Weekend for golf buddies
The property is very impressive, and we enjoyed everything about the place. The refrigerator ice maker had been turned off before we arrived, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Otherwise, everything was in very good shape.
We asked for an extended checkout (from 11am to 1pm) on Sunday, and were not granted one. Not sure why our request could not be accommodated, but this was the deciding factor in 4 stars vs. 5.
Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we'd love to have you again. We can only accommodate a late checkout when there is not someone else checking in, as we need the full amount of time to clean the home.
Great place for a large group.
I would go back.

Great home for a big family
We rented this home for a week with our kids and grandkids - 5 adults and 3 kids (including one infant) total. The King's Court accommodated all of us wonderfully, and we spent plenty of time in the house as well as trips to Donner Lake, the recreation facilities in Tahoe Donner, a dinner out in Truckee, and even a day trip to Lake Tahoe.
The home had just about everything we needed and though there were some problems with the electricity in the Master Bedroom/bathroom suite, they were quickly fixed once we let the management company know. The only real negative was that there was no closet space to hang clothes in either of the upstairs bedrooms.
We never did use the hot tub as it smelled of too much chlorine and its setting was not particularly charming, however we really didn't miss it. We were able to roast marshmallows with the kids at the fire pit, and we appreciated that some fire wood was available. The house itself had plenty of room and bedrooms so that we could all go to our own spaces when needed. And the kitchen was very well equipped (though we did bring our own Soda Stream) which we took advantage of as we ate most meals at the home.
We certainly are considering returning when there is snow as it would be a totally new and different experience.
