About James M Campbell

As a 2004 retiree, I needed something to do to occupy my time. Since I was originally born in Tennessee and owned several acres on the Cumberland Plateau, it seemed only natural that I would eventually find myself back there. Renting vacation cabins came purely as a coincidence since I wound up with more cabins than I could use after buying out and 'ol Navy buddy.

I enjoy meeting and talking to all kinds of people and this seemed to be the perfect venue for that passion.

James M Campbell purchased this cabin in 2008

Why James M Campbell chose Middle

While traveling from Georgia to Kentucky we crossed the beautiful Cumberland Plateau many times. Each time we would comment on how great it would be to own property there someday and to thoroughly enjoy the area, especially Fall Creek Falls State Park.

What makes this cabin unique

The beauty and serenity of the area provides a great place to sit back and relax away from the hustle and bustle. The added joy of having the beauty of Fall Creek Falls so close by is just a bonus.

Sitting on your porch and watching the area wildlife come and go is a real treat.

Peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were fortunate enough to stay here for a week in August. We were looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay while exploring the surrounding parks and we found it here. There was more than enough room for a family of six. My oldest son enjoyed sleeping in the loft which looks over the kitchen and living spaces. We had plenty of room to eat and play games at the dining table and we loved sitting out in the covered porch area that looks over the wooded ravine. There are several short and pleasant trails that walk through the woods and past the other cabins which are easy to walk and were lined with ferns. The owner is very friendly and lives not far away. We look forward to coming back again!

The property is well kept . Loved the swings and, even though we didn't use it on this visit, we liked the fire pit.

Cozy and semi secluded

  • 4 of 5

The cabin itself was very nice. It was exactly what was pictured. It was perfect for our stay. I wasn't expecting to have neighbors but it wasn't a problem. The location is 30 minutes from a decent town and at least an hour from a major town. Only negative I have about the cabin are the beds. The king was too firm might as well slept on the floor and the queen had no foundation support so you slept in a crater.

As always it was wonderful, that's why we come back!!!

Thank you, Jim you are always very helpful and Sheryl is an awesome person with great stories. The cabins are well stocked and very clean. We stayed this time for my daughters birthday, she had a few friends, my best friend and her son came for a couple of nights we had a blast.

The cabins are secluded, very well maintained. We enjoyed the screened in porch nod the fire pit. And that fact it is so close to the park, it's perfect!!!
