This is a well equipped, very comfortable lodging. The kitchen appliances are new. The beds are very comfortable. The location is great, close to the beach and close to downtown Tahoe City. The swimming pool was lovely also.
We had a wonderful stay. This is our second time at this VRBO rental and we love it! One of my granddaughter's spent a lot of time in the pool! Others enjoyed the beach and hot tub.
We enjoyed our week-long stay in this comfortable, clean and spacious home! The kitchen is incredibly well supplied and grilling on the deck was wonderful. Thank you again for another wonderful stay!
We had a very enjoyable stay! The kitchen was well- stocked and we were able to cook some great dinners using the grill outside! The kids loved the pool, and we liked hanging out and watching TV in the living room. It felt very homey. We liked the local coffee shops and restaurants, and the proximity to the beach. The last night we were there we spotted a bear in the neighborhood and got a cool video.
We had a great stay. The location was wonderful and the set up for 2 families was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked. It is quiet at night, so be sure to recognize the quiet hours.
Great location with very good amenities. We enjoyed playing pickleball on the premises as well as the pool and hot tub. We also took advantage of the short walk down to Lake Forest beach.
The kitchen is well equiped with everything we needed.
My family stayed here with another family, and we loved it! Great location and roomy place. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking (except we never found any pitchers for drinks). The kids loved walking down to the lake which was very close. We will definitely stay again when gong to Tahoe!
We enjoyed ourselves at this wonderfully located condo. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was very well supplied with anything that might be needed. The living area was slightly smaller than it appeared, but overall our stay was fantastic and the condo worked very well for us.
Conveniently located near many Tahoe activities. Unit was easy to check in and fit our needs perfectly. Well-appointed kitchen allowed for easy meal prep and clean up. Mike was easy to work with when there was a minor issue once we checked it and quick to make everything right.
We have stayed at Lake Forest many times and really love it. The location and amenities are great. This condo was terrific and well set up for a large group. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive. The kitchen is particularly well stocked which was really appreciated. We would love to come back!
The lay out of the property was great , it was not a big change from our family loved it . Everything was nice neat

About the host
Hosted by Mike Straus
We grew up spending our summers on lakes (in Michigan and New Jersey) and wanted to have that same experience for our future family here in California. Currently residents in Marin County after having formally lived in San Francisco, we wanted to have our lake experience here and Lake Tahoe was a natural fit as we have enjoyed in in summers and winters for years since we each moved to California.
Why they chose this property
It was important for use to have a place on a lake as we both spent our summers with lake living growing up, and we love Tahoe for Skiing in the winter and all the great outdoor activities in the summer. We wanted to be in North Lake Tahoe as we both loved Tahoe City and all the North shore has to offer. We wanted to be close to Tahoe City (within biking distance) and near both the Lake and bike path.
We found this great unit in Lake Forest Glen and not only was it close to Tahoe City and the lake, but this unit was near the back Bristlecone st exit making it easy to hop on a bike to the bike path or walk to the lake at Lake Forest Beach or the great hidden gem of Skylandia Park. We also loved the great remodel and mountain cabin theme inside and the south facing deck with plenty of sun all day long! We love staying here and we hope you will too!
What makes this property unique
The south facing deck gets lots of sun all day and is a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Inside the pine trim and log furniture give it a truly Tahoe feeling! Gas fireplace makes livingroom warm and inviting.
