Food and shopping are nearby. Two pleasant surprises were a playground just up the hill and a ping pong table in the basement. We stayed for an event at Weber State. Getting there and back was easy and not too far. The house was very suitable for our needs.

Not handicapped accessible, multiple steep stairs both levels. Outside of the property is unusable (no BBQ grill, no furniture, guest in the back yard apartment)Section of ceiling open over basement toilet, Basement bedrooms have no emergency egress windows.

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing is intended to be as transparent and accurate as possible. The property is not advertised as handicap accessible, and every accessibility question on the VRBO listing is marked "No." In addition, the listing includes multiple photographs clearly showing the stairs on both levels so guests can determine whether the home is suitable for their needs before booking. Regarding the outdoor space, the listing does not advertise a BBQ grill or outdoor furniture as amenities. It also clearly states in the opening property description that there is a separate tiny home located in the backyard that is rented independently, so this is disclosed before a reservation is made. I also want to clarify that both basement bedrooms have code-compliant emergency egress windows. They are equipped with blinds, but they are present and fully functional. The comment stating there are no egress windows is simply inaccurate. With respect to the basement bathroom ceiling, it has a suspended (drop) ceiling with removable ceiling tiles. If a tile had been displaced during the stay, I certainly appreciate it being brought to my attention and will inspect it. However, there is not an open hole in the ceiling as the review suggests. We are a small, family-run business that takes pride in providing a clean, comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. We strive to describe our property honestly so guests know exactly what to expect before they book, and we appreciate those who take the time to review the listing details and photos to ensure the home is the right fit for their stay.

Our host Denise was excellent. Her communication with us was quick and very helpful. The house had all the needed necessities and made it comfortable to stay for a week.

The owner alerted me to road closures that would negatively impact our stay, which I appreciated. However, when we approached the house, it was clear that no one had entered in a while. Phone books were weathered outside, mail was loose in the mailbox on the wall. Thick cobwebs were in places like the door jam. We had a 90 drive to the house, so we did use the bathrooms. I discovered the bathroom soap dispenser was empty and there were dead bugs in the sink basin. The shower had two dead black wasp/hornets and hundreds of little black bugs, many crawling around. There was a cheese stick between the couch and end table, probably left from a prior guest, but should have been found by the cleaners. I bent down to pick it up and spotted a few dead bugs in the corner behind the table. We then noticed dead bugs in every room along the walls where there was tile. One bed downstairs had all 4 pillows on one bed and none on another. That's when we wondered if the home had been cleaned between guests. The owner said the house was cleaned on June 26th, but honestly there were so many dead bugs in every room that the kids and I couldn't get comfortable bringing our stuff in the house. The owner asked for photo proof but my app doesn't have a paperclip or plus sign to add photos. I offered to email or text them but all communications go through VRBO. Said they would send a cleaner but if I chose to leave the house I need to contact VRBO for further support. WE LEFT / REFUND REQUESTED

I chose this neighborhood in South Ogden because it is a prime location for many reasons. It is centrally located to Weber State University, Hill AFB, McKay Dee Hospital, it is also minutes to tons of restaurants and shopping. The outdoor activities are endless, any season of the year!

The property is not only centrally located, but it is also on a quiet cul-de-sac, and it backs up to a golf course. The property has a main home, and in the backyard, there is a tiny home. Both are rented out separately.
