Cottage confortable sur le magnifique lac Pocasset Ă  Wayne, Maine

RĂ©veillez-vous au soleil du matin, au clapotis de l'eau sur le rivage et Ă  l'appel apaisant du huard du Maine.

Emplacement paisible et privĂ© sur un lac calme (jet-skis interdits), offrant une excellente pĂȘche, baignade, kayak, canoĂ« et dĂ©tente. DĂ©couvrez une faune abondante, notamment des aigles, des balbuzards, des huards, des hĂ©rons, des tortues, des poissons ou peut-ĂȘtre mĂȘme un orignal!

Le chalet dispose de deux chambres (cinq couchages, y compris un canapé-lit et un lit sur une véranda fermée), une cuisine complÚte avec coin repas, un salon, une salle de bains, un grand porche grillagé donnant sur le lac, une petite terrasse, une table de pique-nique. Le porche est idéal pour une sieste l'aprÚs-midi. La cuisine est équipée de vaisselle et ustensiles. Le salon dispose de siÚges confortables et d'un radiateur au propane Rinnai. Le chalet est entiÚrement équipé, sauf pour les draps, couvertures et serviettes.

Cette location comprend deux kayaks, un canot, un petit bateau Ă  rames et des gilets de sauvetage. Des bateaux Ă  moteur peuvent ĂȘtre louĂ©s Ă  travers le lac (et ils livreront au quai!). À quelques pas du chalet est un joli quai avec une grande zone Ă  la fin pour la baignade, le soleil et la pĂȘche et avec un accĂšs supplĂ©mentaire Ă  un "flotteur" de natation 50 'au large avec une rampe de mise Ă  l'eau. Si vous cherchez de la pĂȘche et de la faune, vous pouvez faire une excursion en kayak / canoĂ« Ă  travers le lac jusqu'Ă  Pickerel Pond!

Wayne General Store, un bureau de poste et Chubby's Ice Cream sont situés dans la ville à moins d'un mile du chalet, ce qui en fait une belle promenade, en kayak, en canoë ou en vélo. Des sentiers de randonnée pédestre et à vélo ainsi qu'un parcours de golf sont à proximité. Le mont Pisgah, une petite "montagne" à Wayne, offre une courte randonnée pour tous les ùges; 30 minutes au sommet avec une tour de feu amusante et escaladable au sommet (avec des escaliers) offrant une vue imprenable sur les lacs environnants. Un centre commercial se trouve à environ 20 minutes en voiture de l'établissement.

Interdiction de fumer ou animaux acceptés. Du samedi au samedi uniquement sur réservation de juin à août.

The camp has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay. It is perfect. The camp grounds, docks, kayaks made my vacation great for everyone.

Pocasset vacation

This is a great rustic hideaway.It checked all the boxes for a great vacation. The location is perfect as we are paddlers and Pocasset is in the middle of lots of other lakes. We want to comr back again and do morr!

Simple camp on a quiet lake

The camp is basic but has everything you need, the lake is quiet without much boat traffic, and the provided canoe and kayaks were perfect.

Beautiful lake and cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Roger’s cabin. The kayaks and canoe were in great shape and easy to launch into the lake. We enjoyed swimming out to the dock, fishing, and exploring the lake. The cabin was clean and very cozy and had all we needed for the week!

wonderful stay

Clean, well-equipped cabin right on the beautiful lake. Great view of the water from the screened-in porch. Kayaks easy to put and get out of the water; comfortable dock. Roger was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Quintessential Maine Camp

Roger’s camp is a little slice of heaven. Lake Pocasset is very quiet and beautiful. The cabin itself was spotless and very comfortable, even in a heatwave there were a multitude of fans to keep us cool. It had a very informative guestbook and was clearly very well cared for. We were happy to have the opportunity to stay at such a nice place.

Perfect as always

I have been coming to this camp for several years and it is simply the best for relaxing and just enjoying some down time. The camp has all that you need and Roger is a great host. I will be back next month again for a wk that is how much I enjoy it.

Lake Life

Roger’s camp on Pocasset Lake is by far the most relaxing place to spend a week or two. Very little boat traffic makes this lake appealing but the wildlife on the lake makes this lake exciting. The camp is simply the best and the dock is the perfect place to spend the afternoon reading and relaxing.

Roomy cabin with great waterfront screened porch

The cabin is clean and very well stocked with pots, pans, plates and utensils. The property is private and the breeze off the lake almost always blows right into porch. Heavenly. The property owner is extremely accommodating and available just minutes away.

Tranquility

Roger’s camp is a wonderful way to escape into a world of peace and quiet. Read a book on the dock or sit by the fire at night and watch the moon rise over the lake. Nothing compares to the tranquility of this lakeside paradise. Hope to come again next year.

Amazingly peaceful

I can't say enough about Rogers camp in Wayne. It is the perfect place to relax unwind and regain some peace. The accommodations are perfect, the location amazing and the amenities available such as the kayaks swimming docks and row boat are added bonuses. The lake is serene at almost anytime of day. I can't wait till next year, which will be my third trip to the camp and I am already looking forward to it.

We love Wayne Maine

Unable to secure our usual rental, we found Roger on VRBO. Even though we’re familiar with the area, I was impressed with his offer to meet us and show us the way. The rustic cabin has everything our group of 5 needed. Plenty of sleeping options, fans, well-supplied kitchen, a big, screened porch. We didn’t feel crowded. Everything was clean and functional, and Roger was responsive by phone for any questions. We loved the dock and lake views - sunrise, moon shots. Just lovely. We didn’t have the best weather for swimming, but the dock was our gathering place. There’s a lot to do in neighboring towns, antiquing, shops, galleries, farms, great ice cream. We keep coming back.

Roger was able to meet us at the cabin. It was a pleasure to meet him. The cozy cabin was super clean and ready to go. We were especially interested in paddling and hiking so he gave us some very helpful pointers. We had a fabulous week canoeing and kayaking. He provided paddles and pfd’s. The loon, the heron and the ducks came right up to the dock! We saw so many species of birds during our adventures. One hot afternoon, we paddled up to Tubby’s ice cream in Wayne and tied up at their paddler’s dock. At the cabin, the internet worked great but to be honest, we wanted to unplug so we put our phones away in a drawer. The lake, the swimming, the simple meals we cooked, and the time sitting on the dock were all we needed. What a peaceful, family friendly lake!
