Willkommen in unserem gemütlichen Strandhaus; Ein wunderbares Ferienhaus für eine kleine Familie. Die Schlafgelegenheiten umfassen: 2 Queensize-Betten, ein Doppel-Tagesbett mit ausziehbarem Ausziehbett. Wir begrüßen junge Gäste mit ein paar familienfreundlichen DVDs, Brettspielen, Büchern und Puzzles.
Durch den Flur zwischen den Schlafzimmern finden Sie eine offene Küche / Esszimmer / Familienbereich. Das große Sofa, der Esstisch, die Theke / Bar und die Hocker bieten einen schönen Ort für Familienurlaub / Spaß Zeit.
Unsere brandneue Küche ist ausgestattet mit: Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Backofen und Kaffeemaschine. Alle notwendigen Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr und Utensilien sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Bringen Sie einfach Ihre Lebensmittel und Appetit!
Haus hat eine neue Wrap-Around-Deck mit vielen Stühlen, Gartenmöbeln und Liegestühlen zum Sonnenbaden. Die große offene Fläche im Erdgeschoss verfügt über 2 Hängematten, in denen Sie die kühle Brise in den sonnigen Nachmittagsstunden genießen können.
Es gibt eine Fülle von Aktivitäten, die Ihre Familie während Ihres Urlaubs hier genießen kann. Sie können schöne Spaziergänge entlang eines ruhigen, sauberen Strandes machen, Kinder beobachten, die in der Sonne spielen, und dann endlich Ihr Abendessen genießen und einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang vom wunderschönen Deck aus beobachten.
Das Haus ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt. Sie können Pläne zum Stranden, Fischen, Krabben oder was auch immer Ihre Herzen wünschen, machen, dann nach Hause kommen und in unserem gemütlichen Strandhaus entspannen.
Für diejenigen, die mehr als nur Strand machen wollen, ist das Haus nur eine kurze Fahrt vom Kino, Minigolf, Moody Garden, Schlitterbahn und Pier Angeln. Es gibt auch viele populäre lokale Gaststätten auf Ostende der Insel, die Sorten von köstlichem Tex-mex, von Meeresfrüchten, von Asiaten, von Schnellimbiß, von Nahrungsmittellastwagenvielzahl ... und von mehr anbieten. Weiter östlich können Sie eine Fähre mit den Kindern nehmen. Um Wartezeiten zu vermeiden, können Sie in einem freien Grundstück parken und die Fähre nehmen. Die Kinder können Vögel mit Brotstücken füttern und nach lokalen Delfinen im offenen Wasser Ausschau halten.

Weekend get away

It's even better in person

It's the perfect distance from the beach, the deck is so spacious and the underneath amenities are awesome! We really enjoyed the outdoor shower after coming in from the beach. Over all our little birthday weekend was perfect for the three of us. Not to mention the owners are very sweet and accommodating we will be back every year for sure!

Great place!

This is a great house, especially if you are a family with young children. The house has everything you need for a beach trip and a great outdoor space (both upstairs and downstairs). As parents with young children, we were especially appreciative of the gates that blocked off the two sets of stairs on the deck. The owners responded rapidly to all questions I sent them via the app. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing family getaway

We had a great weekend with our college kids before they headed back to school. There was plenty of room for all of us, including our dogs. The kids played Monopoly and other games. The 3-D globe puzzle was a big hit. We'd definitely stay here again! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Perfect Island stay!

The Sand Trout was the perfect little cottage for our family of 5 and dog. Just a block from the private beach made for great walks for every sunrise and sunset. The homes wrap around porch was our favorite as we spend much of our time just enjoying the nice ocean breeze and our dog loved being able to roam free as it has a gate at both front and back entrance. We would definitely stay at this little gem again. Thank you so much for sharing your home and allowing us to make it ours!!!

This is a great property in an excellent part of Galveston. The house has everything we needed for our beach vacation. We had our own chairs and shade but this house also features ones you can use. The outdoor bathroom and shower was also a plus. The washer and dryer allowed us to bring less and head home with clean clothes.

We really enjoyed our stay! This was a great size for our family of four, and we loved the proximity to the beach. My tree-hugger side wishes there had been recycling available, but that is probably a city limitation. The amenities available were great and in good shape, and if we were to make another trip to south Texas, I think we would love to stay at this house again. :)

Perfect cozy house with great deck near beach

The house is compact, but it has everything you need to enjoy a vacation near the beach. Inside it has been renovated and the deck and downstairs area seems all new, making it very pleasant! The deck has gates front and back makings it perfect to contain toddlers. The beach is a short walk away. We really enjoyed the beach, sand is very clean, so our kids really enjoyed it. Dealing with Jenny was very easy, always responsive and accommodating. We would definitely come back!

So perfect

The house was perfect for my family! It was exceptionally clean and organized. I loved the labeled cabinets and light switches, having a washer and dryer was priceless as well. The towels were fluffy, the beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook. The beach toys were perfect, being able to rinse off downstairs to keep the home clean was a huge help. The walk to the beach was just a couple of minutes and it is uncrowded and lovely.

Excellent stay!

As noted in the listing, this is a great house for a family (especially with young kids). The upper patio has gates that close (so little ones cannot access the stairs), there is a small table and chair set for kids to eat at and they have lots of beach toys. The house is a fairly short walk to the beach. The owners are great hosts and extremely responsive if you have any questions. One of the days was a bit stormy (due to the hurricane that was moving through the Gulf several hours south of Galveston) and the owners sent a message to check in on us. This was our second stay - we will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable house, large deck, easy walk to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay. Looking for a house that could accommodate 4 adults and 2 small kids. This house was just right. The house was very clean and had most everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes and the beach was not crowded and beach was kept clean. We brought a wagon to haul our umbrellas, cooler, and beach toys. Deck was furnished very well with table and chairs and two more sitting areas. Kitchen was stocked very well but could have used more silverware. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioner worked very well on those hot afternoons. Home owners were very easy to work with and wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.

Great Beach Stay!

We were very happy with the home. No fuss, no frills. Owners were great to work with, had no issues while there so didn't need to contact them. Jenny was kind enough to let us know about an increase in mosquitoes in the area so we could come prepared. We were able to walk to the beach, it was only about 2 blocks! We loved being away from the crowds in and around Galveston. We were about 8 miles to the west of the main strip. Quiet neighborhood, with small grocery and seafood market very close. Would definitely stay again! My 1 minor issue was the bed quality and I don't think the amenities list washer dryer, but they were available on site, super nice when traveling with kiddos. So happy we got to have this family time at a wonderful beach house. BTW Galveston has great, clean beaches. Can't wait to visit again some day.

Great Place to stay

I gave this 5 Stars, not because it is Five Star accommodations, but because it absolutely met my expectations. What it is: Very Well Managed - Jenny is EXTREMELY responsive, from booking all the way through the stay. We had a problem with the AC coming on, and she dealt with it immediately on a Saturday evening. It was not a problem with the AC, but electrical connection. Jenny was on top of it and was ready to have someone come out and address it right away. This wasn't needed, but her willingness to address it immediately proves she does a better job than most management companies. Clean! I never saw one bug inside. This is big to me. Well-Stocked: you could tell this was someone's 2nd home and not simply a rental property with minimal accommodations. All Appliances were new and working, nothing broken, missing, etc. Washer and Dryer worked, oven/Micro toaster, hot water/AC Everything was in good working order. The outside deck was huge and seemed new. The outdoor areas makes the home seem much larger than it is. Recent Upgrades. Home is clean and in good repair. From top to bottom, inside and out, you do not see signs of neglect and deferred maintainence. You see well-kept and manicured, and this is very challenging with the salty air in Galveston. Wifi works well, TVs are good and set up with Netflix and all the latest apps i use at home. What it isn't: Extravagant. This is a basic home and the price reflects this. It is an older home that has been redone. It is CLEAN and remodeled, but it is not BRAND NEW. It is not beachfront, but it is a very short walk. It is a small, two bedroom home with two living areas and one bathroom. There is also a bathroom out doors which is nice if you are coming and going to the beach. We didnt because it was cold. The biggest complaint that I have is that there are no closets available in the house. This would make a lengthy stay a little challenging, but not impossible. For 3-4 days, you can manage. There is a dresser available to store some stuff in that is used as a TV stand in one of the living rooms. And hooks in the bedrooms to hang stuff on. The bedrooms are small too, but the living spaces are big and open so I did not feel cramped. It sleeps 6 people, and we did this without using the fold out. There is a day/trundle bed which was great for kids. THIS GETS FIVE STARS for the value and experience. It is well priced and very well managed. I would stay here again

We recently renovated the house with an additional 200 sq ft and expanded the deck. The process took longer than expected, but after all the works completed, we totally LOVE it. My husband can now live his dream even before retiring, which is a wonderful blessing. My most favorite activity is walking along the beautiful clean beach looking out into the open sea. The sunset/sunrise view on the beach is absolutely breathtaking.

Our home is in located on the quiet west end of Galveston Island. Guests will be able to enjoy a quiet & relaxing time during their stay at our place. There is no passing through traffic inside the subdivision. Our young guests can safely walk to a semi-private beach within a few minutes.
We also have many nice and friendly neighbors in the subdivision. .
We recently renovated the house converting it from an efficiency into a 2 bedroom house. Although the bedrooms are small, we try to make the space as comfortable as possible for our guests. The newly remodeled home feature a spacious wrap-around deck, which provides even more open area for outdoor activities for all. There is an outdoor shower downstairs which is great during hot summer days.
We wish to welcome guests into our "home away from home". All necessary kitchenware and dinnerware are available for preparing delicious home-cooked meals. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, Roku TV, Netflix, Disney Plus, and local channels, DVDs, games, books and puzzles.
Lastly, we sincerely hope our guests will find the Sand Trout as cozy and comfortable as possible. We certainly have enjoyed all our stay there in Galveston through the years.
