The place was adorable! Lots of amenities. Close to Brenham, Round Top, Fayetteville and Carmine. We enjoyed everything about Burton and the surrounding areas.
Loved everything about this property and our stay! The house had some extra touches, and the location was quiet but close to shops and restaurants. Will highly recommend!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We love sharing our house with others and it brings so much joy to my heart to know that you enjoyed our cottage as much as we do.
We love this house! Air conditioning was great. Very clean. Only complaint is the difficulty getting in and out of the tub. It would be nice if it was just a shower. We wish we would have known that most of the restaurants are closed on Monday so we could have eaten in Roundtop before heading home. We found the steak place open, so was able to eat! We will be back!
We were going to the Antique Week. Loved the house, so clean and great sheets ...

Stayed in Burton for a weekend of shopping at Round Top. The location was good for getting to Hwy. 237 quickly. House was okay for the 3 of us, each had our own bed.
Charming old house & quiet town...perfect for a respite for long term caregiver. I recommend some kind of safety aid for in & out of the shower/tub combo, though.
We had a great stay over the weekend at the Bluebonnet Bungalow. The owner has put a lot of thought into what a visiting guest will need during a rental like this, and as a result, we had everything that we needed for the full weekend. The house appears to be recently renovated, and the furnishings and living spaces and kitchen were all complete with basics that an out-of-town would need during our stay. The beds were very comfortable and we would recommend this to anybody who is visiting the area.
We absolutely loved this cottage and its proximity to Round Top! Very cozy and safe feeling, all the amenities and far enough from the beaten path to be a breath of fresh air! Bring groceries from Brenham and spend the day in Round Top!

This little house was super adorable and has such an amazing “old farm house” vibe, we absolutely loved it! I would choose this house over a modern house time and time again.
Bluebonnet bungalow was perfect for two friends attending the Round Top winter show. Darling house with everything you might need. Well stocked and close to restaurants. We will definitely be back.
This was the cutest VRBO! The personal touches from teh hosts made it very special. We loved how quiet it was. The location to Round Top for antique week was perfect, just a short 10-15 minute drive. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again!!
Really enjoyed the farmhouse bungalow in a very quiet neighborhood. Many extras were supplied such as coffee and creamer, snacks, and toiletries. The best thing was sitting on the back porch and watching the cows, horses, and deer.
This house was cute, clean, and pretty much as pictured. We did have a couple of issues, reached out to the owners in the morning, and they came that evening to fix them. Burton is a sweet, quiet little town.
I stayed here on a girls trip. The house is adorable and perfect for our needs. Even though it was cold, we were able to sit on the back porch and watch the sunrise and the cows. It was cold when we arrived but with the electric heaters it warmed up quickly. The only thing we suggest is to add another full length mirror in the bedroom with the two beds.
The home had all the creature comforts we could ask for, however, the only real drawback that would sway us from booking again was the claw foot tub. It was difficult to step into because there were no hand rails, and the side was very high. Plus the wrap around plastic shower curtains were very claustrophobic feeling. The hot water handle repeatedly fell off. We did appreciate the strong water pressure though! The bungalow was was very cool and comfy. Loved the window A/C units.
The Bluebonnet Bungalow is a quaint home, beautifully renovated with a combination of modern and antique. The temperatures were perfect for us to enjoy the screened-in rear porch for an afternoon nap or happy hour. Enjoyed viewing the birds, deer and cows while sitting out there. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom well equipped with everything we needed. Melissa our host was quick to answer texts and provide suggestions on restaurants. We will be back. Perhaps during next year’s wildflower season.
This was such a cute nice little house to vacation in. Lots of goodies in the kitchen and very cute decorations. The air condition is window units and it would been nice if they were turned on the day the guest arrive so that it would be cool. It was very warm the first night when we slept. The bathroom lighting was very dim and could use some better lighting and may be a larger mirror for women to do their make up and hair.
I was initially disappointed due to horribly noisy air conditioner & ceiling fan in main bedroom. Noisy but cool OR very hot but quiet! Super comfy lounge furniture but very hot w/out the noisy air conditioners. Well equipped kitchen. The covered back porch was wonderful & we sat out there on the 2 overcast, windy, rainy days... lovely & cool w/ out the noise!
Place needs a little TLC for sure, but it's charming & its location is perfect.

Well receiving our first four star review is disappointing. A lot of this review seems based on the fact that we have window units. The house is nearly 100 years old and our friends that have attempted central a c in their own farmhouses are my with constant disappointment due to the lack of insulation to maintain the air temperature.
You also failed to provide a shout out for the bottles-plural-of wine we shared with you
TLC insinuates we have dropped the ball. It’s an old old OLD house that most describe as charming and well decorated and comfortable. It’s not the Ritz. You clearly don’t appreciate it for what it is demonstrated by parking all over the front yard.
Ironically you inquired pre arrival about fans as you require background noise for sleeping etc…..seems like a bit of a Goldilocks complex. How much noise is the right amount of noise?
Four stars is a bit insulting. And no we don’t run to the house for a lose sink faucet that works perfectly
The house is 85 years old.
