This House was exactly what we needed for 5 weeks. It was the perfect location and perfect atmosphere. The house is well kept and very beautiful. The pool was an added bonus. The owners were AMAZING!!! SO friendly and were available at all times. We enjoyed it so much that we cant wait to book in the future. WE were blessed beyond measure.

One of the best

This is my very first experience with VRBO and let me tell you….Mrs. Emily is amazing. She was prompt with my questions and even checked in with me throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. Let’s not even begin to talk about the house. OMG it was so stinking cute and just like she said on the listing. The area is quiet and super safe. So many things to do around the area. This is a hidden gem and Mrs. Emily is the best.

Awesome place to stay close to city

Was a great property that is very clean and well maintained. Would stay here again anytime I need to be near Dallas but don’t want to stay downtown.

Quaint and charming House

We really enjoyed our family gathering. The house was super clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy. We walked up to the town square just steps from the house. We enjoyed the old time bakery. We highly recommend this house and neighborhood. The owners were very accommodating.

Great Home, Awesome Location

Emily was great to work with on the rental. We loved the home, great space, great location. Close enough to Dallas / Ft. Worth to do anything needed. We were there for almost a week, traveled around and looked forward to returning to the vacation home each evening, as opposed to a motel. Would definitely rent this home again.

Old faithful

This will be our second stay and in a year from now we will hopefully have a third. Really enjoy this property, its a quick commute to all things Dallas and the house itself is charming and welcoming. We slept comfortably with all the necessary amenities. Owners are very friendly and we really appreciate all the thoughtfulness behind the stay. Kitchen has been updated very nicely and some new perks noted on the home was a nice surprise..Definitely recommend this property!

Emily was a gracious host, patient with this first-time VRBO guest and answered all my questions within 24 hours. It was a great place for our family to gather (three couples) for a family wedding in Dallas. We enjoyed the Lovin’ Oven bakery and Casserole Soul Cafe just a block away. With a front porch and back patio, we could sit and relax in the sun or shade. Emily left a bottle of wine for us, a perfect end to a lovely day. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect place for our Family Vacation!!!

We spent 6 days at this house and it was wonderful! The location was great as we were able to spend time in Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco. After spending busy days in the city it was awesome to come home to a quiet small town. You were close to everything, but away from everything at the same time!! The front porch swing and the little Town Square were my favorites!! The house was decorated absolutely beautiful-We would stay their again in a heartbeat!

Great stay for our girls' trip to TX

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. We planned to visit Waco, Dallas and Ft. Worth and this seemed to be a central location between those areas. The house is really cute. The furnishings reminded us a bit of a Chip and Joanna Gaines house. Emily, the owner, was professional and promptly answered any questions we had. No complaints. Suggestion for the future - offer an option to hang clothes up on hangers rather than just utilizing a dresser. I ended up draping my clothes over the end of the bed so they weren't folded. Emily was kind enough to leave a bottle of wine, some cereal, milk and bottled waters in the fridge for us. What a nice touch! The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the neighborhood. I would definitely describe it as "up and coming." Many houses in the area are in a state of disrepair and have poorly maintained yards. That being said, we never felt unsafe. The house is adjacent to a "square" that has little shops, a bakery and a couple of restaurants. We went to a bar/restaurant called Six Shooters on Saturday night and had a BLAST! Texas folks are so friendly. They had karaoke and a dance floor. Really small place but we loved it.

Lancaster holds a special place in our hearts. When my husband was just five years old, his family moved into a historic home on Centre Avenue — and decades later, we found ourselves back on the same street, restoring a historic home of our own.
This vacation home was actually our first home for ten wonderful years. It’s where we brought home babies, hosted birthday parties, and poured love into every corner. Now, we’ve thoughtfully transformed it into a peaceful retreat for others to enjoy. It’s more than a place to stay — it’s part of our story. And we hope it becomes a beautiful part of yours too.
