This fully remodeled 4BR 2BA Lake Forest Glen condo has set up with a relaxing vacation in mind. It is decorated in Tahoe style, with log furniture and pine trim. It sleeps 10 with 3 queen beds and 4 twin beds and is great for groups, family, or two families sharing.
The kitchen is equipped with high end Stainless steel appliances, granite tile counters, ice/water in fridge, and all the items you could want for cooking gourmet meals. The kitchen opens into the living area with a breakfast bar, so nobody will miss out when in the kitchen!
The comfortable Living room has a 40' LED LCD TV, HD Cable, Blue-Ray DVD and stereo system. There are games and books available as well. There is also a brand new gas fireplace insert that does a great job of warming up the living room while adding a nice ambiance.
There is a dinning table that easily expands form seating 4 to seating 8. 4 more can sit at the breakfast bar.
There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed. There is also a full bath with large shower downstairs.
Upstairs has a full bath with tub/shower and three bedrooms. One room has two twin beds. The second room has a queen bed with twin loft over it (opposite orientation from typical bunk beds, see picture). The third room is the largest and has a queen bed and twin bed. All rooms have large closets and a dresser to put your things away.
There is a second TV, 32' LCD and DVD player in the large bedroom upstairs.
There is a deck off the back (by living room) that face south and gets great sun all day long. The deck has a table with umbrella, chairs, and some adirondack chairs for lounging (spring through fall only). There is also a Weber gas BBQ for grilling great meals (year round)! The sunny deck is great for sitting in the warm sun on cool mornings and enjoying your coffee.
High speed wireless internet is provided High speed Cable broadband and WIFI router. Plenty fast enough to stream Netflix, etc. Also a landline phone is provided for local calls. most cell service works in the area (AT&T has great service in the unit).
The unit is by the rear Bristlecone st exit and is a close walk to the lake at Lake Forest beach or Skylandia Park. The bike bath is also very close and Tahoe city is about 1.5 miles away door to door.
This unit is good for someone who had trouble with stairs as well as the first floor is at ground level and only a few feet from your car with parking in front (only one small step) and there is a bedroom and bathroom at ground level.
The complex has great amenities: Two pools (adult only and family), hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and playground) and is close to many great outdoor spots in Lake Tahoe.
Everything you need is included, linens, supplies, etc. Just bring your clothes and food!

About Mike Straus
We grew up spending our summers on lakes (in Michigan and New Jersey) and wanted to have that same experience for our future family here in California. Currently residents in Marin County after having formally lived in San Francisco, we wanted to have our lake experience here and Lake Tahoe was a natural fit as we have enjoyed in in summers and winters for years since we each moved to California.

Why Mike Straus chose Dollar Point
It was important for use to have a place on a lake as we both spent our summers with lake living growing up, and we love Tahoe for Skiing in the winter and all the great outdoor activities in the summer. We wanted to be in North Lake Tahoe as we both loved Tahoe City and all the North shore has to offer. We wanted to be close to Tahoe City (within biking distance) and near both the Lake and bike path. We found this great unit in Lake Forest Glen and not only was it close to Tahoe City and the lake, but this unit was near the back Bristlecone st exit making it easy to hop on a bike to the bike path or walk to the lake at Lake Forest Beach or the great hidden gem of Skylandia Park. We also loved the great remodel and mountain cabin theme inside and the south facing deck with plenty of sun all day long! We love staying here and we hope you will too!
What makes this Townhome unique
The south facing deck gets lots of sun all day and is a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Inside the pine trim and log furniture give it a truly Tahoe feeling! Gas fireplace makes livingroom warm and inviting.

My family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas as this rental! Pleanty of supplies for preparing large family meals. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate our group of 9 (4 adults/5 kids) for a week. Tahoe City proximity was also a huge plus! Also, the owner was very responsive and immediately answered questions. I would definitely stay here again!
Great location for families
My family really enjoyed their selves they got to play with snow right outside the door ... this was the whole reason we came was for our family to enjoy the snow
Meet our expectation and beyond
We stayed 3 nights at Mike's property and were very happy and satisfied with this lodging. The property is clean, organized and the kitchen is well equipped for our needs. The location is convenient for our trip and Mike is very responsible for my questions. I would recommend this vacation home to all Tahoe travelers.
This townhome housed our 4 generation family vacation perfectly with plenty of space inside and out for the comfort of all. The unit was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with more dishes, flatware, pots and pans (with lids), tupperware (with lids), every piece of equipment imaginable and a large selection of spices and cooking staples. The linens were fresh and appeared new. The master bed upstairs was extremely comfortable as was the positive feedback I got from other family members. The fans provided and the windows that opened were all we needed to sleep well.
The complex was clean and quiet. We used the pools daily. The location was so convenient to the grocery store , the lake, kayak rentals and the surrounding quaint little towns with plenty of restaurants and shops.
The Owner Mike was prompt and helpful in returning our phone text about how to access the pools. All the keys and instructions were there, we just overlooked it.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to relax and enjoy Lake Tahoe. Thank you Donna and Rick!

Great location near the pools and a lovely walk to the lake. This home is exceptionally eqipped with everything you need. The kitchen is a joy to work in as it has every utensil and appliance
you need to cook gourmet meals. The beds are comfortable and the deck is nice. We loved our week here.
Nice kitchen in unit. For a two week stay we would have liked a shelf in one of the closets for dry food storage; also there was a shortage of kitchen towels and hand towels in bathrooms ... the white binder told us towels and sheets were in linen closet upstairs. Maybe that was one of the locked rooms?
A few hand towels seems like a basic amenity. A mirror or two would've been nice for checking our look before evenings out.
BIG disappointment was NO tennis courts which was one of the reasons we chose this place. In addition to them being worked on throughout our stay, we had the constant noise of trucks doing the court repairs. We would've like to have known ahead of time that there would be no tennis courts for us – We had to use our friends facilities at dollar point .
The back porch of the unit was open to the road. Photos did not show the large gap in the fence. Dogs wandered in and out and with cars constantly going by it didn't feel private. Table umbrella was quite small.
I am disappointed this guest decided to write this review like this and do not feel it is an accurate representation, and other guest reviews support this. This renter failed to check out on their last day, and when contacted at 1PM on the day of checkout was rude and insisted they had an extra day, despite all inquiries and reservations clearly having the 11th as the checkout day. I normally would have gladly extended a day, but it was not possible with another guest checking in that afternoon. This renter seemed to be having a nice stay till the day of checkout and only contacted me once. This renter was clearly angry about this and decided to write a bad review vs trying to work out any concerns with me. Had they contacted me prior I could have tried to accommodate any concerns.
There should have been some extra hand towels in the downstairs closet and kitchen towels in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we recently had to lock the upstairs linen closet due to some past guests using to many towels or towels disappearing and wanting to make sure we always have clean linens for the next guest. We do try to leave some extras in an accessible closet and I will make sure we leave out more hand and kitchen towels, buying additional ones if needed. Had they contacted I could have gotten them extra towels.
The tennis courts were unfortunately closed for repairs, and the HOA does not give us notice for the timing of these repairs, so I was unaware it would be at this time. Had this been a concern and they contacted me we could have discussed compensation for the inconvenience. There is a wide cabinet entirely for food storage, and while there are usually some staples and food left from previous guests in it there should have been plenty of room to store food.
North Lake Tahoe is a must go destination. This property is 1.6 miles from Tahoe city (right along a great bike path), which is home to a number of great restaurants, bars and shops. The Lake and a couple great beaches are a short walk, bike or drive in the Lake Forest/Tahoe city area. Great mountain biking and hiking are a short distance away. The Condo complex has great amenities and tons to do in the area!
