The house was so cute and comfortable. The location was great for exploring Freeport. The fenced backyard was perfect for my dog to run around. Definitely would come back!
Book it! This house was very comfortable and well appointed. Perfect choice for a home base!
This darling little house has everything you need and more. It was just what we needed for a week's stay in Freeport, visiting family in the area and a high school reunion. The house was a delight to find, with comfortable beds, nice linens, and a well done rustic modern decor. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice dinner or enjoy an Italian sandwich with guests. We enjoyed walking into the village every morning to see what was new on the sale racks and watching the leaves turn color. Despite chilly weather, we were never cold, while the house stayed cool for the last couple days of the Indian Summer. We accidentally locked ourselves out the house, but the owners were very gracious about it and quickly had a new key waiting in the lock box for us when we returned. There is a middle school right behind the house, so there was a little bit of traffic in the morning and afternoon, but it wasn't loud or off putting in any way. It was fun to feel like a local living in a normal neighborhood and not be in the hotel row down the road. Thank-you for letting us stay in your darling saltbox, it was the perfect thing to make our trip a success!
Perfect Maine Getaway
Tom and Colleen's home is lovely. It's quaint and very comfortable. Location is spectacular! We walked to downtown Freeport in minutes!
The neighborhood is quite, the home is cozy and the back deck and yard is perfect.
We hope to be able to return for another visit!
We had a wonderful stay in Freeport. House was very clean, everything we needed for a long weekend stay in town.
Great little house close to town
The house was the perfect size for my wife and I as well as our two pups. The yard was great, a perfect area to relax and have a fire at night. It was spacious and had all of the amenities you need for your stay. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors we met were all very friendly. It was a short walk to the LL Bean campus, and an easy 20 minute drive into downtown Portland. Li's Place is a great spot for a quick meal, it is not your average Chinese food! Wolfe's Neck State Park was great for quick and easy hikes with amazing views of the water. Bow Street Market was a great place for groceries, sandwiches, and had a great local beer selection. Definitely check out Maine Beer Company which is a short drive away, the pizza is as amazing as the beer. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Freeport!
What a great place to stay!
This home is everything it appears to be from the pictures. It is cozy, cute and comfortable. It's also very convenient to town, but when you're there, you have privacy and feel tucked away in the woods. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Freeport area.
