Amazing Family Lake Wallenpaupack Lakefront with Dock

Amazing family home available for your family to enjoy! Lake views from everywhere you look and much activity to see on this open northern part of Lake Wallenpaupack with views of Epply Island. Relax on the waterfront deck where you can swim and dock your boat (bring your own boat or daily / weekly rentals also available from marina next door)! The main deck is a large and accommodating place to gather with outdoor dining, grill, and seating for 12. And the main house provides an open floor plan including the dining / kitchen / living room combo which spans the main floor and overlooks the lake with a wall of lakeside windows. Large granite and stainless-steel kitchen, with island, allows the whole family to gather together in the main house while second floor bedrooms and the cottage provides ample space and privacy for all. Sunsets (across the lake) are a nightly sight to see.

The rental includes the entire property: Main house is 4 bedroom, 2 full bath house (sleeps 8) and the cottage (sleeps 4). The main house offers an open floor plan with a full bathroom on main level (easy to rinse off after the lake) and bedrooms / full bathroom on the second level; washer / dryer included and central air throughout. Modern kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes / silverware, appliances (microwave, 2 coffee machines, toaster, crockpot). An additional lower-level family room in basement offers a small play area and access to the lake! The cottage provides extra space and extra functionality and includes a small kitchen, living room, sleeping loft, private bedroom (with window unit A/C), full bath, small washer/dryer & stone patio. High speed internet/Wi-Fi for both houses and TVs (with Roku) and plenty of games, puzzles, cards for indoor entrainment and friendly family challenges. (Please note there are stairs required at this property from the driveway to the cottage and main house and to the lake).

There are so many things to do in the area - from water sports to hiking to anything in between. Located on the 507 side of the lake ā€“ with nearby grocery stores, restaurants, pizza places, marinas and activities for kids including Costaā€™s, Fairview mini-golf, and 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream at the Dairy Twist. This house is a great set up for multi-generation families (noting the stairs may not be suitable for all ages) and is available for family groups only please!! It is a family home so no parties, no smoking, no pets. There are security cameras onsite for the exterior protection of the property / lakefront.

We had an amazing week. The views from the decks were incredible and the sunsets were priceless. The house and cottage were clean and well equipped with everything we needed. I would just say to the owners that you should change the description on Vrbo to say that linens and towels are NOT included. When we booked, it stated linens and towels were included. About 2 months prior to our stay, I received an email asking if I wanted to purchase the linen package for 350. When I provided a screenshot stating that linens were included, I was still charged the 350 additional fee.

Summer vacation with the extended family

This was my family's first vacation in the Poconos and we really enjoyed this property. It was clean, great location, check-in was easy, and was perfect for a family of 11 (8 adults, 3 children), including a set of grandparents and small children. We would definitely come back!

Best week ever

Beautiful house with incredible views and everything a group could need! I must say we took full advantage of all the amenities from multiple decks, private dock and easy access to swimming/fishing, solid grill and outside dining, large kitchen, etc. Super quiet with lots of fun wild life. The owners have amazing taste. This was my familyā€™s first time vacationing and a group, and also on a lake and it will now be a tradition because this was the best week ever!

Fabulous Wallenpaupack Stay

Our stay at this home was outstanding in just about every way possible. The home shows as well in person as on the VRBO site. It is reasonably spacious, well appointed and has just about everything you want/need in a rental. Great kitchen with plenty of cooking prep space on a huge island. Beds were comfortable. AC works well. Wifi was strong. The cottage provides a nice separate space which is ideal for a family of 4-5. But the best part of this home are the various decks and the stunning lake views they provide. The home's setting on Eastern shore makes for it perfect for sunsets, and we were lucky enough to catch great several great ones. Views from inside the house were pretty awesome as well. Everyone wanted to sit on the side of the long dining room table that faces the lake. Swimming and floating off of the deck was very nice. Abby was responsive before and during the stay - made everything very easy. There aren't many negatives - you need to be ready to walk some stairs, but that's true with most of the lake. There will be bugs and spiders out on the decks, but mosquitos were not an issue. Great spot - good value. We intend to return.

Gorgeous Setting!

This property was everything we expected and more. We had two families of older teens/adults, and the cottage was perfect for one of the families, the house for shared meals and hanging out. The main living space is quite large, and the view from there (and 3 of the bedrooms) is spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice. We enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces. The deck closest to the lake was the favorite, though. You could hear the waves lapping on the rocks, and it was so serene. Great sunsets, too! Overall, this was a perfect setting for gathering loved ones, recharging, and water activities. The owners and management were great, and we would definitely come back again.

Beautiful location, clean and spacious home

Our family enjoyed our week at the lake! It was a perfect house for a large group, four kids aged 4-7, four parents and two grandparents. The house was very clean and well equipped, we loved the views of the lake from multiple decks and privacy. It was a short drive to grocery stores and many fun family friendly activities, including a boat tour of the lake, theme park, nature center, short hikes and a fun day trip to the Steamtown national historic site in Scranton. We're glad we brought our life jackets for the kids as the lake is 20 feet deep off the dock. There is a beach that's close by with very shallow water (deepest area is maybe 3 ft deep), but it was murky so the kids just played in the sand. You cannot use the fireplaces pictured for insurance reasons so don't buy s'more stuff. There was a gas fire that you can use for ambiance. There are no boats that come with this property and couldn't find a place to rent canoes on this lake, but if you have someone in your family born prior to 1982 with boating experience you can rent a pontoon boat by the hour which we did and the family enjoyed. Internet worked well in both the main house and the cottage. Bring binoculars as we had fun spotting the bald eagle and numerous deer, chipmunks and foxes!

Perfect Houses

We absolutely loved our Lake Wally What vacation this year! The dock was so perfect for our boat and to fish from, and the main house was spacious enough for our family of 12 to hang out. Our family in their 20s loved staying in the cottage - a deer came right up to them and ate from their hand right outside. This was truly an incredible trip and an incredible property. I have absolutely no complaints and will consider them again for future lake trips for our large group. Oh, and excellent communication from the property manager, Abby. Thanks for making things so easy for us! Have a great summer.

Magical family vacation for 3 generations

What a beautiful property! Owners have thought of every detail. So kind of them to share this magical home with other families. Steps were expected and required caution but were a good workout. The separate cottage was lovely and perfect for a quiet Grandparent retreat. Property is located on the main part of lake so does get a lot of action and water can be rough. Views were incredible with magical sunsets. Eagle nesting nearby and frequently soaring overhead. Parking was great for our 3 cars but could not accommodate the boat trailer (maybe could have worked for a smaller sized trailer). We had pre arranged trailer storage at a local boat yard. Host was very responsive to any concerns. Would happily rent this gorgeous lakefront property again!!

Family Trip

The house was well-appointed, nicely decorated and very clean with great sunsets. Steps were a little too much for some of us. The inability to use the outdoor fireplace was unexpected and disappointing. We made good use of the cottage for the little ones who rose early. Overall we had a great time.

Incomparable!

We have all been absolutely spoiled after a week at this amazing home! I haven't seen other homes at Lake Wallenpaupak, but it's hard to imagine there are many (any?) that are as beautiful and comfortable inside and out. The owners have thought of everything when it comes to accomodating guests. Having a separate cottage for family members that might need a bit more quiet time is a wonderful bonus.

The house and deck area off the back were beautiful. The kitchen was excellent and well stocked. The views of the lake were perfect from every vantage point. A lot of steps to the lake but that gave us good exercise and wonderful views. Loved our week and Abby was so responsive to our questions.

Family Vacation at the Lake

We had a great week on the lake. The house and cottage met our familyā€™s needs. There are a lot of steps so take this into consideration for your group. My only complaint was it seemed that the owner kept adding charges like for extra cleaning or linens. I would prefer knowing all of the costs upfront. Other than that place was awesome.
