This is newly remodeled modest beach house is waiting for you. Be transformed to this island paradise and have the rays of the sun and the sounds of the ocean be your alarm clock. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of your daily grind, experience rest and relaxation, consider this your home away from home.

Come discover an area that has gone unnoticed for years. The house located in a residential area, so if you are looking for night life, this is not the house. We are located on the beach, where it is very beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. All the pictures are taken from the house and yard. The house is located on an lot shared by my two other long-term rental properties. This house is adjacent to a common walkway that is accessible to the public beach.

The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (one inside and the other outside), sleeps 4 comfortably, but can accommodate 2 more. Linen and beach towels are provided to our guests. There is a washing machine and a clothes line is available to air dry your laundry. This property has a full kitchen, equipped with a microwave, crystal, cookware, coffee maker, toaster; utensils, starter paper products; internet and cable television are available for our guests. We've gone green and solar panels recently installed for this property. Owner lives close by and available to attend to the property, if needed.

Grab your favorite tropical drink, enjoy your meals outside on the lanai, or simply step outside to bask in sun and enjoy the ocean view. We added several decorative features incorporated throughout the house from the lava rocks embedded on the exterior, a surfboard as the bar counter top, the decorative tile work on the lanai floor, patio bench, and to the outdoor shower, and you’ll get a kick out of the outdoor bathroom cleverly concealed as a tree house.

For outdoor activities, there are boogie boards, snorkeling and swim fins for you to use. Five minutes away from your vacation rental is a series of shopping centers, containing grocery stores, drug stores, fast food, and multiple local and ethnic restaurants for your dining pleasure. Also nearby are six golf courses, tennis courts, and a historic train ride attraction. You will be a short drive away with more venues for your viewing, shopping, and dining pleasure. The Waikele outlet Shopping Center, the USS Arizona Memorial, and the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet are just a convenient drive from your location. We are 15 minutes away from the new Disney Hawaii Resort, Aulani. The North Shore is approximately 30 minutes away with world famous surfing beaches, and visitor highlights such as the Macadamia Nut Farm, the Dole Plantation tour, Waimea Falls, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and several local luau’s, shops, and restaurants. An added tidbit, during the summer months Ewa Beach is great for surfing and the North Shore is know for surfing during the winter months.

Amazing stay right on the water’s edge!

Loved this bungalow! Perfect house on the beach! We enjoyed being on the ocean’s edge , the Hawaiian New Year’s celebration, and the central location. The home had everything we needed. The sand, sun and surf were amazing! Thanks, Don!🌴

Nice house on the beach. Great for four people; we had six, so we needed to use pullout couch and additional air mattress. Locked gate for extra security. No dishwasher. Nice patio area with lots of tile work, outdoor shower for rinsing off after use of beach. Kind of rocky ocean area.

Private Piece of Paradise

Thank you Don for providing myself and my family with a wonderful environment. We all enjoyed the house and yard very much and already miss the peaceful sunrises. I found the neighbors both inviting and informative. The beach very clean, and even had the opportunity to see a Monk Seal sun itself just down the beach from the house. The pictures accurately reflected in the inside of the house, and the outside covered porch and yard are even better than the pictures suggested.

Best place to stay!

My husband & I with our friends decided to take a trip to Hawaii for our anniversaries this year. This home was perfect for our needs. Very clean & maintained. Equipped with everything we needed all we had to get were some groceries which were within 5 minutes away. It has an amazing view with very easy beach access literally through the back yard. The home is located in a non tourist spot which makes it even better for privacy & not all the headache & chaos of crowds but yet still close to all the sites. We enjoyed staying here very much & will come back to this same spot. Thank you so much Don for letting us stay in your home & making our vacation so much more memorable. We really felt like we were at home here it was that comfortable.

Exactly what we were looking for!

This sweet beach cottage was perfect for our getaway to paradise! We were in town for a wedding but we were traveling with another couple and a 6 month old baby so we wanted something close to the ocean so we could still be outside when the baby was napping. This house had everything we needed. We ate all of our meals on the lanai rain or shine (the rain only lasts a few minutes anyway), spent everyday in ocean in our backyard and watched the sunset every night. A/C or some larger fans would've been nice but other than that, it was perfect! We want to come back every year!! Thank you Don and Violeta for everything.

Ewa Beach Retreat

Our family had the pleasure of staying at this property recently. While Eva Beach is a little bit of a drive from the Honolulu, it's worth the extra time. The property has everything that you may need for a relaxing island vacation. We really enjoyed living "on the beach" and we were pleasantly surprised at how little traffic we observed. We are not restaurant types so we appreciate the ability to go to the local Safeway and get food that we can prepare. The backyard is well appointed and nothing beats having your coffee while watching the sunrise over Diamond Head. Well, maybe the evening BBQ listening to the waves and watching the stars. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a place in the Honolulu area.

Amazing views and beautiful beach. Clean property with everything you need.

We had an amazing stay at this Ewa Beach property! The area is quiet and the beach views are incredible. First impression of the property is how clean and well stocked the house was. It gets hot inside during the day as some of the rooms are open air, but there were plenty of fans and A/C units in the bedrooms to keep them comfortable at night. Our favorite part of the house was walking the beach and finding ocean glass. The beach isn't great for swimming as there are rocks in the shallow area, but the deeper water is great for surfing. Small store only a couple of blocks away that had all essentials plus beer/wine/liquor. We loved visiting your property and will be back again!

GREAT VACATION!!!

The house was great! We ate every meal outside on the patio! The beach was PERFECT!!!!! It was well worth the money having a beach 20 feet out your back door! :) There were a few bugs inside, but if some form of bug killer was sprayed every other day before leaving for the day, then you would probably never see any bugs at all. We kept all of our food in the fridge, just in case. But, ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE HOUSE!!!!! Don was super nice! The neighbor was super nice too! FANTASTIC place to stay!!!! We want to come back!!

The only place to stay!

We had such a relaxing wonderful time staying at this cute fully functional beach house. The ocean and beach is right there, plenty of activity going on in the ocean with all the surfers, boats, and airplanes. The kitchen had everything you need to cook simple things including a rice cooker. Definitely see what is there at the house before you shop for food. The Eva beach area is really nice and conveniently located,close to north shore, Honolulu, and the mountains. Costco is not far away and Safeway and Foodland are conveniently located, a little market that carrys a little bit of everything is within walking distance from the house. The house is pretty private, the neighbors to the right has a bird that squad is, not too annoying, and the neighbors are all pretty to themselves and quiet. Great place to stay and I can't wait to visit again.

Enjoy Oahu away from the crowds.

The ocean is immediately off the patio which fit our expectations perfectly. We found the house basic and clean. There is a good shower with lots of bath towels AND beach towels. We lived outside on the covered patio and lounge chairs on the grass. There are lots of beach toys in the outside "tree house/toilet shed." Do not expect privacy as other properties are close, adjacent guests access the beach on the side of the yard and of course, people are frequently on the beach in front of the house. All that being said, everyone we met was friendly and our hosts were both accommodating and welcoming. Eva Beach is away from the frenzy of Waikiki which allowed us to relax and enjoy our warm week in the sun.

Fantastic Property

We were a group of six adults and stayed from 3/30/17 to 4/10/17. We absolutely loved this property. We had breakfast on the lanai every morning and wound down our day listening to the waves every night. The house was the perfect size for us and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only small inconvenience is when anyone is in the shower, if you run the water in the kitchen it affects the hot and cold water in the shower. However, we just learned not to use the kitchen sink when the shower was running. The location in Ewa Beach was very convenient to the H1 so traveling anywhere on the island was very easy and we loved the local vibe of the neighborhood. In addition, Safeway is close and I recommend that you get a Safeway card, even if you don't register it. After we stayed at this house, we move to the yellow house next door for two days (we added two days to the trip) and we were pleased with that house as well. Don and Violetta were very accommodating and we would rent from them in the future.

Looove Love LOVE!

My family and I loved staying at this property!!! We are originally from Oahu, and in 12 years of living there never found ourselves south of Ewa. The view from the house in Ewa Beach is AMAZING! Our cousins and friends who live on the island and visited us during our visit were in awe of the place, too!!! It was fun to BBQ on the lanai and let them experience the splendor of the island that so easily gets lost when one actually lives there. The house has so much character and is wonderfully constructed. Don did amazing work on the detailing. There were plenty of towels, cookware, snorkel gear, beach mats, and boogie boards. We were never without anything! It was fantastic to have our own outdoor shower just five steps from the ocean!!! What we really enjoyed about this property was Don!!! He is so nice, caring, and always available for questions. We loved talking story with him, and my mom always took him up on his offer(s) of mangoes from Waianae side :) We would definitely book this property again!

Beach Bungalow with Million+ Dollar View

We had a lovely time at this property. The beach was wonderful. The airflow thru the house was great. Did not run into any traffic problems getting into Ewa like some reports on other website about EWA, but we mostly traveled between 10 and 4. This is not a tourist area. You are living with locals here which we prefer. The house was well furnished with cooking things, what they did not have we were authorized to purchase and were promptly reimbursed. Don put more than one whimsical "touch" to his remodeling which is a nice change with everything else in the world being so cookie cutter. Jim, the manager there at the time was very helpful. It was so nice I wanted to have a party and share it. There is yoga nearby in Ewa for those that might be interested. Be sure and check out the Don Quijote store on Farmington Hwy just east of 76. Sort of a Japanese Super Walmart, kindof . . . Public transportation is available nearby, although cars are inexpensive to rent in HI. The proximity to the ocean is awesome.

Beautiful beach and so much character!

We absolutely loved staying here. The yard is perfect for kids. We have a 1 year old who was able to run around in the yard without worry of getting out on the beach, or getting lost or hurt. He loved running around the yard and turning on the shower to play in the water. The entire property is filled with unique character and details from the decorative tiles to the fun outdoor bathroom tree house. We loved being able to play on the beach, then shower off outside and lounge around the yard soaking up the rays. The patio is perfect for family dinners or drinking your coffee in pj's in the morning, watching the surfers come out. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. We saved a ton of money by doing groceries and cooking at home instead of having to eat out all the time. Don had just finished installing a wall to block noise from the neighbors so we had no problems with that as a previous reviewer had mentioned. Plus the wall was decorated with fun tile whales and animals. Don was very welcoming and helpful. The view from the yard is incredible. We could see all of Honolulu and Diamond head. At night the lights of Honolulu were beautiful. We even watched the fireworks display in Honolulu on Friday night right from the yard! We loved everything about our stay here. Thanks Don!

Quiet and relaxing!

If you want a quiet place to relax with friends, this is the place for you. It's tucked away in a neighborhood and it's quite a drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu. If you're expecting a luxury condo, you're going to be disappointed. If you're low-key, laid back and want to just relax, this place is perfect. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We did see some ants in the kitchen and a small lizard in the living room, but we figure that it's a tropical climate and to be expected. We just kept most things in the fridge. The house is literally steps from the beach and we aren't about to complain. The beach right out front is a little rocky, so bring some water shoes if you're wanting to swim. Although Don & Violeta have a stash of beach gear for you to use. Water shoes, boogie boards, sand toys, fishing poles, coolers...and tons of other stuff. Check to see what food is in the house before you run to the Safeway for groceries. Also, if you don't already have a Safeway loyalty card, you can get one in the store. Saves you money on food for your stay. There are also lots of local restaurants in the area that are really good if you don't want to cook. The traffic in Honolulu is pretty terrible, so don't expect to get anywhere quickly once you leave the Ewa Beach neighborhood. If you want the "big city" feel, I wouldn't stay here. If you want a quiet night watching the surfers and waves, this house is perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for.

The Lava Rock House at Ewa Beach was Awesome!

The house is small, but very nicely set up and stocked with plenty of extra pillows, blankets, as well as, suitable cooking and dishware. The refrigerator door is a little off, so it pops when you open and close it. But it appears to seal properly and keeps food cold. One of the lower drawers in the refrigerator is broken and is a pain to open and close. It should be replaced, but you can make it work if you're very careful with it. There are a lot of decorating touches to make the house extra cute inside & out. The covered lanai and back yard are incredible! The beach is beautiful, but there are a ton of rocks in the ocean at that location. So, it is not a great swimming area at all! But the positives about the property, outweigh the negatives by a long shot! We used this location for a family gathering on July 4th and my entire extended family. who all live in Hawaii, joined us. Everyone thought the house & especially the yard was amazing. The local family members even plan on renting it annually to do a family gathering amongst the siblings & their kids. Our daughter wants us to go there every year, from now on. I'm not sure we'll be back every year, but we'll definitely be back again! Don & Violeta are very friendly and are readily available, if needed. We, however, did not need them, as anything that wasn't perfect, was very minor and not a significant issue. We will definitely be returning to this property again!

Return stay at Ewa Beach lava house

The Ewa Beach lava house offers the perfect location for viewing spectacular sunrises over Diamond Head and brilliant sunsets to the west. The idyllic setting allows you to take walks on the uncrowded beach, take a dip in the ocean or relax on the large lanai. The house is quaint and nostalgic This laid-back atmosphere and the proximity to many tourist venues is the reason I wanted to stay here on my return visit to Oahu. Don and Violeta have always been great to work with to make sure that your stay is comfortable and accommodating.

Great value for our large family!

Violetta was great to work with and the house/property was just as expected. We had a very easy time rebooking due to covid. The property was simplistic but perfect for what our family of 6 needed. The backyard and beach are definitely the best parts of this home!

Awesome place with amazing views

We loved staying here. So much room outside to entertain, covered, lots of comfortable furniture. The beach, sunrise, sunset, and a nice little sandy walk into the ocean, were as other properties next to us had rocks. Love it! Will stay again.

Needs things

This is a lovely location. It needs some repairs. Screen door needs replaced. All the pillows need to be replaced. Hidebed was dirty and I couldn't find any bedding for it. The fan over the stove wasn't working. The manager came to fix a broken toilet immediately. *

I'm originally from the Czech Republic and came the U.S. in 1982. I own my mobile mechanic business in Oahu. I used to live in California for 20 years and moved to Hawaii in 1999. I have an European accent and understand and speak English fluently. I can be available as a tour guide or can recommend local areas/places to check out. I love to swim in the ocean and try to make it a habit at least 2-3 times a week.

I remodeled this house from top to bottom from the roof, to the landscaped yard, lava rock exterior, the decorative tiles throughout the house and patio areas. I purchased this home in 2011 and slowly remodeled to make it a rental property. We've gone green and solar panels recently installed for this property. This house is steps away to the beach and ocean.

What makes this property unique

We added several decorative features incorporated throughout the house from the lava rocks embedded on the exterior, a surfboard as the bar countertop, the decorative tile work on the lanai floor, patio bench, and to the outdoor shower, and you’ll get a kick out of the outdoor bathroom cleverly concealed as a tree house. The outdoor table has a built in checker board to play chess or checkers.
