESCRIPTION

Villa Buena Vista is in a quiet and sunny location 100 yards from the sea with magnificent front line sea views. Well kept area with private heated pool and Jacuzzi. In the off-peak months this is an ideal option to enjoy summer early. Sharing a mountain with fantastic Spanish villas. Two separate living rooms, one of them with fireplace, open plan kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, storage room, open and covered terraces. Each floor has its own access and both areas are linked by an external staircase. For those who wish to surf the net, we have broadband internet access / Wi-Fi (optional). Off-street parking. Car Hire is strongly recommended. Total of 4 aircon systems. Furnished and equipped.

Stunning sea views, dramatic mountain landscapes and the bordering National Parkland and rugged conservation area. Magnificent views include east across the sea to Ibiza, Calpe’s Penon de Ifach and the Montgo. Cumbre del Sol benefits from proximity to the Spanish towns of Moraira, Denia, Calpe and Javea, each with fantastic sandy beaches, marinas and lots of restaurants, this is a sought-after location for those looking for quality and style holiday. There are 4 golf courses within 30 minutes of the Villa - at Javea, Denia, Oliva and Calpe. The World Health Organisation has considered the area to have ‘one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world. The town of Valencia (Spains 3rd city) is just 1 hour away - where the Americas Cup and Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe are hosted.

CUMBRE DEL SOL: Benitachell is the closest village to the Villa and is a typical, mainly agricultural, village with narrow streets and good local bars and restaurants. Those who live there are known as Pobleros.
Benitachell bowling club is located close to the village.
The village is also known for its vineyards.

JAVEA or XABIA: Javea or Xabia, is split into three distinct areas:
There is the Old Town of Javea where you can wander down ancient narrow streets and visit the local market on a Thursday. Built with original Tosca sandstone it's rich in medieval history.
The Gothic fortified church of San Bartolome dominates the centre of Javea's town. This building dates back to the 15th century. At the side of the church is a beautiful building which houses the indoor market where you can buy local fresh produce daily.
The Port of Javea many people's favourite area of Javea, with whitewashed houses surrounding the bay. Watch the fishermen bring in their fresh catches and the sailing boats set off from the marina or eat at the fantastic seafood restaurants.
There are also many good shops, bars and cafes - it's bustling with activity. The Port area of Javea has a real Spanish feel, this is an area where locals live and work in harmony with the tourists. It is a lively bustling area with many shops, cafes.

ARENAL BEACH & MORAIRA: The beach of Javea (ARENAL) The bustling Arenal area is basically the sandy blue flag beach which is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. It's a great place to walk along the promenade in the evening. It's very touristy obviously and is the least Spanish part of Javea but nevertheless it is a crucial part.
During the evening in the summer there are various stalls here selling a variety of handmade crafts. Many of the bars have live music and there are several discotheques.
MORAIRA is a small town within the Teulada municipal district, it is a short 10 minutes drive away from the villa. Originally a tiny fishing village it has changed very little through the years and still remained largely uncommercialised. Moraira has been tastefully planned, and reflects a typical Spanish pueblo style, its marina and sandy beaches compares with the best of the Mediterranean's yachting locations.
Its Marina is impressive; the Teulada Club Nautico de Moraira, boasts mooring for 620 berths.

Amazing stay in an amazing villa

We, as a family with 3 teenagers, spent 2 weeks in the villa and from the start we loved every single minute of it. The view from the villa is absolutely breathtaking! Concerning accomodation you have everything you need. Added to that, Paul and Gema were really nice and were happy to help us out with any questions. The location is also just amazing; in 30 minutes you can walk down to Cala del Moraig, you can do the adventurous hike down to Cala de los tiestos and other incredible hiking trails. We also visited cities like Alicante, Javea and Valencia and did activities like scubadiving. I can only summarize that it was an awesome vacation, lots of fun, and that we can only recommend it! A disappointing start to our visit , we were greeted by 2 large diggers resting about 20 metres from front door of villa . Had been warned that neighbours were having some work done, but were told the big machines should be gone by 26th May . I’m afraid those diggers got to work snd became the backdrop of our stay, and soon joined by others round the corner . The noise was horrendous the villa is tired snd there were a number of issues the owner had to deal with. In our opinion this villa is not suitable for children or vulnerable adults . Strongly advise the need for a car for shopping and any beach visits. A hugely built up urbanisation with nothing to offer

Ok but not quite what we expected

The area was beautiful but the villa was much smaller than we expected . The pictures were a bit deceiving . The beds were extremely uncomfortable , we had to double up the mattresses to be able to sleep on them. The water pressure was also terrible . If there was more than one faucet running at a time there would be virtually no water just drips out of the tap or shower . When we arrived at the villa after our flight from Toronto and our train ride from Madrid and our drive from Alicante we were tired and then we found that there was absolutely no toilet paper in either of the washroooms . I think for the substantial amount we payed they could leave us a couple of rolls until we found our way to a store . These are all fairly minor things but all together with the price we payed we expected a little more . All in all we had a great vacation and will definitely be back to Spain .

Nous avons passé 7 jours de vacances dans cette magnifique maison avec piscine , climatisé et complete concernant les equipements . les enfants ont adoré na ger dans la piscine suffisamen grande et profonde , les adultes ont apprécié le jacuzzi. Le gros point fort de la maison est la vue de la terrasse ou la piscine qui est juste incroyable . Se lever le matin avec une vue pareil est juste comme dans un rêve . La region aussi est superbe , la maison est situé en voiture pas loin de plages , villes tres interessantes à visiter . Je recommande vivement à tout le monde .

Don’t go any further; you have found what you need

Paul’s villa is clean, tidy but most of all, has everything you need to enjoy a great holiday. We were a party of 7 and the accommodation is more than adequate for this number. Forget bringing the kettle (brits!) or hairdryers; it’s all here. The pool is perfect and can be heated if the weathers not quite here yet. The balcony is sublime to watch the sunset and sunrise and for a perfect barbecue. The view I could sit and watch all day and has helped us all unwind from the normal hustle and bustle. There’s a great supermarket nearby with everything you need; no need to go further afield. Comms with Paul the owner and Sara have been first class and both have been helpful in terms of arrivals and departures and even directions on the day. Book it; you won’t regret it; we hope to be back again.

Very nice !

We had a very nice holiday. The house was very nice, the pool was perfect and the weather was good. The house had everything you would need for a holiday. We were especially pleased about the beds. We slept really well in the downstairs master bedroom, which isn't always the case when we are away from home. Also my daughter (15 yo) and her Nan slept well in the upstairs bedrooms and enjoyed their stay. Though, the car was needed while staying at the house. There isn't really anything in walking distance. We went on the Cala Moraig beach which is a pebble beach. Very beautiful though, but when we had found our spot on the beach and sat down on our towels ... we suddenly noticed that everybody was naked around us ! We were so busy to look at our feet and to where to walk that we didn't notice it right away. There were no signs but it seems it's a beach for German naturists. However, we went on to Javea. There the beach really lovely. It's one of the best beaches I have ever been to and the water was lovely for swimming. We went there almost every day. We tried Moraira, but Javea is nicer. We were allowed to take our dog to all restaurants and cafés. They even brought her a bowl of water as soon as we arrived. Later on during our holiday we discovered that the caves at Cala Moraig are worth exploring, just by climbing as we didn't bring any diving equipment. Many people are diving in the caves there. We went for walks on the path which begins near the entrance of the village. The views were nice but everything was black and burnt down on the sides of the path. We all enjoyed our holiday. a great villa in a quiet area on the mountains

a beautiful villa for 2 families or 8 friends. the view was great. when you look down you see the sea. you need a car for going out because the supermarket is 5 min from the villa then. We rent this villa because a year before we rent also a villa from this owners in Valencia but the hospitality and service was more then good. a great idea from the owners is that the have a heating pool that you can rent . Stunning sea view worth the price alone

The villa owners, Paul and Gema, accommodated us at very short notice which we much appreciated. Pietro the villa manager was very friendly and helpful and showed us how to work the electronics with the two televisions. The villa has the most beautiful view of the sea which is quite hypnotic. It was clean and well maintained, though the sofa in the downstairs living room looks a bit battered, and the bed in the upstairs main bedroom could probably do with being replaced. It's a shame there was no air con or fans in the downstairs bedrooms, not that we needed to use them, but I imagine they would be useful in the hottest months. However we would recommend this villa for the views alone. The kitchen was compact but fine. There was a nice pool area and covered terrace with BBQ that gets the sun until 4pm ish. We also found the downstairs utility room very useful as we needed to urgently wash clothes. The utility room also had a large supply of pool toys/floats etc, which would keep kids entertained for hours! The villa is in a busy urbanisation but because you are at the end of a road, it doesn't feel too hemmed in. You are a bit overlooked but would have to expect that on an urbanisation. Even though there are lots of properties there, it was nice and peaceful. There's a supermarket and pharmacy on the urbanisation which were v useful, and stunning views of the coastline on the higher roads. Would definitely recommend the beach at the urbanisation. It's accessed by a steep road and is v popular with limited parking, so get there early. It's lovely and has two bars/restaurants. We also love the towns of Javea and Moraira, so much that we are now considering a trial run at living in the area!

Just amazing!

This lovely villa was perfect for us to get a little timeout. Location is great and what of view! Sunrises were stunning. This was the first time we did book something else than a hotel room and Paul made it very easy. Villa was clean and well-maintained and heated pool was great. Special thanks to Nicole & Pietro who were there to welcome us. They did help us with everything, even with postcards ;) Would recommend this villa to everyone! Especially to you who likes to spend time in quiet & relaxing neighborhood.

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Country

Our stay at Paul and Gema's villa could not have been better. More than enough room for our family of 6 and the pool was a hit with both adults and kids. Location was removed from busy roads but close to shopping and restaurants in the nearby town of Javea. Plenty of opportunities for activity including hiking, swimming, climbing and snorkelling. However, the nearby beaches are also very nice for relaxing in the sun, which was kind enough to shine for the duration of our trip. Incredible weather. Kitchen was well appointed and the barbecue was a great bonus. We were promptly met at arrival and the villa was clean and comfortable. The welcome package was also greatly appreciated. Communication with Paul and Gema was first rate and all our questions were promptly answered. Thanks again!

Beautiful views, fantastic location, lovely owners

The villa was in a perfect location for relaxation and seclusion. It was quiet, well-appointed and had stunning views. We got lots of great use out of the BBQ as there is a farmers market in every village nearby! Great place to be if you want to do day-trips around the area, or if you just want to relax and enjoy sunshine and quiet. Paul and Gema were fabulous hosts! Go visit the Pedreguer flea market on Saturday for some unique items and bargains.

Flew over to Spain for some Winter sun. Stayed in the villa with my wife and kids (six of us in total). Had a great stay. Villa is is very comfortable with stunning views. It is very peaceful though would be busier in season. Shop for grocery is about 5 min away and Xabia and Moraira are about 15 min away. A car is essential.

Stay at Buena Vista

Arrived Late January for a winter break with my family of five. The house was comfortable and the log-burner made for a cosy winter stay. We did a lot of walking on the local routes and explored local villages. We loved the area and each day was a new adventure. Food great, lots of things to do. All in all great holiday with a touch of luxury. TV downstairs was Spanish but there was English TV upstairs. There is also a large film library with lots recent movies. The views are spectacular. I will book again

a great family holiday well worth the experiance

the villa in in an excellent location with extensive views of the med and excellent surroundings,the villa itself was well maintained extensively cleaned for our arrival!the pool was superb and well cleaned during our stay!the villa itself had everything a home should have there was nothing we needed! the villa is in a beautiful part of spain,we travelled to moraira and javea which both were only 10 minutes drive we found these places to be superb with great beacheswe also went to terra mitica theme park which took only 45 minutes and was great!also don't worry about food as there is an iceland at bennissa and plenty of english eateries inc fish and chips steaks etc and some nice indian restaraunts all in all a superb holiday will certainly be returning sooner rather than later!

A big thank you to the Owners for making our stay at the Villa Buena Vista so easy and delightful! We all had a truly amazing holiday. The villa itself was well maintained and spacious for our party of six. The view from the pool was fantastic, with clear views out to the sea. We enjoyed spending most of our days relaxing by the pool in the baking hot sun with a cocktail in hand! We spent a day in nearby Moraira which was very quaint and charming. Another day we visted Javea and walked along the beautiful beach. Both places were only a short drive from the villa and had a real Spanish-feel about them. Villa Buena Vista is highly recommended to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday in addition to the most stunning scenery. A perfect villa in a perfect location; it was everything we could have hoped for!!

We were looking for that kind of Greek sea but in Spain and we found this beautiful coastal area between Javea and Moraira. Mountain views, quiet and relaxing and away from the noisy villages but still with all the necessary amenities nearby. Perfect!
