Wonderful Cottage by the sea

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 stayed here for three days during our holiday in Ireland. It was a very spacious, beautiful, and clean cottage with everything we needed. Unfortunately during our stay the only two pubs/restaurants around were closed, I am assuming because it was off-season. That did make finding food a bit more challenging, but Doolin is not too far and we found plenty there. The cottage is close the the Fanore Beach and my boys loved exploring the seaside. It is a beautiful area and a great starting point for exploring the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed our time there and Anne was great about making sure that we had all that we needed. I would absolutely recommend this cottage as a great place to stay.

Beautiful cottage built with character & craftsmanship!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Fanore Holiday Cottage! We loved evening peat fires in the fireplace! Ann & John are wonderful hosts, with so many excellent suggestions for visiting local sites. They gave us a wonderful educational tour of Burren Mountain, educating us on history of the Burren. Another perk, the dailey smiling faces of the alpaca near the fence. We would highly recommend staying at Ann & John's holiday cottage. Perfect home base for exploring this area of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way!

Great vacation cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 10 nights in this beautiful cottage! It perfectly accomodated 2 families, 4 adults and 4 children. Everything worked, we had great showers and the kitchen provided enough space to make our meals. Comunication with Anne was easy and simple. We do recommend staying here with a car. It does give you easy access to many places of interest, and then you get to come home to beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this cottage if you wan to get away from it all and explore a local Ireland.

Thank you so much Anne for all of your recommendations and help.

Acreage East of Calgary

Great value, central location and helpful hosts.

  • 5 of 5

Would recommend to all who like to be off the beaten path and happy to drive. The cottages are well maintained. We had a short power failure on Easter Sunday but the hosts had an electrician fix it immediately despite the holiday. Remeber to stop and buy coal for the fireplace.

My impression of the 5 bedroom cottage in Fanore

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we entered the the farming hamlet of Fanore I realized we had found just what we had been looking for. We were coming from Shannon after being in a busy Dublin, Waterford, Kinsale, Dingle and Ennis. I wanted to see and talk with locals. I found that in Fanore and Ballyvaughan. The unique Burren was wonderful as well as beautiful. Anne and her house was just perfect for us. A big cottage with lots of space to spread out. The peat that was provided lasted our entire four day stay, with a cozy fire every evening. Walks on Fanore Beach were relaxing. My wife especially enjoyed waking up to see the livestock curiously watching us roam about. The kitchen was well laid out and had any utensil we needed. The secure parking at the front door was convenient and dinner in Ballyvaughan (a short drive away) had several good restaurants to chose from.

There were several interesting attractions near by and Sunday Mass at the local church made the stay complete. Thanks Anne.
