This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "We are at a loss in understanding this review as we would never leave unaddressed any problem our guests honestly encountered. Had it been communicated to us in the slightest by a guest in residence that someone screwed up this badly, creating this sort of dissatisfaction we would have certainly not only refunded the cleaning costs but would have had the house recleaned and re-sanitized to the guest’s satisfaction. A full refund would not have been out of the question. But we can assure you that our housekeeper did a thorough cleaning of the property before the stay and that they would never have left a dirty stove, countertops, or leftovers in a dirty refrigerator. We also followed up to make sure there was no chance that the cleaners missed garbage on the porch, or dust bunnies under the bed, and double-checked that the washer works properly (it does) and the walls are pristine white as pictured."

They have assured us that, while the cleaning was rushed to accommodate your last-minute request for a very early check-in, the home was thoroughly cleaned and inspected by the homeowner prior to your arrival. The homeowner was taken aback by your negative remarks; he was under the impression you were pleased since you had asked him if all the chalets in Tahoe were as beautiful and, furthermore, he felt he had made clear to you that every effort would be made to make your stay enjoyable especially if you had conveyed any displeasure which you did not do while in residence. He was equally perplexed by your functional complaints as the high-quality kitchen comes fully equipped for a full service for 8 guests. Hello Emily, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the elegant ambiance we strive to provide for you and all our guests. To that end, the house is of equipped with some soundproofed technologies. Since your stay, we recognized the convenience of the parkway presented us with an opportunity to enhance the outdoor environment. We have installed a six foot sound barrier fence complete with a sound-scape masking audio system will provide visual and acoustic privacy as well as the exclusivity of a gated property.
