The home has been tastefully renovated to provide opened, airy living/dining room/ kitchen areas with hard wood floors and an interesting collection of low country original Gullah folk art.
The fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances including ceramic cook top, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. The pantry is fully stocked with basic ingredients including seasonings and spices. A small herb garden contains basic herbs and a gas grill is also on the grounds.
The master bedroom has a queen size pillow top bed, an on-suite full bathroom, a large walk in closet and fabulous marsh views. Waking up to the sunrise is the joy of sleeping in this bedroom.
One of the guest bedrooms has a queen size pillow top bed and the other has two twin beds. These two rooms share a second full guest bathroom.
The Carolina room is fully enclosed, gets lovely summer breezes and has 180 degree views of the creeks and marsh. We have several sets of binoculars and bird books for your bird watching pleasure.
You'll love reading, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and having 'docktails' on our great dock. You will see the dolphins swim, play, and fish in the creek.. it's fun to watch or you could join in the swimming.
This home is situated on a quiet street four miles from a major supermarket and other amenities. We are just five miles from downtown Beaufort and minutes from Parris Island. The town of Beaufort is steeped in Civil War history and pre-Civil War architecture. Beautiful Ante Bellum mansions grace avenues along the Beaufort River. The Beaufort River is also home to The Beaufort Water Festival where 50,000 + boats congregate on the Beaufort sandbar for two weeks in July for some sun, fun & lots more. Enjoy the boat during the day & the Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort at night. There will be everything from 'Motown Monday' concerts to Headliner music stars for weekend concerts. Soak up some sun or some history on a carriage ride through town and the Old Point. See several sites where movies have been filmed, shop along Bay Street, visit the numerous art galleries and antique shops, and dine in some of the many excellent local restaurants. Whatever your pleasure is, you can bring your boat that can be docked at our private dock in the backyard. You can tour Beaufort by the way of your boat or just explore the waters & islands connected without any car traffic...Just yield for the other boaters! There is so much to do in Beaufort, It's hard to pick just one activity!!
Just twenty minutes away is Hunting Island State Park with three miles of wide pristine beaches - voted 7th of the top 25 beaches in the US by Travelers Choice. There are also walking and bike trails through the forest near the lagoon. Climb the lighthouse and look for dolphins, pelicans and bald eagles- they are there! You might also want to stop on the way home from the beach and buy some freshly caught fish or shrimp right where the shrimp boats come in!
There are three fine public golf courses and several tennis courts within 15 minutes of the house.
**Enjoy all of this for $200 per night or $1400 per week. Weekly rate includes cleaning fee. Calender is kept on this website & is up to date

About Eleanor (Terry) Coyne
We owners, weary of grey Pennsylvania winters, were looking for a southern location near beaches, nature, golf, tennis, and sun. To our delight, we found beautiful Beaufort – a diverse community, steeped in history, architecture, nature and more. Beaufort more that fit our requirements.
Why Eleanor (Terry) Coyne chose Ladys Island
We have spectacular views of creeks and miles of marsh- which changes by the hour and colors change by the season, gorgeous sunrises and soft shadows at sunset. We watch a pair of osprey rearing their family just near our dock and wait for the slight “whoosh” that signals dolphins swimming in creek.
What makes this House unique
Gorgeous views.. amazing dock.. fishing, crabbing, shrimping, etc. right from dock.. wonderful wildlife.. close to beaches, shopping, sightseeing, golfing, tennis, farmers markets, and many other fabulous things... Bring your boat, dock on our private dock & explore beautiful Beaufort in your boat. No landing traffic!!

If you go to Beaufort, SC, stay in this house!
My husband and I went to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and it was just delightful. The house has a wonderful glassed-in patio area that allowed us to enjoy all the wildlife (nesting ospreys, squirrels, bluebirds, cardinals, and other) even on the two days that it rained. We went fishing and crabbing down on the dock and enjoyed the covered area for a cocktail or two! In addition, the house was close enough to downtown Beaufort to enjoy all the restaurants and beauty of that old town, walk down Bay Street, see many of the old houses and locations of movies. We were also very quickly able to get to Hunting Island State Park to enjoy the ocean, as well as climb the lighthouse for a wonderful view. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had, and the comfort of all aspects of the house was certainly the reason. We will return!!!!
Thank you so much for your very nice review. And also thank you for helping us with 'maintenance issues' such as our goofy irrigation system . We appreciate your help.
You have mentioned all the things that our family so much loves when we get to stay in our home on Lady's Island -- the birds and wildlife, fishing and cocktails on the dock, the beach and the charming town of Beaufort. Come back soon!!
Wonderful kitchen every thing you need. Owner very friendly and was great to work with.
a great place to stay!
The house is lovely and very open. The street is quiet - with squirrels and deer all over the place.
It is stocked very well and the kitchen is amazing.
HVAC works great, the house is clean and we had everything we needed. There is even a new gas grill which made cooking easy!
The view of the marsh is simply breathtaking.
The creek is super quiet and there is little boat traffic. The dock is great and the water at the dock is DEEP. We caught crabs and even a couple of bass from the dock!
If there any any things to be aware of - the driveway is circular and parking the boat trailer (we brought a 25' boat) and then getting the truck out of the driveway.... it is a little tight, but it is doable. Another note - don't use the long circular creek that the map shows coming to the house... use the cut from the river straight into the lagoon. Your nav chart is not going to show this - you have to see it and figure it out. The creek has no water at low tide and the cut has 3-4' minimum at low tide. If you come and go at low tide - just be cautious where the cut empties into the lagoon, there is a crest there that does not have much water.
Great location, close access to big water, easy access by boat to Beaufort - it is a great place to stay!
We are already looking forward to 2018 and this house will always be at or near the top of our list!

Fantastic home and location
Such a wonderful getaway. The home is comfortable, stocked with every amenity one might need, and situated in the most beautiful setting in the low country. Perfect for making casual family dinners with room for multiple cooks, the house is steps away from the dock. As others have mentioned, hanging out on the dock was the highlight of our trip, but Beaufort also has so many things to offer. Our hosts were the best and kept us fully apprised of the "extras" like the kayak (must do!) and the free pass to Hunting Island State Park. Loved it!!
We are so happy that you had such an enjoyable time on Lady's Island. You found all the things we loved to do - kayaking, cooking up fresh seafood, the beach at Hunting island, all the sights and things to do in Beaufort - but really - the best is just sitting on that dock watching the creek go by (and all the birds and dolphins).
This was our second visit to the rental. Our stay here was just as lovely as the first time we visited back in 2016. If there's one thing I would change about our vacation here it would be....absolutely nothing!!! Only wish we could've stayed longer! :)
We certainly enjoyed having you as a guest again this year. So glad you had a nice time despite the rain! And thank again for watering our new Lemon Tree! your a peach!
great property, wonderful views, good location
We rented the house for a week with my European relatives. Enjoyed being together in this cozy house with all amenities. Great views, morning coffee on the dock will be missed. Thanks to wonderful owners.
thank you to a very nice friend and neighbor - for suggesting our home to your European guests. So glad they had an enjoyable time and a happy family reunion. And yes, coffee and/or cocktails on the dock are not to be missed! Come back again.
