We have stayed here multiple times when going to the Round Top antiques show. The house is always very clean and cosy. The hosts are lovely people with excellent communication and they bring us homemade breakfast treats each morning. Also cannot beat the location. Highly recommend this home!

Lisa, thank you for your kind review. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Eric and Deborah Kolber
This home was in a peaceful country setting. It is very clean, comfortable and close to Roundtop. My daughter and I went for the Spring Antique show. We were a short drive to shopping and restaurants. The host provided delicious breakfast each morning. Check in was easy and host are very hospitable.
The host was very friendly. He met us when we arrived and gave a lot of good information. The house was immaculate and very cozy. We had several food items in the fridge and warm muffins on Sunday morning. (He even gave us range cubes to feed the cows.). We would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful stay! Eric was very responsive and accommodating to our check in needs. Location was very close to downtown Round Top. And don’t even get me started on the homemade cream cheese pastries delivered in the morning! Better than any bakery!

Autumn, it is always a joy to see you and your group. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future. Eric and Deborah Kolber
We booked last minute and everything was ready when we arrived. The owners have done everything to make the Kabin comfortable for their guests. The perfect location for a quiet stay in the country but near Round Top. Highly recommend!
The house was perfect for our girls Round Top weekend. Very clean, comfortable beds. The owner was so nice and helpful with anything we needed. The homemade coffee cake every morning was such a nice touch!
We have already booked for next year!
This was our groups second time to stay, so that should say something! Gracious hosts! Great location for all the fun and shopping around Roundtop. Full kitchen, very comfortable sleeping for 6, nice bathrooms, and the homemade breakfasts each morning are the icing on the cake. Highly recommend, and we hope to return again next year!

Autumn/Lisa's group are a sweet group of friends. They are the kind of guests you pray for. For a large group they left our house in great shape. We do hope to see them again next year.
We go to Round Top 2x a year and this was the cleanest place I've ever stayed. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Country air, cows, birds, and quiet enjoyment. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed Michelle, her husband,Tony and their friends. It was great to hear Tony's stories about his family in Texas. These are the kind of guests you pray for, they appreciate what you do for them and your property. We would love to have them stay with us again.
The Kardinal Kottage is a sparking clean, charming 3-bedroom house in a rural location a short drive from Round Top. Three of us stayed there for a girls weekend. Eric and Deborah were very gracious hosts and communicated with us before and during our stay. They provided a homemade continental breakfast each morning. The home is set back in a rustic setting and close to an enclosed cow pasture. Guests who want to can feed the cows. It is a very comfortable and peaceful property.

Maria, we enjoyed meeting you and Becky& Denise and having you stay at the Kardinal. We're sorry you had to leave early, we hope it was nothing serious. We hope you'll come back and see us again. Thank you for leaving the house in such good shape. We think it is really special that the three of you have been friends for so long. That is a real blessing in this world today. Have a blessed day. Eric and Deborah Kolber
We were a group of 6 (3 adult couples) in town for antique weekend! The house is set up perfectly, everyone had their own space, and two full bathrooms was great! We only stayed one night, but I feel we were treated just as well as someone staying multiple nights! This house is tucked back just far enough to quietly enjoy your morning coffee on the porch with a beautiful view, yet very close to all the hustle and bustle! We really enjoyed the fresh milk, cream, and juices in the fridge. The only thing we were slightly disappointed in was the "hot breakfast" although the breakfast pastries were very good, I do wish the explanation would have said warm pastry breakfast instead of just hot breakfast. Being farm and ranch type people We are just simply not sweets for breakfast people, had we known this we could have brought something and cooked ourselves in the fully furnished kitchen.
Overall, we enjoyed our quick stay and would stay again!

Thank you for the nice review Racheal. I'm sorry we weren't clear enough on the breakfast. We did mention on the agreement that it was a continental breakfast. We hope you will try us again some time.
This is the second time I've had the pleasure of working with this host and both times, they have blown me away with the hospitality, kindness, and generosity! The house is comfortably outfitted with all the amenities you could want - clean towels, soaps, hair dryer(!), full kitchen...and a fridge with fresh squeezed orange juice, a carafe of fresh milk, cold waters, and they provide a delicious, homemade breakfast in the mornings!! They really made us feel at home <3 Some of our guests have a gluten sensitivity and they even went out of their way to adapt a favorite recipe, using gluten-free flour, so our guests could partake...and they were delicious! I've done a fair amount of VRBO rentals through the years and I've never experienced such gracious hospitality such as this. They're communicative, helpful, and their thoughtfulness is unparalleled. It was a pleasure working with Eric and Deborah and we hope to stay with them again and again!

We have been blessed to have these three friends stay with us twice. They are fun loving and very appreciative, just the kind of guests you hope for. We look forward to the next time they come to the Cottages of Winedale.
Home was very clean and communication with the owners was always prompt. Home was in a pasture and a great way to connect with the beauty of nature.

Shannon's family was a lovely bunch. Her aunt & uncle came from Rockport and Shannon's family came from the D/FW area and they met here in the Kardinal Kabin. We enjoyed talking to her uncle Robert a lot. Very nice family and very respectful and appreciative of the work that has gone into the property. As most guests do they enjoyed feeding the cows.
We hope they will come back again. Wonderful guests.
The Kardinal Kottage was clean, beautiful, and comfortable! Eric was an awesome host! He was prompt with texting and offered us drinks, snacks, and breakfast. The porch with wooden rockers was perfect for the weather this weekend! We had a great experience and look forward to going back for a longer weekend!!
We had a wonderful stay at Kardinal Kabin at Cottages of Winedale. We stayed only one night to go to Round Top Antique Show. This property was perfect, very short drive to all the shopping. The owners were great, very attentive and accommodating. The breakfast was a nice surprise. They took care of every detail for us. We will definitely come back.
