Better than the photos

I found this unit to be very clean, the floors are gleaming and area rugs are deep plush. It looks newly painted. The rooms are spacious, the furniture comfortable, and the bed is luxurious and bedding of very good quality. The kitchen is adequate in the way tools and equipment.

I loved being on the third floor - no one overhead and I found the building to be very quiet. There is no elevator, but walking the stairs several times a day is easy even for couch potatoes.

The building is well located to shopping and to accessing the Kuhio highway. The parking is ample and at the front of the property. On the back side, the ocean is the “back yard” it is so close . I loved watching the sunrise from the balcony and it is a front row seat to watch the wind surfers.

Directly across the street are two bakeries. One specializes in croissants and they are heavenly. Both have out door seating.

Overall I enjoyed living here and I would again

This condo is safe, clean, placed in the perfect location to view the entire island, has an INCREDIBLE view AND affordable. It is not modern or "luxurious" so if that's what you want, go to the four seasons and pay the big bucks. This is my second time to the island. The first time I paid more for a two bedroom which was greasy and housed a lot of cockroaches. The TV isn't big but who goes to Kauai to watch TV? I appreciate the secure living quarters and safety that the building provides. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you Alex and Belle!!!! ♥️

Over all good

The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable, it was very quiet and centrally located. You will need a rental car to get around. There are three flights of stairs to drag your luggage up so be in shape!! The rooms were dusty, the bedroom is much warmer that the other part of the living space due to its location to the AC and the only circulation of air in the bedroom comes from a ceiling fan, the other fan in the room was not in working order. There was another fan outside but it was so filthy and rusty we didn't even try it.

Nice property however owner verbally abusive

Overall the property was as advertised and provided good value for the price, with one exception.

When we arrived at the condo there was a list of house rules which stated to please be sure to lock all doors upon leaving. So as we were heading out for our hike, we closed all doors and turned on the air conditioner. When we returned we realized the air conditioner was not working. So we immediately opened every window and door in the condo and notified the owner.

He contacted us and started saying he was a doctor and he offers low rates and this is what you get. He told us to open the windows and doors. I said we did, but when we are away for security reasons as stated in the condo rules we want to close the balcony doors and all windows. We paid to have a working air conditioner. I said I know your rates are low but you advertised a working air conditioner.

He stated “It will take ten days to fix and that if I fix it, I will up your rate per night”. I asked him why he would you up our rates if you fix an air conditioner that was suppose to work upon our arrival ?

That is when t he said to me SHUT UP YOU B…TCH ! If he said it once he said it six times. I thought he was going to have a heart attack.

I asked him to please calm down and he again said SHUT UP YOU B…TCH !!!!!

Then he said “make a decision what you want me to do?

I replied we just want you to fix the air conditioner you advertised as working with no extra expense incurred by us. Again he yelled and screamed SHUT UP YOU B….TCH !!!!

My husband heard it all and could see I was very upset so he took the phone and said “You can’t speak to my wife like this, so we are going to end the call now, as we are not achieving anything. I do hope you reconsider how you spoke to us tonight and call us back to discuss this problem in a reasonable manor.

I was so shaken by his behavior I told my husband we should notify the police as he may show up at the condo to hurt us.

Never would he have gotten our business if he had told us that he did not have a working air conditioner.

SIX DAYS later his wife called to say they have a new air conditioner and they would like to have their handy man install that day. We gave up our morning/ afternoon and stayed in the condo while they installed the unit. I told his wife that he was verbally abusive and he owed me an apology. He did apologize in an email and used the name Linda which is not my name. He said his apology was a new air conditioner. He enc

Great location okay condo

The location of the condo is excellent. It is located on the water but you will have to walk 2 minutes to get to the beach because it is on a bluff which provides wonderful views. The condo is okay but there are some things to be aware of. It is definitely dated with old appliances, furniture etc except for the stove and microwave which seem newer. Small TV (22"-24"?) by today's standards that seems to be on it's last legs. WiFi was not great if you are a person that likes to stream videos. The condo was clean but definitely not spotless. If you are a person that looks behind furniture or at light fixtures to judge cleanliness then you could be disappointed. This is a case of you are paying for what you get. By comparison to other condo's in the area the price is very competitive. You are walking distance to shopping, restaurants (literally across the street,) beaches, river kayaking etc. There are a couple of gas BBQs in the pool area which is out front of the condo. The building seems to be well maintained. There is an onsite management office that you sign in with for your parking pass. There is a lock box system for accessing the condo keys which is convenient. The condo is on a street just off the main highway so you don't get the road noise but have quick access to the highway. There is no AC in the bedroom (AC in living room) but with the ceiling fan and floor fan the room stayed fairly cool. It is a 3 minute drive to Safeway or about a 20 -25 minute walk. Would I stay there again? Definitely yes because of the location.
